EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!

Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control

The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.

Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.

There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.

Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...

Beneath the blood, she picked up on her Weapon's scent and immediately began to track it. With one need superseding the other, she forgot what affect her mere presence was doing on people. She hurried to meet him half-way as he came towards her.

He may as well be drunk for some reason because that wave was not appropriate for everything going on. Remembering what was happening around her again, she noted a few humans bumbling along their way, unconcerned about one of them being eaten by a Kishin egg. Just... great.

Shaking her head and snorting, she approached Psii and woofed. Okay, he needed to transform - now.

Psii was puzzled for moment about how to translate bark. Thought knew it as Amaterasu's signal that they had work to do. But didn't see anything requiring attention. Still, if she wanted him in different hardware, didn't matter to him. He obligingly changed to goggles.

At least he understood he needed to transform somehow. With him in goggle form, she slipped him onto her head and huffed. It didn't take long for the resonation to be established.

"Psii, what's going on? We have to take down the Kishin eggs." Though, again, it seemed like she was the only one concerned on this block. Maybe Psii would enlighten her.

Could feel urgency from Amaterasu, but not in way usually did. Resonance seemed to dampen emotions from her, so Psii sensed, could deduce, them, but didn't feel for self as could when resonance was at peak efficiency.

Why? Think they're all right where they are.

Amaterasu's jaw dropped open and she just looked at the goggles. Resonating was still fine, but she sent her shock to be palpable.

"Psii, a man is being eaten about ten feet away. I don't believe that's 'all right'." Seriously, her head turned and there was the man... with everyone just watching. What is this even? "Just... charge up please."

He observed her shock with mild confusion.

Okay, but think you need to relax. Like me.

He was so calm, in fact, that felt none of his usual tension at using personal pronoun.

"I'll relax once the invasion is over..."

She could only grumble slightly at his whole lax demeanor. Completely inappropriate right now, but she would make do. First going down would be that moose familiar though. It charged, she leapt, catching it by the throat and bringing it down. A normal wolf would require a pack, but Ammy wasn't normal.

Leap she made felt like floating through air to Psii, inevitably reminding of when was ship. Even that memory didn't carry strong emotion with it. He readied energy for blast, but felt very slow, sluggish. Probably needed sleep.

Am not sure feel normal?

"You're not. Something's wrong with my ability. I can't turn it down and everyone is... well..."

Standing over the moose's body, she glanced towards the side so he could see. Explosions all around, but people were still sitting in a nearby coffee shop not giving a damn. "That's happening."

That made great deal of sense. Psii tried to feel concerned for humans caught in explosion. But couldn't summon anything more than distant curiosity.

Am sorry. Think can still provide Weapon ability.

"If you would so kindly."

Because now the kishin eggs are coming for them; Kishin eggs and more familiars.

Wasn't easy. Still felt as if hardware was mired in mud, but Psii charged up energy, and forced outward to send to her.

Do you think increasing resonance would help rein in Meister ability?

Amaterasu noticed, troubled. They wouldn't be able to fight eggs like this.

"It may."

Relaxed state did make it easier to open mind more fully than usual, without constant worry of sheer volume of data being overwhelming. Psii let all mental firewalls down, and reached out.

The difference between experience was obvious. Still, having him open up a little more did seem to help draw in some of her ability. Not enough to 'sober' him in any sense of the word, but it was better.

"Yes. Just like that."

Without ability to sense urgency, knew he wouldn't be a good judge of when she needed it.

"Alright. And when I do, I'll buy time so you can charge up."

With that, she took off, paws pounding against the cobblestone. Seemed like the familiars were wise to keep away from her, but the kishin eggs were taking their time. They couldn't pass up a meal. "If you would pass some energy now."

Psii sent pulse of energy outward, trying to match approximate strength of usual moderately strong blast. Was very difficult to judge, because all effort seemed much greater than usual.

There.

Still felt no more than distant, mild curiosity about kishin swarming streets.

"Thank you."

Though it wasn't too much energy, they could still take down an egg. Having some mild curiosity digging in the back of her mind was not helping, but it wasn't enough to stop her from tackling an egg.

Psii observed fight with same detachment as everything else. Knew ought to try to shake it off, but only in most intellectual sense.

Could try letting you have more control over energy?

"Is that possible?"

She never heard that being a thing, but if he could manage. Still, she didn't want to control him.

Was able to do it with former partner. Though was not... in current state.

"Well... I'll give it a try."

She doesn't know if it will work, but she's going to try. Her soul proceeds to reaching, drawing his strength.

Psii tried hard to focus and channel energy outward, so that Amaterasu could take and do with what she would.

Using physical action to direct seemed to help.

"Physical action. I can do that."

She just needs something to hit. Ah, there was an egg on the prowl now. She tossed herself sharply, aiming to blast the thing right in the face.
