It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

Yeah. You're a lot stronger with a partner. Shibusen has training sessions where people can meet and try each other out, if you're interested.

If that's a good place to find people, then yeah. I'm interested.

They have it every morning over at the training grounds. Did you go on that city tour yet?

Nah. Haven't been outside yet. I kinda wanted to get this out of the way.

Ask the tour guide to point it out for you. You can't miss it. [Unless the tour guide is Excalibur. Perish the thought.]

The weather's clear too. No sandstorms to get lost in today!

Did you say sandstorm?

Yeah. Ever seen one, kid? [He's smiling at the memory, even though the last time he was in one there had been noting to smile about.]

Once. The world I was at had waaaaay more sand than this one does.

Was it all desert back in your world?

Huh? No... I'm from a place called the Destiny Islands.

Some of my friends are from the one I'm talking about, Agrabah.

Agrabah. [he tests the word out on his tongue, looking thoughtful.] Is that in the Middle East?

I don't know?

[ no, he really doesn't know. ]

[oh disney worlds and your disney cities]

Well, could you tell me about it if you find out anytime soon? [The one thing good about being stuck in a different world? Learning new things.] I've always liked learning about new places.

I could tell you about a lot of different places. I've been to lots of worlds.

[raised eyebrows] How do you travel to different worlds?

[heartdive]

Gummi ship, mostly.

[bookpapers]

Gummi ship? [what. what is that. he is so interested] Does it travel by sea?

[heartdive]

Ha ha. Riku and I built a raft once, thinking it would help us reach other worlds. But that's not how it works.

All worlds are connected by paths of light and darkness. We used the gummi ship to fly between worlds using these pathways.
