Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on March 14th.

[He should pick up her wry humor with that comment since she's being facetious. There's quite a bit of mental training that goes along with physical fighting, and they both know it.

She feels something, not exactly resistance, and she can't help picturing herself poking at it a little--like prodding him in the shoulder...]

*Auron made a few passes of the Weapon, lifting it up and cracking it across where an enemy likely would be. Trying to figure out what was going to hit his imaginary targets was proving to be a challenge.*

Sorry about that. [She waits as he gets used to swinging the Weapon. She can feel his curiosity and she takes a stab at what he's thinking.]

The knot at the end should cause the most damage.

Must be all the force is concentrated at the end. *With that info in mind, Auron practiced more on flailing the Weapon and snapping the end, right by the knot.*

I wouldn't want to be hit by this.

That's right. It can also be a weight to help wrap around something.

[She falls silent as he practices, trying not to think about any possible elemental connections those colors in the whip may have.]

I don't think anyone would. I know I wouldn't.

So you'd use it to wrap around someone's arm or leg and yank them off their feet? *Can't really try that with anyone, but he's beginning to see more practical applications of the Weapon the longer he uses it.*

[With a normal whip, you can also wrap around a weapon--like a sword--but she'd rather not try that one, thanks. The chance of being injured is too high. She's also unsure about wrapping around someone's neck; it's a great way to subdue a person, but it's a horrible way to die.]

*Auron gives a crack of the Weapon to a practice dummy...and totally misses.*

I'm not much of a throwing weapon kind of guy. *So he swings...and another miss.*

Okay. Try this: Try pointing your hand at the dummy, and just flick the whip towards that point. Don't try to crack it.

*Because this is exactly what you wouldn't do with a sword, it takes Auron a number of tries before he's marginally successful.*

Hunh. You're probably going to need someone better than I am to wield you properly.

[She knows this, but she has faith in him and isn't disappointed.]

Auron, you're doing fine. Were you able to use a sword properly the first day you picked it up?

It stands there when you hit it with a sword or punch it, too.
