Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on March 14th.

[Akiha didn't like having to ask for help, but she couldn't figure out what this supposed special meister thing was for her. She was used to having powers and had originally thought she'd discover hers if she went through all the mental steps needed for her demon ability.

It didn't work, so it was with a scowl on her face that she approached Edgeworth.]

Excuse me... I would like some assistance, please.

[He looks up.]

[Well, obviously, but some people would approach him for other things.]

Edgeworth is also tsundere so these two should get along.

I'm not sure how to go about accessing it. I've tried willing it to work, but I'm not even sure what it is I'm willing.

[prosecutory]

I see. [He nods.] It's difficult for many to discover their abilities, but they are usually hinged upon the skills and strengths we already have, or the powers you had back in your world, if any.

For example, my ability allows me to convince others to believe in or do what I command. It most likely springs from my speaking experience, as I am a prosecuting attorney.

[ritsu_kouyou]

[Akiha is silent for a moment. She can't talk about what her natural abilities BREW took away are. She can't; it was too dangerous to bring attention to what she is.]

And how did you know that would work?

It was mostly by accident, when I faced certain danger. I felt a strange sort of power within me, expressed in the words I spoke.

[It was only after THAT when he realized how closely tied his ability was to...well, what he could already do.]

...I tried that already.

[The problem was, her ability at home was sight-based and her current one was touch-based. She hadn't even considered that.]

In battle?

[Danger usually meant a combat scenario.]

[ritsu_kouyou]

Not real battle. [She'd tried using it while arguing with her partner.]

...a sparring match, then?

[THE ONLY ABILITY YOU CAN DISCOVER OUT OF THAT IS SOUL TALK.]

[She looks Edgeworth over. Well, he looks sturdy enough.]

I suppose that is acceptable.

I meant to ask if you had tried a sparring match...but yes, you may spar with me to see if your ability will manifest then.

[He's more than sturdy, he trains, at least!]

No, I have not tried that yet. Is that the best means to find out?

[prosecutory]

Sometimes, an ability is triggered when the Meister is in danger, as a defense mechanism; that was what happened to me. Sparring simulates a situation of danger, so it is a possibility.

I wouldn't call it the best means since there is no prime method to discover one's ability, as far as I am concerned.

[ritsu_kouyou]

[She sighs]

Can't they just use whatever machine they did to look at our souls and say if we're a Meister or Weapon and tell us what our abilities are.

[prosecutory]

That...is a good question.

[He should probably ask Shibusen why the machines only tell guests if they were Meisters or Weapons, and can't read abilities or Weapon forms.]
