Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

WHY THIS.

Forgive her expression for dropping a little. She's already resonated with another type of gun once and that went well with their connection. . . but terribly when it came to her actually trying to use the god damn thing. Maybe this will turn out differently.]

Wait, as in inter-dimensional portals that can lead one to a different location? [This is looking up already.] That's actually possible?

Matt shrugs lightly, almost difficult to tell he is shrugging ]

In this world, everything is. But yeah, that's exactly what I do.

[That's one way to look at it until she tries to aim that Portal Gun. Matt will probably die laughing just like Eridan did.]

I don't doubt it with what I've seen so far. [Alright, he gets her full attention now, she tossing her journal back into the bag she brought haphazardly. Whatever it's made of leather. It'll survive.]

I'm game if you are. There is never any harm in trying.

[ Matt nods, and offers her his hand. ] I assume you tried this before.

[Just breathe, sweetie. He's just another gun and this could possibly go a lot better than it did with Eridan.

At least that's the hope. Mindfang is just going to take that gamble and take the hand offered.]

[ Once their hands touch, Matt turns into his weapon form. It's much bigger and perhaps heavier than most guns. As matter of fact, it doesn't look like a gun at all; maybe a small canon. Still, it's necessary to use both hands to wield him, at least for now.

When Matt turns, he quickly allows his soul wavelength to mix with Mindfangs. Never too much, Matt is quite reserved, but plenty if their resonance was good. ]

[ The weapon that takes shape in her hands is definitely far from what she imagined. It looks like something out of a video game. He is quite heavy to hold, but they may have more to do with their resonance than her actual capacity for strength. Unlike Matt, Mindfang doesn't hold anything back. The ambition, the drive, and her own blinding confidence are radiant within her soul.

She's particularly proud of who she is, and what her blood color represents. On the fringes of her domineering personality is her innate bloodlust and greed. Piracy. Old habits die hard, and she's even getting restless from being so inactive these two weeks she's been hanging around this town. It doesn't even occur in her mind to hold back given her last partner. Eridan matched her and then some in his own right.]

[ As Mindfang bears all of her soul to him, Matt adapts with his own. He never really allows too much of his soul to be seen, no matter whom he is resonating with.

However, he has resonated with many people, so this comes easy to him.

He allows her to feel part of his soul. A bit uncomfortable at the initial touch (because souls touching and all that jazz), but soon he turns to be quite laid back and relaxed. Her bloodlust didn't upset him either, and mostly he was quite calm about it (Matt did resonate and go on a mission with a crazy psycho out of his own free will, after that? this was nothing). ]

Alright.

Good? [ as in, please don't throw him if you suddenly feel your hands burning. ]

[Well, Mindfang might have been conscious about what she shared with Matt if she actually cared. There wasn't much to hide. While Serkets aren't open books, they aren't particularly secretive about anything either. In fact, she's surprised by how her own soul reacts to his; easily satisfied with his compliant nature.

When there souls touch she's given a small flicker of something; the shape of soul that's red with the cutest pair of goggles. She doesn't regard it as anything significant for the time being.]

So far. I don't feel anything wrong.

Alright, how exactly does this work? You said you're a gun and a portal maker. How the hell do I control which is used?

[ and it's good for Matt, too. Which means he can allow them to tangle their souls further, to strengthen his resonance with her ]

Portals can only be used if we are resonating well enough to unlock my Weapon ability. [ which they are ]

Before we try any of that, it's better not to assume this works like a gun. There is no recoil, it's heavier than a gun and you will need to hold me with both hands. Also, even if you have amazing aim with other guns - forget it. You will need to adapt to me and learn how to aim with me. [ Matt is like a small canon, but nothing like that. Well, Mindfang isn't all that lucky with guns but perhaps she will be able to adapt well enough with Matt ]

The Portal gun is held with a hand behind the weapon, holding the handle, while the other hand supports the barrel. Do not touch or look directly at the operational end of the device. [ because you will get burned ] The gun has two triggers. To shoot bullets you must press the two at the same time. I will control the amount of bullets.
