Description: Skiing! Hot chocolate! Snowball fights! Hiking! Folks of Death City say 'screw the heat' and decide to take a frosty vacation a few states away. COMMENCE MISCHIEF.



The discounted price came at a surprisingly good time. With the temperatures in Nevada climbing and no end in sight, it seems the owners of a Pacific Northwestern lodge took pity on the Meisters and Weapons of Shibusen and offered them a break from the heat. Despite it being July, the snow was still plentiful for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and innertubing! Dress warm, rent some gear or bring your own and have at it, they say!

From dawn to dusk, the mountain is lively on all sides, boarders and ski nuts to ski newbies enjoying a mid-week break while nature buffs take hikes over the trails on the greener side of the mountain, reachable by a short bus ride from the main lodge. Whether you're more into the powdery white or the vivid green, there's a spot for you to take a breather on Mount Hood.

Phew.. [ Letting out a sigh of relief at that. He thought he was looking like a total idiot in front of everyone here, but at least that's apparently not true.. ]

Don't scare me again like that! [ Although it was more the fault of his loserness than anything she did. ] I've gotta look at least a little cool if I'm gonna do this thing!

[ Let's face it, both of them probably have the worst idea of what's cool and what isn't. Nobody can keep up with their lameness when it comes to this.. ]

Aww! You're gonna make me blush! [ He does look a little sheepish as he says it, but at least not entirely flustered, and it earns her a pat on the back before he backs off a little again. ]

The real test is still coming up on the slope though!

Yeah, and this is one test I can't wait to get started on! You ready for it?

Wait-- right now?! [ HE HASN'T HAD TIME TO PREPARE YET. Not even time to look at other people and figure out how they're doing it.. what if he falls and ruins his hair..!!

But on the other hand, if she wants to.. well, he can hardly refuse her anything, for better or worse. So Josuke swallows thickly, forcing himself to man up. ]

.. Fine! That slope won't know what it's seen once Josuke motherfuckin' Higashikata goes down it..!!

Now that's what I'm talking about! This place ain't seen nothing yet! [Minako on the other hand is SO PUMPED FOR THIS smh.] Let's head over then.

.. Y.. yeah, let's go! [ Trying so hard to seem pumped for this too, but on the inside he's actually freaking out since oh god oh man, what if he makes a bad impression in front of someone he really cares for!! This just sounds like a bad idea all around but it's too late to even go back on it since before he realises it they're already both sitting in the ski lift together and he wiggles his feet a little anxiously.. ]

At the very least Minako is practically wiggling in ski lift too... Out of excitement jeez she's going to wriggle her way off the seat at this rate. Thankfully, if Minako notices that Josuke is about as subtle as a bright neon sign, she doesn't point it out.]

Yeah, I'd say so! It'd probably be hard to ski in any other kind of weather. [OKAY MAYBE JUST A LITTLE........ But that's when she remembers something.] You're not too cold, are you Josuke?

Huh? [ That's not exactly the question he expected all the same though, so he blinks a little at her since it caught him off guard. For a moment he thinks, but then he lightly shakes his head. ] Nah, not really.. well, maybe a lil bit, not like my clothes're made for this kinda weather.

[ He smiles at her though, his skiing concerns forgotten, if not just for a moment. ]

But I'm a tough guy, yeah? Some cold isn't gonna beat Josuke motherfuckin' Higashikata!

You should've gotten warmer clothes before we came here! [Never mind that Minako is hardly bundled up for the weather herself SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE GLOVES.] But I guess this works out in my favor...

[pulling out from.... somewhere..... (is it even safe to take shit out of your pocket on a ski lift WHO KNOWS THAT ISN'T THE POINT HERE) minako takes out a HANDY-DANDY scarf!! it's probably hot pink or neon green because jojo's can only wear funky ass colors, and hearts and peace signs have been knitted in on the ends.]

But wow that sure is convenient, a scarf out of nowhere that even seems to suit him since how many scarves out there actually have his dumb hearts and peace signs on them, right.. it's why he stares at it for a while in surprise. ]

Huh? Where did you even find that?! [ Not like those scarves are sold everywhere, he's sure. Or he would've bought one already probably.. ]

Oh, I knitted this myself. I figured that what with going on a trip to somewhere cold, it'd be a good chance to get back to knitting and make some stuff suited for the weather.

Of course I like it, you made it for me! [ Apparently that in itself is reason enough to like it. In fact, he smiles as he wraps it around his neck before glancing at her.. and then he wraps the rest of it around her neck as well. ]

There, now neither of us have to be cold!

[Blinking out of mild surprise at first, she wasn't expecting this...! But then she laughs lightly, looking down at the scarf before looking back at Josuke.]

It's going to be kind of hard to walk around once we get off this thing.

[ He echoes the laugh, especially at what she's saying. He's already imagining what it would look like, and sure, sure, even Josuke realises it would seem dorky as hell, but it's not like he minds it all that much. ]

We'll just have to do our best then. I'm not gonna leave you out in the cold by yourself, after all. [ WOAH SMOOTH AS HELL. Not that he realises it though, he can't be smooth when he tries.. ]

[2014: the year Josuke became SMOOTH. Even Minako's a little surprised, but she laughs and smiles like usual, her cheeks tinged pink not just from the cold this time.]

Alright, if you say so. Just don't blame me if we end up tumbling in the snow like this!

[ Wooing her over through smoothness he doesn't even realise himself, obviously. Instead he just laughs. ]

Hey, at least we'll be warm even if we're covered in snow. [ You know, since they're so close together like this.. or maybe he just means because of the scarf. (It's probably the latter.) ]

If we're really that warm, it almost sounds like we'd just end up melting the snow. [The snow doesn't stand a chance against combined body warmth + A SCARF!!!]

Damn, don't jinx it! We'd end up ruining the trip for everyone!

[ But despite his exaggerated reaction, he can't help but laugh at the idea as they're finally at the top of the hill and can get off the skilift. ]

[Minako puts a finger to her lips in a 'shh' motion despite not even pretending to whisper, following him off the lift.]

Hey, be quiet! Everyone knows that if you actually say it out loud, that's what makes the jink happen!

[ He's immediately clasping a hand in front of his mouth. Good job, Josuke, very.. dignified... he's totally not gullible at all, what do you mean. ]
