Description: The "attraction" was quite the hit last time. Who will you find yourself shacked up with now?

The island the Bazaar sits on is certainly big, but who thought they'd be able to fit an entire river on top of it? The line for the ride is just as large as you'd think it'd be, and it's been split in two with a tall screen to prevent people in both sides from seeing the other.

The staffers operating the line don't seem to care about making it grow; they're literally pulling people unlucky enough to wander too close and shoving them in a line before they can protest. You could try to get away, but the rest of the crowd's pushing impatiently forward and before long, you're up.

You might as well just get it over with. Hopefully the company's nice.

Oh, I... I'm not sure. [Maybe the bouncers just did what they wanted? But a tunnel of love seemed like something that would either be split by gender or sexual orientation.

But regardless, Takuto gets swathed in a sense of awkwardness as the light disappears and they float into the tunnel.]

...Is it just a boat ride? The staffers seemed rather...insistent. [it seems like just a boat ride as far as he can tell, and a fairly pleasant one at that. the little boat moves slowly and the dim light is nice after so much of that hot desert sun recently.

perhaps it's just meant to help people meet others? that would explain the screen. if so, it's a little disappointing that he ended up being paired with someone he already knew. but then, a ride with an existing friend is nice as well.]

Kaworu. This is... the Tunnel of Love. [Its too much to ask for Kaworu to know what that means, isn't it. He'll just be carefully staring at the dark water and trying to not think about how Kaworu is actually a pretty attractive guy and if he weren't involved wih Yako and very committed to not messing that up, then he might not mind at all showing he other boy what this boat ride was really about.]

[he glances over to takuto, none too bothered by the dark, and eyes him curiously for a long moment.]

...It is a nice name. [but humans have all kinds of weird rules about love and that is probably why takuto's acting strangely, really.] Is that a problem?

[He swears he can feel the weight of the other boy's eyes on him but he's determined to not look back.

It's also way too embarrassing to explain this while looking at Kaworu.]

This is a ride for c-couples. The idea is... w-well, it's like it's all dark in here so... S-so no one can see... wh-what y-you're... doing....

[another few moments of silence, but then there's a sound like a short laugh under his breath, and kaworu is smirking at takuto even if the effect is pretty much entirely lost in the dark.]

...I am not going to jump you or anything, if that is what you are worried about. Even if that is the purpose of the ride. [there's definitely a teasing note in his voice. you lilin just get so worked up about the strangest things, you're all really silly okay.]

[Why is Kaworu using that teasing voice right now of all times?!]

I-I never said I thought you were going to!! [Why is there no way to get out of this embarrassing boat? He aims a halfhearted shove at Kaworu, because he doesn't need to be teased like this! It's serious business, alright?!]

Then why do you sound so nervous?

[that shove connects and he just rolls with it, leaning to the side and feeling the boat rock slightly with the motion. it doesn't change the amusement in his voice, though, or the grin on his face.]

[tauborn]

I'm not nervous!

[His voice squeaks a little bit, though, giving him away (as if it hadn't been obvious before). He squints at Kaworu through the darkness, just barely making out the grin on the other boy's face.]

K-Kaworu!! It's not funny!!

But you are obviously lying. It is very funny, actually.

[as far as he is concerned, at least. but he takes pity on the poor human boy and lays a soothing hand on his shoulder, moving rather assuredly despite the darkness.]

Relax. I would never do anything you did not want me to do.

[tauborn]

[He jumps just a little at the contact, and then tries his best to keep his heart from pounding. It's a good thing Kaworu can't read his mind--the redhead was hard-pressed to think of something Kaworu could do that he didn't in some way want him to do....

Though it wasn't helping him at all trying to think of those things. He coughed a little, trying to give himself some time to think.]

O-of course. I know that.

Then relax. You are getting worked up over nothing. [that is, "nothing" as far as he can tell. but he simply gives takuto's shoulder a gentle squeeze and lets go, the contact obviously not helping the situation.]

[tauborn]

[He turns away with a slight huff. It's not fair that Kaworu is so... so unaffected by all this. It's just the two of them, alone in the dark in a boat in the Tunnel of Love, and it's not just nothing.

And then he freezes. Yako. If Yako found out, then...]

Kaworu! [His voice comes out kind of strangled as he turns back to his friend.] Yako's going to murder me!!

What? [yeah that was not what he was expecting to hear.] Why?

[tauborn]

I have to tell her that I ended up on this ride with you, and she'll... she'll--you know, think things!

[And it was only hours after their first date and everything had gone so well and he really didn't want her to get mad at him and end things. This must be karma for what happened with Chika....]

...What kind of things?

[actually why do you have to tell her anything. not that he has a problem with telling her anything but why is this a question of necessity...]

[tauborn]

That I--or that we--come on, I just explained what this ride is to you!!

[Don't make him say what he's thinking could happen!! He'll die of embarrassment before he has the chance to be truthful to Yako!]

What if she doesn't believe it was just coincidence! Or that people just shoved me into line before I could get away!

...What does that matter? And why would she not believe you?

[he is obviously missing something here.]

[Kaworu, you can't just say something like "what does that matter" and not expect Takuto to start entertaining the idea that you might be interested. But for now he'll be entertaining the idea of jumping out of the boat and swimming for shore because he'd rather not have to... own up... to a few things....]

...Because I might kind of have a really bad track record where this sort of thing is concerned...?

What, rides of this sort? Why should that matter to her?

[maybe if one of you had bothered to mention that whole dating thing to him he would be able to put the pieces together faster than this. so yeah, this is your own fault bro.]

[tauborn]

No, not the ride! It's because I'm dating her! And fidelity is--it's not really my strong point, okay?

[Cue hanging his head in shame.]

Oh.

[that's all he says for a moment, because really, he had no idea. and the idea that infidelity is also a concern is a bit of a surprise as well.]

...I was not aware.

[tauborn]

Well... now you are.

[And he's not going to look at Kaworu because... he just accidentally implied he could possibly see himself cheating on Yako with him.]

[he didn't really make that connection himself, by to be fair he doesn't associate himself with anything romantic or sexual, not really.]

Is that why you two seemed so awkward before? [oh wait, he was holding yako's hand that whole time, no wonder takuto was giving him such strange looks.]

A-awkward? You mean, me and Yako? W-when?

[He's pretty sure he knows when.]
