Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Friday, August 13th.

[Like finding a Weapon's ability, there is no magic miracle to this; just some good old-fashioned hard work will get you there.]

[ Here and sporting a quiet sort of determination about him (and looking for familiar faces) is one white-haired teenager with an odd mark (scar?) on his face. No coat, half-comfortable in a sleeveless training uniform, seeming to have a left arm that's entirely tattooed a dark red or... something. (Naturally, he's wearing a pair of white gloves.)

If there's a bit of frustration about him—and he keeps his lips pressed together in that lightly determined sort of way so as not to be—it's for feeling spectacularly unaccomplished on this front so far. ]

[There was Akiha, in a long red skirt, white tank top that unfortunately displayed the clawlike scarring on her forearms and her long hair pulled back in a ponytail, focusing her icy gaze on him. She'd been wondering if he or anyone else was going to show to training.

She was internally pleased that he had indeed come, but she wasn't going to show it.]

[ It's a bit of a relief to him to see her there, icy look or no. It takes a lot to rattle him. He's a frequent recipient of those. And he brightens a little at recognizing her, approaching with a light smile. ]

Good morning, miss Tohno. [ It's said with an easygoing—though anything but casual—sort of politeness. ]

[Politeness went a long way with Akiha.]

I'm going to assume you're here because you've decided you do need help discovering your own ability. So, tell me what all you've done on your own toward that end.

[Mello can count the number of times he's been to morning training on one hand, but his conversation with Akiha was enough to lure him out today. He has a mocha to serve as his breakfast, and he's half-idly trying to focus on people and see if he gets any sense of what they're going to do next. He's plenty confident in his abilities, but this is in the realm of the supernatural, and he doubts he'll get far without resonance.]

[Akiha raised an eyebrow when Mello showed up.]

And here I wasn't sure if you'd actually motivate yourself to show up considering I don't remember ever seeing you at training before.

I've already got a partner, and I try to spend as little time around idiots as possible.

So. How do we test my ability?

Must be hard to leave your residence then. [Akiha also thought most people were idiots.]

Your ability should not require resonance to use. Have you ever been walking somewhere and got a flash of something - instinct maybe - that warned you to stop or that someone was about to run into you or any other such things? Maybe something you easily passed off in arrogance of being natural because you find yourself to be extremely perceptive?

It is hard to leave my flat. [Completely deadpan, though he's actually joking. Partly.]

And I am far more perceptive than most; I was both born with it and trained to improve it. [Still, he considers her question, thinking back to see if anything, in retrospect, is something he couldn't have known merely by observing. It's the kind of thing you miss if you're not looking for it, and he hates to give the true answer, but he does.]

I don't know if I've experienced anything like that.

[Eve hadn't really come to this area before mostly because once she'd figured out what her Meister ability was it wasn't that hard to work on it on her own.

Her ability though, wasn't very useful she thinks. Mostly because it could only be used at the expense of hers and Keroro's resonance. It was, she thought, a good trump card to hold onto, but not very useful most of the time.

Which is why she'd liked to learn Soul Menace if she could.

She looked around, trying to spot the instructor for this area.]

[In a long black skirt, white tank top and her hair pulled up in a ponytail, the Akiha was easy to spot. Unfortunately, her manner of dress didn't hide the slight scaring on her arms. Normally, she would've hid it, but with as close to being a Three-Star as she was getting, it seemed pointless to deny the toll the war and her hard work has left upon her.

After all, in her opinion, a Meister without at least one scar wasn't trying hard enough. Or was absurdly good and therefore still someone she'd be bitchier to than usual.]

[Eve had gone with a sleeveless dress today because of the heat so it was pretty easy to see she, in fact, either didn't have scars or they were all somewhere that was covered. Which, given that the frill trim of the dress stopped a couple of inches above her knee seemed unlikely

Back home it was a by product of her increased healing rate, here it was because her ability allowed to to heal from wounds instantly. It was, to say the least, useful for after attacks on the city or missions abroad.

She walked over at a sedate pace when she spotted Akiha, stopping right in front of her.]

Good morning.

[Automatically, Akiha's gaze flickered over Eve's form before settling on the girl's eyes.]

Good Morning. You're the one that wanted to learn Soul Menace, correct?

Yes. [She meets Akiha's eyes steadily.]

I'm Eve.
