Description: Another small BREW hiccup results in another "round" of unexpected newcomers into the city.

Just like last time, a very small group of individuals has appeared within Death City, and just like last time, no one even knew about it. Fortunately things have been relatively calm these past few days and it's an especially warm day today, so at least any impromptu help and touring should go smoothly.

[ooc: Just like last time, this is a consolidated log for the volunteer intro buddy system. Either the new character or the volunteer can start the thread. For each thread, indicate the character names in the subject line. Whether or not another character is pulled in is up to the players, BUT the threads are closed to the initial partnered characters (hence the "semi-closed" label.

The new characters are also free to start a thread with one another if they so wish.]

[Serph nearly walks away the moment Bakura says he hasn't seen her, but he's at least polite enough to stop and listen to the other questions.

Slowly, he shakes his head. No to both, though she should have and she should be.]

You can ask over the mirror, if anyone's seen... since I don't know everyone, she might have arrived before and be here! And that'd be the best way to ask... Just to be sure.

[Bakura will receive nothing but a confused look for that.

[[The blank look only confirmed Bakura's suspicion that this person had just arrived. What was BREW up to now, not giving any warning when it was bringing in new people...?]]

You should have gotten one in the chamber, it looks like... [[he reached into his pocket to pull out the hand held device]] Like this? It's what everyone uses to talk to everyone else!

[Serph tilts his head, then begins patting any pockets he has on him, trying to find the device in question.

In demon form, he would store items in... more unusual ways. Shifting doesn't become necessary, however, as he finds the mirror in a side pocket. He holds it up for Bakura to see, making sure it's the correct one.]

Un, that's it! [[smiles warmly.]] Need help figuring out how to use it?

It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it! This here lets you post a message to the network, you can set it to be either just text, voice or voice and video, this here lets you make it private to someone, though that's not always reliable, since some people have ways around it. [[Or at least around his. Sigh.]] You can look though everyone's posts here, like this-- and to reply to someone you hit this over here.

[Serph nods again, then begins messing with the controls himself - not actually posting anything, but testing it out.]

Aaa-- there's also the SOS button, but that's only for emergencies. It can send out the call when you're too hurt or rushed to and everyone gets it. I haven't had to use it yet myself, thankfully! But a few people have. Sends everyone into a panic at first!

[That could also be a useful feature. He nods again, wondering if Sera might use that feature herself to let them know she was in trouble.]

It's no trouble! You just arrived, right? So if there's anything else you need help with or just want to ask, feel free! Normally BREW gives us some warning so there's a welcoming comity and a tour and everything, but it's been a little strange the past month or so...

Aaaa-- it's sort of a complicated story, but basically an important person here made an unconscious wish to win the war against the witches that are trying to destroy everything and BREW's trying to answer it by bringing people from all sorts of worlds here.

["An important person here made an unconscious wish" sounded a lot like Sera to him. Very familiar circumstances, at least in the way it's phrased.

It couldn't be Sera, though. Not if this boy didn't recognize her description.]

Unfortunately I don't think BREW understands connections between people... There's a lot of people that it brings without the people they care closely about... Though really, since there's a war going on here, it's likely for the best that it doesn't, for some.
