Location: Training Ground, Shibusen
Rating: PG-13 for violence of the training sort
Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Friday, August 13th.

[Neji's often found wandering the field at random intervals during training, keeping an eye out for trouble, and any lost-looking new Guests. Have a question, or just up to some general shenanigans? Feel free to approach him, or he can come investigate you ;)]

[Typical training tasks finished just as well as if he hadn't been truant for a few days, Mondo makes his way to a shady spot off to the side of the training grounds to simply... lie down. And rest. And maybe think things over, or try and keep his mind off them. He's not sure, and honestly, Chihiro's disappearance has left him feeling completely lost. It's pretty lucky, he figures, that he's made some bonds strong enough to help him withstand it, but it doesn't really make his classmate's disappearance hurt any less. The fact that Chihiro didn't actually have a place to return to had been making him feel sick to his stomach ever since he walked in to the programmer's apartment to find it empty, and he hasn't been able to brush off the thought; is this what graduating from Monokuma's twisted school life would have left him feeling like?

He'd take the execution any day over this.]

[Even with his typical avoidant nature, Shinji has been even more distant from the happenings for morning training today than usual. So much so that he even wonders why he bothered coming in the first place. He knows he can't just shut himself off from everything, no matter how much he wants to (it would likely be a pointless effort considering his roommate, anyway), but being here wasn't really serving any purpose, was it?

He can be found around the less populated areas of the training field, looking very much like he's considering leaving in order to sulk in peace.]

[ Were there a couple boxes of donuts on that table a moment ago?

Now there's one less, right after this particular teenager drifted by. An entire box. Was that a sleight of hand? Yes, yes it was. Is he acting like anything he may or may not have just done is out of the ordinary? Absolutely not.

The chrome sort of—machine? bird, creature—thing (golem) trailing dutifully just above his shoulder seems rather blasé about it too. ]

♪ [ Now excuse them, they're going to find some shade. ]

[ Here and sporting a quiet sort of determination about him (and looking for familiar faces) is one white-haired teenager with an odd mark (scar?) on his face. No coat, half-comfortable in a sleeveless training uniform, seeming to have a left arm that's entirely tattooed a dark red or... something. (Naturally, he's wearing a pair of white gloves.)

If there's a bit of frustration about him—and he keeps his lips pressed together in that lightly determined sort of way so as not to be—it's for feeling spectacularly unaccomplished on this front so far. ]

[The ranges remain the same, but moving targets have been requested and added. Naoto observed until a student calls for her attention. Distances are still obviously maintained for the moving targets, but the speeds can be changed. Optimal to work with them...]

[Turning, she looked on the people here, watching and almost waiting.]

[She nods]

I did and I'm completely ready! I'm just a little nervous about finding a partner again.

[The name tag is rather useless when one stands at the size of a house cat. Still, Kyubey was relying on the curiosity of him being there to lure in potential Meisters to come and attempt resonating. Being within the city wasn't getting enough information fast enough, and apparently, he wasn't high enough to have access to the restricted information. Not that he couldn't slip up there, but not a good impression to make if he was under watchful eyes.]

[He turned his head left and right. Who would be first?]

[ Not so much taking a break—he didn't take any while physically training—Allen can be found near the end of training off by himself sitting with his back against a tree. Cooling off maybe—there's a bottle of water and the remains of what was a box of donuts earlier that morning by him with a half-eaten one balanced on his thigh—he has his head tipped back against the trunk with his legs stretched out in front of him. Quiet; eyes closed. Taking a deep breath like he's focusing.

And for a moment there's a flare of spiritual energy and a rubberband moment of resonance, a small one but the sort that's bright and white to anyone who could see that sort of thing—

—and then it snaps back and he winces a little at how fast it did.

Meister self-resonance. He couldn't not make it his main concern after learning he could.

The frustration of not being able to do it no matter how hard he tries is also a little irritatingly familiar. ]

Ch... [ Sod it—

He's going to ~~sulk~~ nurse his irritation with the remaining half-donut before he tries again and break off a small piece for the chrome golem sitting on his knee. ]

[This isn't a normal place for the small medic to be, but she's a Meister... and should try learning a little! But what kind of weapon should she try? The only thing she can think of is a knife because - well - she had to become really good avoiding cutting herself.]

[She couldn't find Chihiro and she didn't know how Mondo was taking his friend's disappearance. She remembered when talking to Chihiro, she wondered if she had been in heaven. Heaven... Rosalia had wondered that for a second herself, but in the Kishin Chamber with its oppressive air, she immediately thought otherwise.]

[Quietly, she approaches Mondo, hands behind her back. She doesn't really know how to help, but she'll try.]

