Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

[Hamel shrugs a little. Amazingly so far no one has burned him or been too heavy (well Nanami had been kinda heavy when they started but they figured it out). He'd only tried out two people though. It's still a miracle that none of that has happend. In Hamel's mind he thinks it's because he's awesome and he's not even remotely worried. Hamel is kind of an 'in the moment' guy.]

[Hamel's ears perk.]

You'd give me the cash?

[His whole attitude seems to shift from sullen annoyance to cheerful and polite in a fraction of a second.]

Well! I'd be happy to let you work with me!

[He noted the change in attitude right away, and it caused him to tilt his head a little as he considered the other man. Of course someone would be nicer when they thought they were getting something worthwhile out of it.

He glanced at Sephiroth, noting his partner's silence and aware of the older man's feeling on the matter. His fingers smoothed along the long blade to placate his Weapon.]

Heh, I believe you're mistaken. I'm helping you. When you get yourself a partner, contact me, and we can see about you getting a little extra in your pockets, alright?

[Hamel doesn't really listen or care, the important part is the money.]

Right, whatever, I'll let you know!

[It was good to know Mr. Personality hadn't been a total waste of his time. And now that he had prospects of serious cash he turned to double his intent perusal of weapon choices. Hopefully not everyone was a fucking sword.]

[What a strange little man, Cloud thought as the other ran off. He wondered if he'd ever know that guy's name. He supposed that it didn't matter; he had enough recognizable qualities after all.

He glanced back to his silent partner, turning to face the man, his fingers playing up the length of the blade.]

I can't leave you alone for a minute without you attracting young Meisters desperate for your attention.

[Sephiroth had remained silent in the background while the pair conversed. There was a frown marring his features as the conversation had continued, and he couldn't say that he was too pleased with the results. He wouldn't admit that he was rarely pleased with anything though.

When the attention shifted back to him, Sephiroth tried to ignore the way that those fingers ran along the length of his bladed form while he watched the blonde closely.]

I don't believe that I've ever seen you openly state that somebody couldn't wield me.

[And yes, he was ignoring your pointed statement...]

[Sephiroth's displeasure was obvious to him, but then again, there were few things in this world that his partner approved of. He could see that taking in strays and new people to help them fight was not something the older man wanted to be apart of... but would reluctantly.

He raised his eyebrows at the statement, his fingers playing over the blade, feeling the etching that created feather's on the blade.]

I didn't think he could. I was saving him humiliation. Plus... your soul is too strong for anyone but me. Isn't that how you want it?

[That last part had his lips quirking up into a satisfied smirk at that comment. Walking forward a few steps, the blade of his Masamune slipping between Cloud's welcomed hold, he came to stand before his Meister as he peered down.]

Aa, so that's all it was about. [Tilting his head to one side subtly, as if considering the possibility that was all Cloud meant, Sephiroth found himself smirking soon afterwards.] I wouldn't even allow Death the Kid to wield me, let alone that foolish child.

[Cloud eased his grip on the blade as Sephiroth moved forward, and he looked up into the older man's sharp features. While his words might have not given full meaning, he knew the link did and only Sephiroth would know he intended the silver-haired man for himself alone.]

You should expect no less from me. I've wielded you since the day we became partners after you threatened everyone, remember? [The smirk caused him to pat the blade affectionately in return.] So you are mine then. At least we're agreed. [He was teasing, casting a wink to the older man.]

[The smirk that formed on his lips was enough to inform his partner that he had understood the hidden meaning, and it was something that caused a pleasurable shiver to run through him.]

How could I forget? [He stated more than asked. The affectionate attention was welcome, along with those words that slipped by Cloud's lips.] And here I thought I was the possessive one. [A chuckle followed. Sephiroth was far from displeased by that admittance. He liked the thought behind the words.] Perhaps I should walk you to your shift with the Watch to grant me the opportunity to remind you of just why only you will ever wield me?

Yes, that was a day I'm sure you enjoy thinking about. [He remembered his dislike for the whole thing, but he knew that Sephiroth had to earn him as a Meister. And the older man had put forth every effort to keep him, and something had happened to turn the tables on their old hate.]

You are the possessive one. You storm over with blades out if you even think someone might threaten me. [Which should have been disturbing but wasn't, as he knew Sephiroth's antics by now. He reached up and rubbed at his silvery hair, raising an eyebrow at the older man in front of him.] Morning training is still in session, you know. I do have to use the facilities though; you're welcome to walk me there....

[That arrogant glint in his gaze was more than enough of an answer to that. What hate he had felt for the swordsman in front of him had melted away long ago in his mind and none remained.]

Something I would never deny. [Sephiroth knew that he was possessive of anything that he considered his, and Cloud was undoubtedly just that as he smirked at the way that slender brow rose up at him. He wanted to challenge Cloud's talk of Morning Training still being on, but it appeared that he didn't have to. Retracting the blade back into his body, he gave a partial mock-bow before gesturing for his partner to begin moving.] Then we had best be on our way.

You are one of a kind. [His smirk was paired with the shake of his head, though he was pleased despite his intended 'exasperation'. He narrowed his eyes at the bow, thrusting his hand against the older man's shoulder before he about-faced and marched off towards the facilities nearby.] Come along then.
