EVENT: And Then the Rain Falls
Characters: Anyone heading to Costa Rica
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica
Rating: PG
Time: September 2nd, all day
Description: The day of the attack arrives...and things are not as they seem.
The attack begins as the sun rises...because the person planning this did love dramatic timing.
Before this, Shibusen had given out information about the Clown's weaknesses and powers, but as the attack begins, it's clear that something isn't quite right.
Red Clowns that should have been nearsighted can suddenly see very well, and the Yellow and Purple Clowns are much stronger than Shibusen's original report. And more than one individual has approached an ally only to be attacked.
And in the midst of all this, there is a figure, more human than the others, in a dress that's half purple and half red...
This is clearly not going to be an easy battle, but all you can do now is fight.
((OOC: Please put, [Character || OPEN/CLOSED] in your subject header! Assume there are local NPCs wandering all over the place. There will also be a separate thread for the event NPC if you want to tag them!))

[The cats scratched at their targets, hissing and letting out screeches as the Lily clones tried to shake them off, repeatedly saying "What in tarnation?" as if they were parrots that had learned a new phrase. The virus didn't work as quickly as the last time but the bruises were slowly forming and D glared as one of the cats was kicked away and dissipated.]
How rude!
[As if an indication of his indignation at the act, more smoke curled from the incense burner, ready to be formed into another animal.]
no subject
[Though, they are clowns and they don't want to die. As long as they were there and threatening the tents, she continued making cats to attack the 'Lily's. She could see the bruises, but she wasn't going to cower at the sight.]
[At the new smoke, she tried something different - a dog to be specific.]
Going to tag as Lily next... Then, Lezard, Rosalia, D?
[The smoke condensed, forming a dog with an oddly egg-shaped head, somewhat resembling a bull terrier. With a few barks, it ran towards the closest clown and bit into its shin.]
Yes, that works... though, you'll be tagging yourself
[Oh, that was good. She decided to summon another dog from smoke and send it at the other clown.]
Or I guess Lezard, D, Rosalia, Lily?
I'm down.
Your fakes are a joke!
no subject
[But he hadn't yet absorbed enough souls to create such an animal. They'd have to settle for cats and dogs for now.]
Another duplicate?
[That was his first impression when the real Lily appeared. And was that book laughing? But she seemed to be attacking the others? Was this the genuine one?]
no subject
[She could make a Bengal cat though.]
[Turning at the mention of another Lily, Rosalia sighed, relieved to see it was actually Lily. That laugh had to be Lezard.]
Lily! Mr. Lezard!
no subject
[She agreed with Lezard as the fakes kept repeating the few phrases they'd heard her say as the flames burned at their arms and hair. With the damage they'd already suffered from the animals, it wasn't a pretty picture.]
Rosalia, are you all right?
[Hopefully, they could defeat the two remaining clowns quickly and make sure the medical tent was—Dag nab it! That new puddle bubbling out of the ground wasn't a good sign...]
no subject
[Ah, hello puddle. Lezard was already weaving a runic circle. May as well Fire Storm the unfortunate wretch before it gets any solid ideas, hm?]
And then I realized I've been forgetting italics this whole time...
[And he'd hoped to see what other animals they might have been capable of summoning. But the Bengal cat would do for now, its claws bringing out more bruises and blood from the burning clowns, struggling not to liquify.]
What is that woman with the book doing?
[He watched with interest as the circle formed on the ground around the bubbling puddle which was starting to rise and take shape.]
Haha, it's okay
[She wouldn't mind helping him achieve tigers.]
I'm okay, Lily!
[Totally unharmed!]
Yup! Lily can use fire because of Mr. Lezard's Weapon form. I knew she wouldn't leave him behind! [Rosalia always had faith in people. Looking at the bubbling piles, it seemed like the other two had it covered... still, she could put a dog on the prowl in case the fire didn't rid of it.]
no subject
[She was still of the opinion that trying to make their own clowns would have been asking for trouble.]
[She nodded to Rosalia. That was a relief. And her two lookalikes were slowly collapsing into puddles of silver goo while a pillar of flames rose to engulf the newly forming clown. But it wasn't over yet, more puddles bubbling out of the ground.]
no subject
I did wonder if any other pairs had decided to guard the med tent, rather than join the front lines.
...You appear to be faring well enough as a Meister, Miss Rossellini.
no subject
[An extra dog or two certainly wouldn't hurt. More clowns were rising from the ground, trying to take the form of the novice Meister.]
I only came at Miss Rosalia's request.
[Well, and to earn some money for a new wardrobe even if he didn't want to admit that. D was curious as to what else could be summoned with his Weapon form but he wasn't especially fond of the idea of helping these humans with their dirty work.]
no subject
[It's weird, seeing the clowns trying to take her form, but the cats and dogs were on it. Even if they let them go, a clown exhibiting the virus's bruise would give it away.]
Thank you. We're trying our best to keep people from being hurt more than they already are.

Dag nab it! They keep coming!
[Concentrating on the ground below one of the clowns slowly taking Rosalia's shape, she formed another circle of runes. Already tired from fighting her doubles, she was getting worried how much longer they could keep this up if the assault didn't let up soon.]
Rosalia, we need to get rid of these things quick!
no subject
[With that, another bubbling pile was engulfed in flames, and he expanded his awareness to pick up more fluctuations of Madness in the area.]
no subject
[What the other Weapon said was true and D allowed more smoke to curl from his form, ready to be put to use.]
Shall we create a few more cats and dogs? It seems these creatures haven't learned their lesson yet...
no subject
[At the extra smoke, Rosalia nodded to Count D and made more animals. She wouldn't let them get away and put people in danger.]
no subject
[Could they manage to summon the snakes again to bind the clowns? She wasn't completely sure. Rosalia and her partner's efforts were helping but with so many clowns trying to rise from the puddles on the ground, it might be hard to make sure none slipped away.]
no subject
[Which could mean he could ignore it. Which he would. But for now he worked to sync up. If they couldn't bind the clowns they could surround them, bar their exit and make use of magic to eradicate them while netted.]
no subject
[The group of half-formed clowns had grown to half a dozen, increasing the chances one might slip away. Larger dogs would have been more effective for such a task but it seemed they would have to work with what they had.]