Hey, Mondo...

[Genesis wasn't going on the investigation mission, but he was assured he had a bigger responsibility to the City while the other leaders were gone. Anyway, for now, he had to focus on helping people with weapons handling.]

[Karina was a partner-less Meister herself, but as someone who volunteered to help with finding others find a partner, she feels that it's better for her to try to help people find their best matches first before attending to her own wishes.]

Hi there. I'm Karina. I volunteered to help people find a good partner. Would you mind it if I asked you a few questions?

[Thankfully, there's someone who volunteered to help partner people up!]

Hi there. Looks like you could use some help finding a partner. Would you mind it if I helped you out?

[As Karina surveyed the different people who were looking for potential partners, she came upon the small creature who she met some days ago as part of the wave of newcomers.]

Kyubey! Are you looking for a partner today?

Hm?

[He pulls himself out of his own pool of thoughts to see the Roaslia's figure standing by him. While he's still frowning, a little of the tension in his shoulders seems to ease off - it's difficult staying completely angry with her around, mostly because he's certain it makes her uncomfortable. He doesn't get up from his spot on the grass, but he does offer the girl a greeting.]

Morning.

[Ah, so she wasn't in the business of finding someone? At least not just yet. Dang. But if she was offering to help, she might as well take her up on it, since there's no sense in being stubborn in an unfamiliar place.]

Kyoko Sakura.

Go ahead, what do you want to know? [She punctuates the question by taking another bite of the apple in her hand.]

All right, Kyoko... do you have friends back home? Can you tell me how they're like, in general?

[Ah? The help is new, when did that happen? Not that he cares too much, to be honest, but he supposes the offer would be pretty useful. A bit of his irritation seems to leave him, and he lightly rubs the back of his neck.]

Guess that'd help. [Might as well try, right? His tone is still pretty rough, but at least he's being mostly compliant.] What do you have in mind?

[ Sulking was good. Sulking was definitely something that Chika could agree with right now. She wasn't even sure why she had come to morning training in the first place. It wasn't like she was really in any state to find a partner anyway. And it wasn't like she had ever found her partners at morning training. It was other things that happened that led to it.

So eventually, she starts to wander off, and doesn't realize she's near Shinji until she sees him practically right in front of her. ]

Oh. Hi Ikari-san.

[ Chika's not someone who looks happy to be back in the "Finding a Partner" section of morning training. Her face is in a perpetual frown, which might be better than a scowl, but not by much. The 'Meister' name tag is still on display, at least when she's not in a position up against the wall where her arms end up covering it.

She honestly has no idea why she's even here. It's not like the this part of morning training had ever worked for her in the past anyway. Still, maybe she'll get luck and find someone that she'd be able to resonate with? ]

[ Despite how upset Chika was right now with, well, everything going on, she couldn't help but just stare at the tiny little cat-like thing that had a weapon name-tag on him. This was... weird, though not really all that unusual. Considering some of the other people/creatures that have showed up here.

But the good thing was that her curiosity was enough to actually coax her away from the edges of the area for a few moments, and she moves over to him and kneels down so she can get a better look at him. ]

Umm... hi there. I guess you're pretty new here, aren't you?

[ Chika hadn't even realized where she was until she heard Lee's voice, turning her head to look at his direction and realizing that oops, she had ended up at the Hug Brigade section of morning training.

She had never really understood why this place was here... but right now, she couldn't even be bothered to care about it, just staring at everyone a bit in confusion before she finally starts to speak. ]

Umm... hey Lee-san.

[ It might already be getting late into the summer, but it's still warm enough that you easily feel really hot whenever you start training. It's why even though Josuke did bring his usual jacket - who knows why he lugs it around even during summer, maybe he just likes his pins too much.. - but he's already long abandoned it, lying in the grass as he's training his punches by himself in his undershirt. But when he returns to the jacket to pick it up again when he's mostly done, he notices the pins have been taken off it.. and he can't just leave without those, they're practically a part of them!

At least he easily finds the culprits, a bunch of birds who are stealing shiny things and leaving them in their nests up in one of the trees.. so it might stand out that there's a dumb-looking guy with a pompadour trying to climb into one of the trees.

.. That branch he just tried to climb up made a bad creaking sound.. someone stop him before he injures himself already. Or ask him what the hell he's even doing. ]

[Takuto looks pumped today--he's going to head out to investigate stuff and he's helping everyone, and helping everyone makes him feel good. But there's been some rumors about new (old?) members joining the Watch, so he drops by the Watch area for a bit.

It's always good for a Deputy Zone Leader to have at least an idea of what's going on, anyway. And he's aware he's been a little out of it lately.]
