Rating: PG-13 for violence of the training sort
Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

What is a box out in the open but a piece of trash? That's what you have to be to your foe and when they turn to look the other way, you can get up and move again.

[tauborn]

[He considers this for a moment and then frowns.]

So how do I know when my foe is looking the other way if I'm hiding under a box?

[sneakthatshit]

Look out the hand holes. Or listen to their footsteps and know when they're walking away.

[Or have a Soliton Radar.]

[Some of his blond bangs poke through the hand holds when he attempts to peer through them. Stealth is really not a thing that comes naturally to him.]

What if someone tries to sit on the box?

[sneakthatshit]

If no one else is around, get up, hit them a few times, and drag their unconscious body to someplace hidden.

[tauborn]

[The box shuffles so the hand hold that Takuto is peering out of is facing Snake.]

This class is a lot different than what I imagined it would be.

...think fast, kid.

[Grabbing the box and tossing it off of him!]

[tauborn]

[He jumps to his feet and immediately goes into some kind of martial arts stance. Not that he knows much of any kind of martial arts, just that he's on the ready for an attack with his hands in front as if he might need to karate chop something. Nothing about the move is particularly graceful, though he is pretty quick.]

If I had a gun, what would you do just then?

[tauborn]

Um... knock it out of your hands?

[He knows firsthand that he can't outrun bullets.]

[sneakthatshit]

That's a good way to get yourself shot.

[He pulls out his pistol and takes the magazine out, unloading the bullets, then slides it back in.]

Hold this like you're going to shoot me.

[tauborn]

Okay. [He obediently takes the gun and levels it at Snake. If it looks like he knows what he's doing, it's because he does. He's spent a decent amount of time working with Naoto at the shooting range, after all.]

I'm going to show this to you once, and slowly.

If you're going for stealth, you can't have someone with a gun accidentally firing it off. So what you need to do is this.

[He reaches over to grab the gun as if to struggle with it but, instead, pulls back the action and presses a nub, making the gun partially fall apart in Takuto's hands.]

You get that? It's going to be different for every gun but at least it can't be fired now. Now your foe is in the worst possible situation and you have every advantage.

[tauborn]

[Takuto blinks at the partially dismantled gun in his hand. And then he turns a bright grin to Snake.]

That was awesome! I wanna try it! [He's more or less pushing the gun back into Snake's hands so he can try this cool maneuver and forever avoid getting shot (again).]

[sneakthatshit]

[Give him a second to put it back together. After he's done with that, he points it at Takuto.]</small. Alright, go.

now I want an excuse for him to use this in actual combat....

[He attempts the move, and although it's not as smooth as when Snake did it, after a moment he's got the gun cracked open.]

That's pretty useful. [He steps back, feeling pretty proud of himself. He learned a new skill!]

Before you start trying to use it, practice it. And learn how other guns are taken apart. Rifles, SMGs, pistols; make sure you know it all before you go showing off.

R-right. [He'll be annoying the heck out of Naoto next time he drops by the shooting range.]
