Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on March 29th.

Aaa-- sort of! There's 10 sides, right? So when the die rolls, it lands on one of those sides. I can pick which one, or mostly which mode, since 0 and 1 are both Holy, but 0 is stronger than 1. 6 and 7 I haven't figured out yet... I know it's not a fumble, since 8 and 9 are that, and something is happening, I just don't know how to direct it to tell what it does yet.

[That... sounds a lot more complicated than he first imagined. But he's learning lots. Not that he understands what "Holy" is, or what Bakura means by a "fumble."]

How do you manage to keep resonating when you're being rolled?

There's a thread that stays attached, like a bungee, almost! Keeps me connected and allows me to bounce back up to someone's hand after. It's really convenient!

[[He closes his eyes, form starting to glow before changing. Seconds later, a small white d10 lands in Takuto's hopefully waiting palm. The surface of the plastic seems either as if it's on the verge of cracking, or like it was painstakingly reassembled after shattering, giving it a bit of a fragile appearance. A thin red string trailed off from it, waving back and forth]]

[Takuto quickly did as Bakura asked, a sudden jolt of anxiety running through him as Bakura landed in his palm.

He's... surprisingly tempted to drop the weapon on the spot and run away. He could apologize later. But... he won't. He's Takuto Tsunashi, Tauburn's driver and the Galactic Pretty Boy.]

[He could do this. He takes a deep breath, gathering up his wavelength in preparation.]

[[The thread very gently, but firmly attached to Takuto's palm, bringing with it the unmistakable presence of Bakura with it; gentle, warm, accommodating and eager to please. It was a supporting presence, one that would shift to be what was wanted and needed as best as it could.]]

[Takuto's hand closes around Bakura. He's... as prepared as he will ever be. The last person he tried to resonate with was Ryuzaki, and before that he'd pretty much had Aion glued to his hand.

He overdoes it, though, his determination to get over the loss of his partner threading through his wavelength and making it slam into Bakura's gentle soul like a tidal wave. His soul is permeated by an overwhelming desire to start shining again.]

[[It was an uncomfortably familiar feeling as Bakura clung to his sense of self to try and stay afloat under the flood of emotions without breaking the connection.]]

Takuto-kun...! You're forcing it too hard...! Just relax...!

[He winces a little, aware of the problem. He reins his wavelength back awkwardly, putting some distance between his soul and Bakura's, trying to find some sense of balance without the familiar presence of Aion's wavelength supporting his own. In comparison, Bakura's feels small and almost frail.

He takes a deep breath and tries to relax. He's not going to think about Aion and how hard it is to resonate with someone else. His determination to do this is still strong, but after Bakura's slight rebuke, he tinted with more than a little hesitancy.]

...Better?

Un... [[He tries to adjust to his friend best he can. He's not Aion-- not even close, but he ties to fill as much of that void as he can, expanding out to fill the space that Takuto had pulled back.]]

It's pretty hard at first, isn't it? Figuring how to fit together with someone.

I'm sorry. I'm not good at it at all.

[The ocean really is a good metaphor for his style of resonance. Trying to get closer to Bakura is like crashing into the sand, and he's constantly receding, pulling back and then remembering to push forward.

But he's relaxing a little. There's something soothing about the even pressure of Bakura's welcoming soul. He may not be Aion, but he's still familiar.]

Don't worry about it. It just takes practice, right? You aren't doing badly. Just trying to hard. [[Bakura's voice is encouraging]] Takuto-kun... you never do anything in halves, ne?

Well it doesn't make sense to try less if things aren't going well.

[On one hand, he gets what Bakura is trying to say. But on the other hand, he has a point to prove to himself and he's not going to let this resonance attempt peter out into nothing. He closes his eyes and inhales.

There's an empty pause, much like an empty beach just after an earthquake.

And then there's Takuto, his wavelength crashing around Bakura's and sweeping it up in a radiant cascade of energy, whispering under his breath with growing enthusiasm.]

When what you want to do... is what you ought to do.... Keep up, Bakura!

[[One could not inaccurately compare Bakura to a reed when it came to force being applied. He would bend to the point of nearly touching the ground under it, but still remain unbroken, even if a bit flattened.

Takuto's energy almost did flatten him as he wasn't sure how to accept or channel it at first. In truth, he was still rather worn out from the mission two days ago, the intensity of his doppelganger's emotions having burned through him like raw fire when his own energy had given out had left him mentally sore, something that he was slow to recover from like a repeated injury.

It takes him a moment of being buffeted before he finally catches his feet, figuring out how to let the wave lift him up instead of beat him down. It's exhilarating, if a bit exhausting in his slightly worn down state. Bakura had never been the type to surf before and figuring it out by having the ocean flung at him was a hard way to learn. But he thinks he's managing it...]]

also I probably should have warned you about water metaphors. :\

[For some reason, it's a lot easier to channel his energy around when it's on full blast. There's a growing grin on his face as he tries to, in some weird metaphorical sense, lift Bakura up beside him rather than tumble relentlessly through him. His wavelength is still uneven, but it's a lot more stable than it was before.

Also, there's a clear sense that Takuto is actually having fun. He opens his eyes and slowly opens his fingers, looking down at the d10 in his palm with a smile.]

Un! [[Bakura's 'voice' is cheerful as ever, even as he's wobbling a little in his balancing act.]] It's pretty different than I'm use to! But I think I'm getting the hang of it!

[[He just had to think of it like a game. And he could do that easily!]]

[He lifts Bakura up in front of his face, inspecting the cracked surface of the die and the 10 numbers on its surfaces. It certainly was an unusual form.]

So, how do I use you? [There's a ripple of amusement there because he has this feeling that the answer is to throw Bakura to the ground. Which is kind of unfair, but also rather funny.]

[[Unusual, but incredibly symbolic in ways Bakura didn't often (if ever) explain.]]

Just roll like with any other die! It doesn't even have to be a big roll, just enough so I can make the right number come up!

[Well, if anyone is good at understanding symbolism, it's Takuto. In fact, he often confuses metaphors and reality. Often, they're the same thing, though.

His wavelength humming along brightly, he crouches down to the ground. He's not rude enough to throw him from full height on the first go, probably because he already nearly drowned the other boy in his wavelength. He gives the die a light, experimental toss and watches and waits with total attention and curiosity.]
