It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

[Eridan moves closer at that, relaxing his tense shoulders just a bit. The main part of the tour he was looking forward to finally.]

Very well. Follow me and we'll be finished shortly.

[The short human leads him over to a machine. It appears to be standard x-ray equipment, a small red x marked where new arrivals are to stand. Soon, the machine is whirring]

If you would, stand on the x and hold your breath.

[nauticalnightmare]

[He gives the machine a mistrusting glance before obeying the other's orders and standing on the x, concentrating on not breathing.]

[pishirogane]

[With everything in place, the machine is activated. It whirs, moving only slightly as it scans up and down. It's only a few seconds before it dings.]

You can exhale now.

[nauticalnightmare]

[He does so slowly, wondering why it has to be so fucking complicated and don't they have easier ways of doing this shit?]

Wwell?

[Of course, there's no immediate answer. They're staring at a screen, but then...]

Meister.

[nauticalnightmare]

[That grin is all at once insufferably annoying and far too pleased.]

That's wwhat I fuckin' though. A course someone like me wwouldn't be subjected to bein' a fuckin' wweapon for some other asshole to use.

[The human rubs the bridge of their nose. Well, they were a Weapon for one...]

Then I'll have to wish you luck finding a Weapon.

[Which of course reminds him of his predicament and the fact that finding one really is his top priority.]

...About that. Do you knoww just howw many long ranged wweapons are around lookin' for a meister?

[That makes them pause and rub their chin]

... Several I'm sure, but I can't exactly say how many. Shibusen would know more concerning that information.

Wwell, the sooner the better.

[Asking Shibusen would just be a waste of his time though, so there's really only the option of looking into things himself.]

[No use being a total dick to everyone up front. At least not until he gets a method of defending himself better than just his claws.]
