The discounted price came at a surprisingly good time. With the temperatures in Nevada climbing and no end in sight, it seems the owners of a Pacific Northwestern lodge took pity on the Meisters and Weapons of Shibusen and offered them a break from the heat. Despite it being July, the snow was still plentiful for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and innertubing! Dress warm, rent some gear or bring your own and have at it, they say!

From dawn to dusk, the mountain is lively on all sides, boarders and ski nuts to ski newbies enjoying a mid-week break while nature buffs take hikes over the trails on the greener side of the mountain, reachable by a short bus ride from the main lodge. Whether you're more into the powdery white or the vivid green, there's a spot for you to take a breather on Mount Hood.

Don't you get it, Josuke? It's already too late! Even if we make it off this mountain in one piece, the jinx will follow us wherever we go! [She puts her hands on her face, eyes widening in SHEER HORROR.] We're doomed.

[ Minako, you're seriously ruining him here. Especially since he's hanging onto every word she says and completely believing it since he's already gone too far in for the rational part of his brain to kick in and tell him that he should just back off already.. ]

[ Yeah, that's what fully breaks him. Since it doesn't seem like Minako is joking in the slightest and like hell he's just going to leave her lying on the snow since it's cold and all, so a moment later he's already moving to scoop her right up and hold her in his arms like a princess carry. Sure, it might look embarassing as hell to whoever might be watching but he's not going to let her get cold even if they jinxed the trip, okay, GOT TO PROTECT PEOPLE priorities kicking in. ]

The answer is no though as a smile suddenly flashes across her face, and she repeatedly pats Josuke on the shoulder to get his attention.]

No, wait, wait! I just remembered something that can break the curse!

All we have to do, [pointing to their snowboard and skis] is go down the mountain on these faster than it can keep up! It's perfect!

[ It's dumb how they're both taking this so seriously... they better never have kids because they would be the worst kids ever. ]

It'll be okay, don't worry! The important thing is that we go down fast enough. [Never mind that this is the first time she's used a snowboard too... And that by going down too fast they're opening up an actual can of dangers..........]

Sliding down her snowboard goggles from the top of her head to over her eyes (like this will actually magically protect her why this), she gives Josuke a thumbs up.] Let's do it!

Josuke moves to go down the hill as well, but he looks sort of unsteady on top of his pair of skis.. is this really going to be okay?! ]

Alright, alright, but catch up soon! [Except that she... doesn't know exactly how to stop either... So she says she'll stop but it's mostly a lot of awkward and silly-looking arm flailing since you can't exactly move your feet on a snowboard. At least she's slowing down?!?!]

[ Josuke stares at her and.. then she starts flapping her arms... is she really trying to slow down or is she just playing a prank on him? Not that Minako is necessarily cruel, but she sure does love joking around, so..

Since she's already falling down, and since he has no idea how to actually control these skis, he just heads straight for where she's lying and falls straight over her in turn. Argh..! [ Sure, he's used to worse beatings, but it's not like falling onto hard snow is any fun. And it's cold.

Josuke! [And... proceeds to see a snow-covered pompadour. Sorry, she was concerned, really! But that's definitely a sight to see, and she can't keep the smile out of her voice.] Are you okay?
