Characters: Sheena Fujibayashi, Yamazaki Sagaru, maybe the Bakurae
Location: Casualty Communal
Rating: G
Time: March 24, afternoon
Description: Sheena and Zaki gives a try to go out for a date.
Yamazaki ran out of his apartment with the still turned on communicator in one hand. He wasn't able to think of small things like locking the door or taking up more appealing clothes. Sheena waited for him in the very building he lived. she was here! And she was ready to go out with him! His heart sang a gloomy song of a soldier leaving his homeland en route to the war and death...It did not fit to the occasion but these kind of songs were Yamazaki's favorites. When he arrived at the third floor he stopped at Sheena's door, took a deep breath, and...took another deep breath...he raised up his hand...and tugged his messy hair...and then he knocked the door very quickly and turned away!

Don't lose me, Sheena. Never.
[ And with this he runs away to pay for all the cakes they bought.]
no subject
I'm here, Zaki.
[But before she can say anything else, he's off and running, leaving her to stare in wonder for a few moments before she finishes cleaning things up the best she can. When she's done, Sheena goes up to him and tries not to peer over his shoulder as he deals with the bill.]

Let's go! I liked to be here with you. We can come here every week, if you want to!
[His face basically can't be seen as his heroic smile widens. He'll find more job. He'll clean Casualty Communal.]

The leftovers, however, are immediately being taken into the back, so Zaki won't have to worry about them anymore, but Sheena will because he's spent so much money on her, and she's not worth it.
Returning his smile, she shakes her head.]
I like being with you, too, Zaki, but actually, how about next time, I make you something to eat? With chocolate and strawberries?
LOL icon
I...I'd like to. But let's forget about the chocolate. Strawberry is more than enough.
[As they leave the place he walks silently for a while, holding the girl's hand, thinking. He's not sure about how to ask Sheena about what he wants to ask...so he just asks.]
Sheena, when I'll learn how to be a normal person who can take the responsibility for what he does and gets more money, would you let me engage you?
:D She can be a flirter.
[She's quiet as they walk, enjoying both the company and the scenery--especially the company. However, she stops short in shock at his question. Did he just ask her to marry him?]
Zaki, before... Before I answer that, let me ask you something. What do you mean by normal?
The best flirter :D
[Someone who's not an idiot and doesn't fall for two person at the same time.]
Half the time she doesn't even know she's doing it.
Why do you think you're an idiot, Zaki? I've never thought you were.
Instinctive flirters are the best :D.
[Yamazaki always thought of himself as an idiot who came from an idiotic world since he arrived to Death City, and now he's honestly surprised there's someone who thinks he isn't. What1s more, it's Sheena, who, according to Zaki is the most normal person in the world. In every world.]
Why do you think I am not an idiot?
More like accidental. :D But that's Sheena!
[And she doesn't know what he considers normal, but somehow it probably isn't what she thinks it is.]
Zaki, it's normal for people to do silly or strange or as you put it--idiotic--things in their life. It's natural and all part of being human.
So, you're perfectly fine the way you are; there's no need to change at all, okay?
no subject
[Sheena just gave Yamazaki a lot of things to think over! Sheena says, he's normal and she's right because Sheena's always right. But if he's normal than there's no need to wait for asking for her! It's perfectly okay to ask for her right here and now!]
I see.
[They're on the street and all, but it doesn't really count. Yamazaki kneels down in front of Sheena and looks up at her.]
Sheena Fujibayashi, would you marry me?
no subject
And being with Zaki sure feels that way.
Although, she is totally unprepared for what he does next and can only stand there, looking at him with eyes wide and her mouth moving silently as she tries to say such a simple, one-syllable answer.]
Y- Y- Y-
[This is hard, okay?]
no subject
Are...are you feeling well? Sheena...if you don't want it...it's okay...I know I'm not a cool guy you'd deserve...
So is
Yamazakithe asphalt.]no subject
It's his comment that finally allows her to speak, but she's still not saying that word--not yet.]
I'm fine, Zaki, and so are you. And I want to.
Yes, Zaki, I'll marry you.
[Maybe she can help
with both.]no subject
Yamazaki is actually surprised that Sheena just said yes to him. Such an awesome girl...and she's his fiancee now...He does feel the butterflies in his stomach and the bones in his legs turn to lemon jelly, so he stays on his knees holding Sheena's hand.]
I...thank you. I am honored.
no subject
And her own legs are feeling a bit weak, so she leans against the wall for support, the smile she gives him both warm and happily derpy at the same time as she tugs on his hand.]
Zaki... Stand up. I want to give you something.
no subject
[Zaki stands ap and takes an uncertain look at Sheena.
You...didn't buy a ring for me, did you?
no subject
No... I didn't buy a ring for you. I just want to give you this:
[And she wraps her arms about his neck to pull him closer so she can capture his lips with hers.]
no subject
[Yamazaki didn't expect of this, so he stiffens for a moment before kisses Sheena back, shyly and confusedly. But he feel good - very good - and after the kiss he just says smartly]
Huh...
no subject
I love you, Yamazaki Sagaru.
no subject
Thank you.
no subject
Well, now he knows, so where's the hugging and spinning in circles? Not to mention putting the ring on her finger? :)]
You're welcome.
no subject
Would you like to go somewhere else, too?
[This looks harder than he thought...]
I love you, too. A lot.
no subject
Hmmm... How about a walk in the park? I haven't been there for a while.
[But it's worth it, isn't it?]
[She leans up and kisses his cheek before whispering in his ear.]
I know, and I'm sorry it took me so long to say it to you.
no subject
You...you'll look even beautiful in the park...that's what I think. It's like a forest or a field would fit you more than the city. because...cause you're like a flower. [Oh, no, what if Sheena would think Yamazaki just said she has as much brain as a potted vegetable?] A...a very smart flower.
[And as they're walking to the park he murmurs on a silent, ashamed voice.]
I...wanted to give a beautiful ring to you, but...I am poor. But don't worry, I'll find another job and one day when you don't even count on it I'll give it to you.
