Description: Sheena and Zaki gives a try to go out for a date.

Yamazaki ran out of his apartment with the still turned on communicator in one hand. He wasn't able to think of small things like locking the door or taking up more appealing clothes. Sheena waited for him in the very building he lived. she was here! And she was ready to go out with him! His heart sang a gloomy song of a soldier leaving his homeland en route to the war and death...It did not fit to the occasion but these kind of songs were Yamazaki's favorites. When he arrived at the third floor he stopped at Sheena's door, took a deep breath, and...took another deep breath...he raised up his hand...and tugged his messy hair...and then he knocked the door very quickly and turned away!

[Sheena's silent as she takes this in.]

I...see. Maybe we can come up with something that'll work by then, and still keep your promise at the same time.

[Or have a girl.]

[Yamazaki knows he should not do this, but it was an emergency.]

We can give him five given names and last of them would be Keroro...

[Or have a girl. Like they could decide about it.]

That's actually kind of close to what we do in my village.

All of us have one public name and one private name.

We even have two brothers whose public names mean "snake" in the old language.

Really? And how did you say it in that old language? Would you like if we call the kid "snake" if he'll be a boy? Or do you have any other name in mind?

[Maybe Yamazaki won't be the best father in the world but he's one of the most zealous Dads in every existing world. Now the only thing they'd need is an actual child...]

And Keroro would be his very, very private and secret name.

Well, there was one named "Orochi" and the other "Kuchinawa". Both of them mean snake. We can always ask what Keroro's name means and see if there's a word in the old language for it.

[She's familiar with naming someone after another person, and she likes Keroro...]

Maybe a shortened form of it?

I really don't know if "Sheena" means anything because Grandpa never told me and I can't find it anywhere. For all I know, it could have been a sound he heard when he found me.

[Uh-oh. She kind of likes Kery...]

No, we're not in any hurry, but at least we know we can keep your promise.

Oh. A sound your Grandpa heard...Do you know what I think of? Your parents were close to you and waited for someone to come and find you. They were worried for you so much that they couldn't just let you alone until your Grandpa came. And then your mother whispered your name as a farewell...Yes, I seriously believe so.

[Kery? It's fine as well, the most important thing is health, anyways!]

Yes. It's good I have someone who takes care of my promises...Yes, I'm really lucky. And you?

[He's really like to know if Sheena feels lucky.]

[He's so sure that's what happened, that Sheena remains silent, not wanting to hurt him by telling him what he suggests is impossible, since she firmly believes Igaguri--goofy as he is--wouldn't have withheld that information from her.]

[Oh yes, a baby with healthy lungs--just like mom.]

You really don't need help keeping your promises, Zaki, you do fine on your own. [A pause and a blush.] And yes, I do feel lucky.

[Yamazaki doesn't know a thing about Igaguri, but it's far beyond his understanding why would let anyone in the woods such an awesome girl. It's just silly.]

[Yes, with healthy lungs. Zaki basically gave up on sleeping some time ago, so it's OK. He scratches the back of his head in confusion.]

Don't I? Well, I'll have to break some promises, that way I'll need you to be by my side and keep my promises. [He smiles at Sheena.]

[She's quiet a moment before wrapping her arms about him and laying her head to his shoulder.]

I wish I could think something like that, Zaki--I really do. But Grandpa wouldn't have kept that from me; I just know it. There's a lot about my world that makes me think something happened to them. [Or they knew about her powers and didn't want her drawing attention to them.]

No, you don't. [She chuckles.] Just make sure they aren't big promises, okay? Besides, I'll always help you when you need it.

[Yamazaki caresses Sheena1s back.]

Grandpas are usually deaf or they can't hear well, so maybe he thought it was the wind or a bird or something, but actually it was your Mom. Believe me. Your parents loved you and of course, lots of things happened to them, like to everyone. [Or they will evil, heartless monsters who just left their beautiful little daughter in the woods, and Yamazaki will never forget if this was what actually happened.]

Okay, let's see...I promise you I'll dance half-naked on the top of a table on our wedding. It's okay to break this promise, right? [He hopes it is!]

[Sighing contentedly, she continues resting her head on him.]

See, I call him Grandpa, but he's actually the man who raised me, and he wasn't that old when he found me. Besides, his hearing is pretty good--no matter what age. [She sighs again.]

I'd like to believe that my parents loved me and that they were hiding me to protect me, but... On my world, people who are half-elves are hated by both humans and elves--although Lloyd worked hard to try to stop it. But since I can summon, I must have elven blood in me.

And the last known Summoner was a half-elf.

So, I've always wondered if I did something as a baby that brought attention to them and they weren't hiding me, but getting rid of me instead.

[Years of being told she didn't belong really takes its toll on a person's mentality and emotions.]

Ehhh...? What? [She looks up at him with an impish gleam in her eyes.]

That might depend on which half is naked.

Why do you think o much of yourself being a half-elf? Or why did everyone else give a damn about who was a whole-elf or a half-elf or a dwarf or something? You look like a normal people and if you could do that summoning thing...well, couldn't they find a way to use it...usefully? They should've use their brain instead of hating each other and each others children...

[Yamazaki goes all grumpy...and than confused.]

I...i don't really know...my right side?

[She shakes her head.] I'm not a half-elf, only part, but anyone with any elven blood was looked down upon by both humans and elves. Humans because they don't like the idea that their own children can live longer than them, and elves because they felt humans were inferior to begin with.

Dwarfs, though, really weren't looked down on as much as humans, since they had certain skills that could be used.

[She smiles and looks up at him.]

I know some people who would really like your way of thinking, Zaki.

[She places her hand on his cheek and chuckles softly.]

It was a joke, Zaki, but I'll take the right side being half-naked.

And can't summoning be a useful thing? I...i can't tell I fully understand everything you say, but it's totally unkind disliking someone just because they different. If everyone would be exactly the same this world would be a very boring place.

[And he's very glad that Sheena is not exactly the same as some girls he knows.

He gently places his palm on Sheena's hand.]

I like your jokes, especially these flirty ones. For you I'd promise I'd dance wholly naked anywhere you tell me to do it.

Summoning can be very useful--especially for protecting people.

[Her expression is soft as she looks up at him for several seconds before kissing his cheek.]

I agree with you, but it takes a while to change a very old opinion. And some habits take even longer to break, but, hopefully, it'll happen.

[She smiles.]

I'm glad you like them. Although, I, uh, never thought I was very good at flirting. [She just tries to be honest, like now, when she blushes deeply, though smiles.]

Let's save that for when we're alone and the time's right, okay?

[It's a bit upsetting that Sheena lived in a world Yamazaki doesn't know a thing about...

...and being kissed by this girl still makes him blushing.]

Ugh, you, err, I think you're flirting unintentionally, and it's somehow very sweet...and attractive. And...duh [He hides his face into his arms] I was just kidding about that dance, unless you want it...

[She wraps her arms about him and holds him tight.]

I don't want you to do anything that'll make you uncomfortable. Okay?

Sheena, you never made me feel uncomfortable, never ever...or if you did something, it was not your fault I felt...errr...I would not say it was uncomfortable, it was like we bought that many cakes at Death by Pasty. It was silly but not uncomfortable.

Then, I never want you to feel silly--in a bad way, okay? Silly in a good way is fine, but if I ever make you feel bad in any way, you tell me, all right?

[Zaki waits for a few moments, he's not sure about how should he put in words what he wanted to say.]

I want to be honest to you.

[His choice of words concern her, and she looks up, that emotion evident in her expression.]

Zaki? What is it? What's wrong?
