Description: Anise spies Kratos and enables him to buy her dinner


Anise hated waiting. She would much rather go out and do something than to just sit around. With the recent events, she really wanted a weapon to help her out but she can be picky. She was use to having Tokunaga, her doll, do most of the work but what can she do now? She was use to being in the background and dish out spells, she wanted a staff. However, there wasn't much she could do. She had to try out different weapons.

With a sigh, she mumbled and went out to get some dinner. There was no use in getting upset on an empty stomach.

Then she stared at him. Did she just heard that from him? Huh, he was a lot kinder than a lot of rich people she knew. However, she wouldn't have it. "You know, if you don't eat anything, you'll die of starvation later. I don't want to be the cause of your death when that happens."

[flamberge]

"Starvation requires upwards of several weeks in order to prove fatal and I have no intention of going without food for that long a period of time." Deadpanned Kratos as he picked up his wine glass and took a drink. Good quality wine, though now lacking a meal to accompany. Oh well, alcohol can be consumed on its own.

[tokunagas]

She pushed the fish back to him. "Nope, you're going to eat it! You bought so you eat it! And besides..." She points back to her meal. "I can't finish all of this! I need someone else to eat the rest!"

[flamberge]

"I'd purchased your meal as well, you realize." He bluntly stated. Really, if she wanted to use an argument against him there were better ones to use than that, ones more difficult to rebut. Even so, the meal belonged to her now. "If you are unable to eat it all, simply have the waitress wrap it for you so you might take it home."

[tokunagas]

She pouted at him. "Now you're making me feel guilty." She sighed before taking another bite from the fish. "At least eat some of it! Or else I won't eat any of it anymore!"

[flamberge]

With a soft sigh, he set down the glass before picking up the fork and knife. He cut off a small piece but large enough to prevent Anise from complaining of its size. Once having swallowed, Kratos turned his gaze back on her. Hopefully that had been good enough. "Was that satisfactory?"

[tokunagas]

"Yes but you need to eat some more!" She wasn't going to have it until he ate at least half of it. She pouted for him to continue. She had learned her lesson but she still felt kind of awkward around kind people. Then, a flash of guilt. Why did he have to remind her of Ion?

[flamberge]

Now that reaction wasn't one he'd been expecting. Her sudden crestfallen expression actually concerned him. Was she maybe not feeling well? "What's wrong?"

[tokunagas]

She wasn't paying much attention to her expression at the time. She questioned Kratos. "Huh? No, everything's fine!" When she said that, that was when she realized what happened. "But you're so kind to ask! I still say you would make a good husband one day!" She hoped that would change the direction of the conversation.

[flamberge]

A frown crossed his face and he just stared at her for several moments, saying nothing. Finally, he set down the fork and knife, closed his eyes and picked up the glass again. "You should also attempt to improve upon your ability of steering a conversation away from an unpleasant topic without being so obvious." He stated before taking another drink.

[tokunagas]

She paused at him. Was it that obvious? "Well, it's something that I don't want to talk about. Let's just say...it's something that I'm not proud of." What would he think that a little girl killed her own friend? Not to mention it was someone who was so...kind.

[flamberge]

"Few could truthfully say that they have not done actions which they regret." A comment made more to comfort rather than pry. What had happened to her was not any of his business, but she clearly was troubled by whatever occurred.

[tokunagas]

Anise wasn't sure how to respond back. However, she did smile back at him once more. "You got that right. Does who don't are just big jerks!"

[flamberge]

Or insane. Those who lacked a moral compass or thought themselves flawless were the most dangerous. At least his words had the intended impact of brightening her mood. "Hmph. Precisely."

[tokunagas]

She took another bite out of the fish before pointing to it. "And you are suppose to help me finish the rest!" If Kratos was going to be kind and give her his dinner, she might as well share. "Be a little selfish!"

[flamberge]

"My selfishness will come in the form of a second glass of wine once I've finished this one." With that, he took another drink of said wine. The meal was hers and that was that. No amount of coercing could change his mind.

[tokunagas]

"But wouldn't that mean you'll get wasted?" Although she wasn't sure how high his alcohol tolerance was. If he was of rich heritage, he could handle it...right?

[flamberge]

"Two glasses of wine is hardly enough to result in intoxication." Now six or seven could give him a pretty good buzz, but no need for such a thing existed. This wasn't some fancy noble party which required alcohol to keep him from losing his sanity; it was dinner with a young girl.

[tokunagas]

"How about 4 or 5?" She smirked at him before taking another bite and shoving it back to him. "If you don't eat anything it will make you slightly buzzed."

[flamberge]

Anise certainly managed to be persistent. Quite fortunately, Kratos' stubbornness matched her own. "You needn't worry about me. I am well aware of my own tolerance."

[tokunagas]

"If you say so..." She smirked before asking the waitress if she could have a box. "Well, I'm stuffed, are you sure you don't want to eat anymore? It's not going to taste as good when we go back home!"

[flamberge]

"Yes, I'm certain." He replied right before finishing off the glass of wine.

[tokunagas]

"All right then! Don't come crying to me when you regret it!" She said before placing her food in tomorrow. Then she stared at him. "I'm not going to have to give you anything in return right?"

[flamberge]

He momentarily raised an eyebrow at her. Did he really seem the type to want something in return for all this? "I'd never expected anything of the sort."

[tokunagas]

She eyed at him for a moment before smiling. "All right but you have been warned!"
