EVENT: The Great BREW Malfunction Pt 1 [OPEN]

Description: ...something strange is going on here.

At some point, something strange begins to happen. People start randomly disappearing. Sometimes they reappear immediately after and they may not even notice, but sometimes there's a noticeable lag between their disappearance and their reappearance.

Sometimes, they don't even reappear in the same place!

At least it doesn't seem to be dangerous. Unless you disappeared from your kitchen and reappeared at the other end of the city. In which case, you might want to start running.

Either everything sort of points at this being BREW related (after all, if it were Witches, there would be a lot more danger).

How would I know? It's not as if I ever turned into this stupid thing before! And it's not as if you could test it out when you turn into a sword.

[But weird... Doesn't it seem like there might be a faint connection forming anyway?]

[Nanami, still crouched down at this point just stares at the cup for a minute]

Who says I can't test it out? I've resonated with another weapon before.

[She stands up again with a smirk and starts bringing the cup toward her lips, it's a shot after all and after the last party she is somewhat familiar with those.]

I'm going to try you out. Just do me a favor and try not to burn my tongue.

Hey, don't put your mouth on me!

[But whether Morgan likes it or not, there's not much she can do about it and the level in the glass does seem to be rising as the link forms. The liquid is hot both in terms of warmth and spiciness.]

[The idea of putting her mouth on a girl causes her to pause briefly before allowing her curiosity get the better of her. She sips the liquid, her eyes widening and cheeks puffing out a bit like a chipmunks. She covers her mouth with her hand for a moment frantically while looking for water to chase it down. Aaaand then she accidentally swallows it ]

It's like a burning inferno in my throat... [she manages to gasp out, the heat radiating off of her breath. And then she attractively burps out a small flame...] Oh my!

[Another weird thing about being in this form was that she couldn't feel much even though she knew Nanami was holding her. But it was probably for the best; she'd rather not know where her lips were.]

[Then, as if things weren't weird enough already, that little flame appears and Morgan stares in astonishment.]

What just happened? Blood Island Volcano Shots are hot but they're not supposed to turn you into LeChuck!

What?! What's LeChuck? [...And now she's hiccuping tiny fireballs, hopefully everyone had already read the note that was posted on the wall because it was now ash]

[Whoa! Blood Island Volcano Shots definitely didn't do that back home!]

The ghost pirate that Guybrush defeated. Well, I guess he was a demon pirate then. The stories said he could breathe fire!

Well then, I think we found your weapon attack at least.

[She coughs and a little black smoke billows out] Oh.. oh good I think it's over. That was just a few drops, just think of what drinking a whole cup might do. Anyhow, why don't you change back? I need some water.

People are supposed to drink from me to use me as a weapon and then kill their targets with their breath!?

[She makes a face, not pleased with that idea.]

Change back? How? I don't even know how I got like this in the first place.

Fire breath. [She corrected Morgan]

You just... [Oh... Nanami did all this pretty naturally from the start.] Um... try imagining yourself morphing from this form into yourself.

[She tries to imagine herself turning back to normal and the glass glows but it doesn't quite work, not shifting form.]

Are you sure that's all there is to it? Why isn't this working? [Morgan just hasn't had as much practice when it comes to mental concentration...]

I'm not sure, that's how it works for me.

[And she attempts to partially transform her arm into her blade without success.]

...It's not working.

[Not realizing Nanami means her own transformation into a sword...]

Isn't that what I just said?

No, I mean, I can't even partially transform into my Scimitar. I tried it see how I actually go about doing it and... now I can't...

[pirateninja]

You can't transform? Are you sure about that? Why would something like that happen? It's already weird enough that I'm a glass!

I'm sure, this is usually the easiest thing in the world! [Scrutinizing Morgan's form] Wait, you don't suppose that if you became a Weapon, I might have become a Meister do you?

[pirateninja]

You think we switched places? But that doesn't make any sense! Those people made it sound like we were supposed to be one or the other. So, we shouldn't suddenly change, right?

[morecowbell]

Well that's really the only possibly explanation for this predicament. So you can't really turn back? ...Do you want me to drop you off at your apartment or something?

[pirateninja]

But even if you did, that doesn't solve the problem of getting back to normal. I'm not stuck like this forever, am I? I don't want to be a glass for the rest of my life! [She actually sounds a bit worried.]

[morecowbell]

No... I mean eventually you'll figure it out, I'm pretty sure everyone does. I could drop you down the stairs... wait no, I guess that's for the other way around.

[She's kind of at a loss]

Well... I'll take you somewhere quieter for now and you can try again.

[Not that Morgan has a choice at this point, so she heads down the stairs and heads for her own apartment which is nearby]

Drop me down the stairs? Is that supposed to be a joke?

[She doesn't sound very amused, not having heard about the falling down the stairs trick for Weapon transformation. And she's making frustrated noises because she can't do anything at the moment but be helplessly carried along.]

I guess some people joke about it but that's not what it was meant to be. [dang this staircase is long] If scaring someone like that is meant to help someone transform into their weapon form then need to do the opposite thing, right?

[pirateninja]

The opposite of scaring someone? That doesn't sound like something you can intentionally do. Unless you mean trying to scare someone and failing so miserably it's laughable.

[She pauses because that might actually work...] I was thinking more of the lines of calmness and tranquility but if you want to try the other way...

[pirateninja]

If you think it'll actually work. [She doesn't want to be stuck like this until who knows when.] Being a glass doesn't inspire much calm and tranquility.
