It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

Security homeland international something-or-other. [Not quite, but this is a foreign world and he's yet to decide what that means in relation to information relevance.

He drops down with more athletic grace than a person might think he's capable of and thinks about Providence. The first thing that comes to mind is the national drop bucket of Rhode Island and he's pretty sure they're not in the States if this is a different world- even if it does kind of look like New Mexico]

Is that an organization here?

[Six shakes his head.] BREW decided to drop me off here last month.

Hallucinations a package deal or something? I'm not a scientist or anything, but I'm pretty sure stars aren't supposed to look like that.

You're not hallucinating. It really does have a face and it really does laugh and drool. The moon does it, too, though it drools blood.

Something to look forward to, I guess. So you work for these Shibusen guys now?

Technically, yes.

[Well, sort of. More like the unwritten contract puts him under Kid's command to do with or ignore as he sees fit.]

They the government of this world or just the army?

[sixthdeadliest]

Neither. They're an independent entity that deals primarily with those humans that start to become demon gods.

Demon gods. [That doesn't sound promising] Think I missed that part in the tour.

You probably got the basic overview. They didn't really cover that much in-depth for my group either.

So they want new agents operating on half-assed information?

Probably don't want to scare newcomers half to death. Most of it gets covered in Morning Training which is optional.

Well I guess that's something. [Still skeptical, Clint catches his hand flexing, trying to grip a weapon that wasn't there. He frowns and forces his fingers to still]

Do we get weapons there?

We can purchase mundane weapons if we save up enough money. Otherwise, your only other option is to find a Weapon you can resonate well with and become partners.

So can two Weapons partner for missions?

I don't see why they can't. Kid's twin pistols can wield each other, but I don't think it's a typical thing. You'd need to practice with your partner though, I'd think.

Alright, so what kinda jobs they got here?

Through Shibusen directly, evil soul collection missions. Usually you need a Weapon-Meister pair for it. Sometimes even multiples, so it's best to find a partner you work well with.

If you're looking for something more mundane, you can ask around at the local businesses to see if they need an extra hand.

However, there's lodging and a monthly stipend via Shibusen for everyone misplaced here.

Well thanks. Guess I'll find something since I'm going to need a few things I don't think'll be covered by guilt money.
