Morning Training Log

Location: Training Ground, Shibusen
Rating: PG-13 for violence of the training sort
Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

I'm not sure if I should ask what you mean by "weird"... [If the guy can cook that means it can't be Fuuka-levels of weird, right?!] If that's the case though, we should totally look up somewhere nice to eat here! Eating out's always fun.

Tell me about it, a student's budget can be pretty harsh. [She's thankful for being able to cash in on shit from Tartarus for money at least, but all of that usually goes straight towards equipment!!]

Believe me, that kinda weird is on an entirely different level! That guy had a Stand just like mine, except he used it to cook, so.. you can imagine how weird as shit the results were.

[ NO REALLY MINAKO THIS AIN'T NO MYSTERY FOOD X. It's worse.. ]

Using a Stand to cook... [Yeah no she can't really imagine it being anything good SCREAMS] I guess I'll pass on asking then.

Right, so then it's just about eating healthily in this place.. and I guess it might take some training for you too. Y'know, you make yourself more muscled if you train enough, right? Mine were sorta natural, but I'm sure you'll at least get a little more strength if you practice enough here at morning training.

[ He reaches up to scratch the back of his head, thinking. ] And I mean, I'll be right here to help you out no matter when! That's what partners are for.

Yeah, I'm going to have to change my diet if I want to build up muscle. Though I hope I don't get too buff or anything... [She doesn't want to become ripped or anything SCREAMS SHE'S NO BODY BUILDER.] But yeah don't worry, I'll be sure to come by for morning training often!

[Aww, Josuke! She can't help but smile at that; she really is glad to have someone so kind and reliable for a partner, not to mention a friend.] Hehe, thanks, Josuke. I really appreciate it. And hey, if you ever need help on something, I'd definitely be there to help you out too!

Hey, that's just what partners do!

[ His hand drops from his head, and instead he moves to wrap an arm around her shoulder. It's not.. too easy.. considering their height difference, but in the end it still works out, and he grins at her sideways after he manages. ]

I scratch your back, you scratch mine.. that sorta thing! [ A laugh. ] So I'll help make sure you don't get buff through the roof or whatever. You look plenty cute now, can't waste those good looks!

[looking up at josuke with a smile GOD YOU'RE A GIANT MAN but she doesn't mind at all]

Aww, thanks! I'll have to be okay if I have another person looking out for my cute looks, right?

Exactly, you know you can count on me! I'm not gonna let a single muscle ruin it! [ Why are they laughing over this they're so stupid.. ]

[shhh let them be dorks...]

Sounds like I'm in good hands! [And considering how they're standing right now, it's easy for Minako to give him a quick hug.] I know I'm just repeating myself now, but thanks, Josuke. I mean it.

[ A quick hug? Make that a bearhug. Sure, Josuke's a little embarassed by it at first, not like he gets hugged by cute girls all the time, but.. Minako's his partner. His friend. Then it's only natural, isn't it? And it's not like he was going to reject it either way. It's rather nice, he can't help but think that as he wraps his arms around her in return - her scent, the way her body fits inbetween his arms. He smiles, holding her tightly. ]

Hey, hey, guys live off praise, you know! So tell me it as much as you wanna say it!

[She's a little surprised by it turning into a bearhug, but it's not like she minds in the least. In fact, her smile widens just a bit more as she hugs him back, just as tight. It's comforting, knowing that there's someone she can trust and rely on so much here, a world where she initially knew no one. And if it feels nice, safe almost, to be in his arms like this? Well, that just goes to show how glad she is to be friends with him, right?]

Wait a sec, I can't give you praise that easily! If guys live off praise, then girls have to be a bit stingy with their compliments!

Huuuh?! You're seriously gonna do that to me, Minako?!

[ It's difficult to tell if his emotion is exaggerated for comic purposes or if it's just.. genuinely Josuke being Josuke, but he sure does look shocked when he pulls back a little, although he still doesn't fully let go of her. ]

[She has to stifle a laugh at his expression, don't be THAT shocked Josuke!!]

Of course! I can't just go around making exceptions, not even for friends!

Argh, i knew it, all girls are the saaame...!! You're all demons!

[ Okay, now he's exaggerating it on purpose. He's even letting go of her as if he's trying to get away from her.. wow what losers. ]

[She brings a hand up to cover her mouth as she pretends to laugh evilly too, this is getting sad.]

