Anise hated waiting. She would much rather go out and do something than to just sit around. With the recent events, she really wanted a weapon to help her out but she can be picky. She was use to having Tokunaga, her doll, do most of the work but what can she do now? She was use to being in the background and dish out spells, she wanted a staff. However, there wasn't much she could do. She had to try out different weapons.

With a sigh, she mumbled and went out to get some dinner. There was no use in getting upset on an empty stomach.

"I'm not so sure, there are those who are a lot smarter than they look." She sighed. He was sure optimistic too...

[flamberge]

"I'll be careful, rest assured." Really, he was a decent judge of other people's character. At very least, someone shady could be easily spotted so no need for worry existed.

With that said, the waitress comes back with the check. As Anise looked at it, the price of the fish was...well...

"Jeez...I didn't know it was that expensive!"

Kratos took the check from her and didn't even flinch at the price. Actually, the amount was less than he'd imagined, but that felt something better left unsaid. He set it down on the table and pulled out his wallet, placing several bills inside the black case with the bill.

Meanwhile Anise just stared at him like it was nothing. Damn those rich bastards! With a sigh, she waited for the check to come back. "So how rich are you again? How can you pay like it was nothing?!"

[flamberge]

"It is impolite to ask another's financial status." Came his calm reply. The waitress came back with his change fairly quickly. Kratos placed it back in his wallet before taking out another $20 and leaving it on the table for the waitress.

As Kratos left a 20 dollar bill, her eyes widen. "Are you serious? You don't need to give a $20 tip! 5 dollars or so should be enough! The price isn't even over 100!"

[flamberge]

He stared at her for a moment. How tips work wasn't something overly familiar to him. Usually he'd just leave around 2000 gald, which $20 seemed the equivalent of and thought nothing of it. Maybe being an raised an aristocrat really did impact his behavior. "A job such as this is typically a low paying one with the employees obtaining a majority of their pay through tips. Leaving a twenty seems only courteous."

"But that's not how it works." She simply said. "Besides, do you do this all the time?" Can you see the look for disapproval? You're still too nice, Kratos, she thought to herself.

[flamberge]

Oh he saw the look, but just politely chose to ignore it. "Whenever I go out to eat, yes." Can you see why he doesn't go out much? He'd be broke.

[tokunagas]

"But you'll run out of money quicker! You need to manage it more carefully and especially in a place like this!" Although he could probably cook some food on his own. However, she wasn't so sure since it seems like more people ate out more.

[flamberge]

"Money is hardly as great a necessity here considering a majority of things are provided by Shibusen." Which was nice. Money could be spent on other important things, like books or the occasional nice meal or whatever else.

[tokunagas]

"But you could still save it up..." That 20 bucks...going down to waste for a tip! Anise honestly couldn't understand that at all.

[flamberge]

"I have savings, you realize. Not all of my money is on my person." First rule of being a noble: saving up is your friend and never carry every cent on you. And really, it was just $20. Not really all that much.

[tokunagas]

"20 dollars is still a lot!" To her anyway. How could he just give up that much money so easily? It frustrated her to no end. Just...how....

[flamberge]

A somewhat exasperated sigh left him. Note to self, should he accompany Anise to dinner in the future, slip in the tip with the bill. "And it is my money to do with as I so please."

She mumbled under her breath. How could people just waste money like that?! However, he was right, it was his money...even if it did annoy her a lot. What could she do? Oh well, she'll just have to teach him how to tip. Secretly. In the meantime, she sighed. "Fine...but remember to pay a little less next time."

[flamberge]

"I'll take your advice under consideration." Not a complete lie. He would consider it. Whether or not he'd actually do it was another matter entirely.

[tokunagas]

She raised an eyebrow before the waitress came back with their money. With that, Anise got off from her seat and went to the door. "So are you ready? Let's go!"

[flamberge]

Kratos thanked the waitress and pocketed his change before wordlessly following Anise to the door. Tonight had certainly been an eventful evening, if nothing else.

As she waited outside, she stared back at Kratos. It wasn't as bad she thought it would be but her suspicion was correct. He was rich but not all nobles were bad. However, she did have to wonder if he was just naive or simply did not care about the value of money here...

As he made his way over to Anise, he noticed her staring at him again. Whatever the reason for it, if it were important enough she would vocalize soon enough. "Do you need me to escort you back to your residence or are you capable of doing as much on your own?"

[tokunagas]

"Well...it's up to you really." She said. "Although I wouldn't mind having someone escort me back home~" She probably knows that Kratos realized that she could defend herself just fine but she couldn't pass up the chance to be a little princess.

[flamberge]

Little princess, indeed. Oh well, he'd already spent this much time in her company. A few more minutes wouldn't hunt. "Where do you live?"

[tokunagas]

"I live in the commons so it shouldn't be a long walk!" And she's milking this for all its worth.
