Characters: Sheena Fujibayashi, Yamazaki Sagaru, maybe the Bakurae
Location: Casualty Communal
Rating: G
Time: March 24, afternoon
Description: Sheena and Zaki gives a try to go out for a date.
Yamazaki ran out of his apartment with the still turned on communicator in one hand. He wasn't able to think of small things like locking the door or taking up more appealing clothes. Sheena waited for him in the very building he lived. she was here! And she was ready to go out with him! His heart sang a gloomy song of a soldier leaving his homeland en route to the war and death...It did not fit to the occasion but these kind of songs were Yamazaki's favorites. When he arrived at the third floor he stopped at Sheena's door, took a deep breath, and...took another deep breath...he raised up his hand...and tugged his messy hair...and then he knocked the door very quickly and turned away!

How do you mean you can handle it? How do you know? Were you...? Did someone...? Who...?
[ WHO? ]
no subject
Zaki, my Grandpa taught me how to fight--and I've put those skills to use in battle. That's how I know I can handle it.
[Not to mention all that practice with smacking Zelos in the head.]

[Zaki doesn't want to sound too reproachful. It's not Sheena's fault that he misunderstood her. But now he's high on adrenaline and wants to hurt someone who caused harm -any kind of harm- to Sheena.]

[Zaki gently pulls a bang of Sheena's hair.]
...or even when I am there.
no subject
Well, they can try, but, if I were you, I'd be more worried about them if they do...
...and I somehow get the feeling you wouldn't give anyone the chance to do so when you are here.
[Said softly and lovingly--despite her feelings of not wanting to be the damsel in distress.]
no subject
No, they can't try it. It's not allowed to take a bad look at you, or I...I'll object. Yes. I would not give a chance to anyone to do anything bad to you.
[And awful scenes like Ryuzaki vs. Yamazaki would happen again. No one needs it, so t's better if all the ill minded womanizers stay away from Sheena!]
no subject
[Sheena looks at him, concerned.]
Zaki, you can't get angry at someone just for looking at me the wrong way! They just might not like what I'm wearing or how I wear my hair, or that I carry a weapon. Besides, strange looks don't really bother me too much...
...unless they make a stupid comment at the same time.
[Or if she knows the person and can tell what the look is saying.]
no subject
But they don't have the right to judge you, or anyone else just because you, or anyone else is wearing dark clothes, carries a weapon and so on. What kind of thinking it is? Judging someone right after the first sight...and making stupid comments is very impolite. Unless they can't do anything but stupid comments.
no subject
No, they have the right to their opinion. Just because they don't like what I'm wearing doesn't mean they don't like me. It's possible they're thinking it wouldn't look right on them.
[She pauses.]
But, if they make a comment about say, my intelligence, based on that, then yes, I'd get angry.
You can't assume something about a person by how they look, Zaki. It works both ways.
no subject
Yes, everyone has the right to have their opinion and it's okay to tell it if it doesn't sound like an insult. Like, um, I think that letting your hair floating freely around your shoulders would make you even prettier than you are now, if it's possible. But even if I am right, telling something like: "Do something to your hair, you look like a walking eggplant, I'm all embarrassed when we're together in public!" would be rude and it's better if I said nothing. Don't you think so?
[And anything who would tell something about Sheena's intelligence is a walking eggplant!]
no subject
That's exactly what I mean! You can tell someone you disagree with them without sounding rude or insulting. And the response will be a lot better, and the advice might actually be taken. The trick, like you showed, is knowing when to do it, and how to do it.
[So missing the fact that he may have put a real compliment in there for her. She can be so oblivious at times...
And woe to anyone who insults him in her presence--or if she even hears about it. She's a little protective herself.]
no subject
Right, right...even a walking eggplant has the right not to be insulted. I'm sorry for this...
[And if Sheena is oblivious, Zaki will help her with freeing the girl's hair with some clutzy moves.]
...I so wanted to see your hair. Are you angry?
[One of Sheena's most attractive personal traits is her protectiveness.
no subject
Zaki...
[Her tone is slightly reproachful at first before it becomes confused.]
What are you sorry for?
[...Oh...]
You really meant that about my hair.
[She's not mad, just surprised, and it shows in her blush.]
no subject
well...I'm sorry. Again. I just couldn't resist. And I was not serious when I talked about the eggplants. But you're really stunning now...
[it's hard for him to speak because Sheena is beautiful now. And always.
no subject
No, don't apologize--about the hair that is... No one's ever told me my hair looked good like this. Besides, it's always been easier to wear it up.
[And she's blushing furiously right now.]
no subject
It looks very, very good. And it's not like an eggplant, at all.
[Zaki tugs Sheena's hair and leans closer to the girl with a serious look in his eyes...then he lets her and steps back. He seems confused an a bit ashamed as he gasps for breath.
Are you okay?
no subject
Th-Thanks. [Although, she might argue the color similarity one day as a joke, but right now, there's nothing joking in her gaze as she meets his serious one with her own.
She's also having trouble breathing when he steps back, but hopefully covers it with confusion.]
Yeah, I'm fine. Why?
no subject
No, you...don't have to thank anything. It's yours. Your beauty.
[with all the confusion in the air there's no way Yamazaki could notice Sheena's condition.]
Don't ask. It's...a man's problem.
no subject
Yes, I do have to thank you. If I didn't, how would you know I liked what you said? [Other than that raging blush she's got going on her cheeks, that is.]
A man's problem? [Yes, that sent her alarm into overdrive.]
Are you all right?
no subject
I just know. When you hear something you don't like you...you're just so...storm-colored. Not for real, you're not dark blue or anything, it1s more like a feeling...
[Blue would not suit to Sheena's hair color anyways. Blushing makes her farmore pretty and cute.]
Yes, I'm ok, actually I feel to well, to be honest.
[No, he won't admit it. Never.]
no subject
That may be true. [She chuckles.] But sometimes it's nice to hear the good things, isn't it?
[She'll argue that whole "cute" thing with you, Zaki. She doesn't think she is.]
You feel...too well? What do-- OH!
[Suddenly, everything clicks, and she blushes even harder, giving him some more cute.
And he doesn't have to admit to anything.]