This is what you get for underestimating us girls! You can never let your guard down so easily around us!

[ Let's hope nobody is watching this since I mean really.... ]

Minako, t.. to think you'd do this to me.. I'm never gonna have another girl as my partner! [ please stop

PLEASE STOP... ]

Alas, it's too late for that! [Despite Josuke having backed away from her, she dramatically loops one of her arms around his. The fact that two people can be this dumb is almost a crime someone please stage an intervention!!!] What you didn't realize is that once you've partnered up with me, you're stuck for life! You won't be escaping that easily.

... What, really?! Am I stuck?!

[ He tries pulling his arm away from her own, an expression of sheer horror on his face, ladies and gentlemen!! Although once he pulls on it, the arm lets go easily (of course, Josuke has monster strength compared to her..) and he grins instead. ]

Heh, no way! Look how easily I can escape! [ God, this really is reaching horrible new depths.. but then a moment later he suddenly wraps his arms around her again, although this time it's not for a hug or anything, but instead he lifts her up with a grin. ] I think you're the one who's having more trouble here, huh?

Wha--[OH GOD SHE'S BEING LIFTED UP, she really wasn't expecting it so she actually lets out a small surprised yelp. Once the surprise passes though, she has to hold back a laugh so she can pretend to look mad instead THEY'RE TOO DUMB WHY.]

Maybe that's just what you think! Who knows, this might have been part of my master plan all along. [She puts her arms around Josuke's shoulders, grinning back.] See? Now you can't get away!

[ He happily laughs. Man, he can't even pretend to keep up some act anymore at this point, they're just being dumb.. who cares that they're in the middle of morning training or whatever, he's happy just.. being like this. Even if he's far away from home in some place he never even heard about before, as long as Minako's by his side, it's fine. She's too funny and kind to be moping around. ]

Nope, it was all my trap in the end.. I wanted it to end like this! [ Another laugh. Just with them sort of hugging and messing around, yes.. ]

To think I was foiled so easily... You're a tough opponent, Josuke Higashikata! [She can't help but laugh as well though, not even bothering to pretend to be "evil" anymore. Somehow it's just so... comfortable, laughing and joking with him like this. Sure this probably isn't really the time of place for it, but even being held by him like this is somehow nice as well. He's warm, he's kind, and--

He's still completely shirtless isn't he.

Suddenly she can feel her neck and cheeks flushing, and not just because of how warm Josuke is or how hot it is outside. Gosh they were... really close like this, weren't they? She'd barely have to lean forward to be right in his face. She idly wonders for a second how it must look to anyone passing by, what with him holing her and her arms around him and everything. She swallows, hoping she doesn't look weird or anything, because then she'd feel even dumber for suddenly feeling awkward.]

S-So, we've trained pretty hard this morning, don't you think? Why don't we grab a bite to eat or something? I have to say, I'm pretty hungry now.

[ mfw Josuke is oblivious to all of this.. he's just grinning happily like he's having the time of his life here, but he's probably either forgotten about his shirtless state or just think it's not that weird since it's morning training at all, so even in her awkwardness - he doesn't even really seem to notice it in the middle of his own mood - he just smiles, slowly putting her down again and letting go of her. Oh, right-- he moves to grab his clothes from where he put them up, putting on his shirt at least even if the jacket's too hot for now. ]

Sure, sure! You saying it's your treat since you offered? [ Grin. Josuke, are you kidding or aren't you... ]

[JOSUKE WHY.... on the other hand it's slightly less embarrassing seeing as how he hasn't seemed to notice her slight change in behavior. Her heartbeat's calming down thankfully, and she feels a little better now that she's just standing around by herself. Jeez though, what was that all about? It's not like she liked him like that or anything, right?

... well, she could think about that later. For now, she IS hungry after all.]

Haha, sure, I don't mind! It'll be on me this time. [WASN'T IT ALREADY YOUR TREAT BEFORE MINAKO?! Not that she even minds at all smh.]

[ Any good guy would offer to pay at this point.. buuuut Josuke is not always entirely great when it comes to matters of money, so he doesn't exactly protest. ONE DAY HE WILL BUY IT...

But for now he just grins at her. ]

Let's go then, I'm starving after all that training!

[ And so they went off to eat lunch together

and Minako was sexually frustrated for the rest of the week.... ]
