[Morning Training, open to all!]

Rating: PG-13 for violence of the training sort
Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Friday, August 21st.

[Lee looked down at his hands resting on his knees.]

Well, I missed you.... I was worried you weren't going to come back.

[A small, understanding smile, Neji finally lifts his good hand to Lee's shoulder]

Well I'm back now, and I'll be back in good health soon. I've been convinced to go straight home after this.

Alright... [And Lee managed a smile, even if he was worried. How injured was Neji, anyway?]

Should I pick up lunch after training, then?

[Lee seems to brighten and Neji takes heart in that. He doesn't need his teammate to be overly worried, but perhaps once they got home to rest, the Chuunin would feel better]

That sounds great. [He's not sure he can eat anything without tasting blood actually, but he does need to eat something] We'll do that, then relax.

Mn. Did you want anything in particular?

[After a battle, eating good food was always the best.]

[Neji mulls it over for a few moments, knowing more about what he didn't want. Thick soup sounds nauseating for instance, and he works to keep that from showing]

Nothing with soup. Anything else should be fine, however.

No soup? Um, sandwiches?

[That seemed like it would easy enough on a nauseated stomach as long as he didn't get anything with crazy dressing on it.]

[He nods]

That should work; I'd just rather eat solid food at the moment.. I hope you don't mind.

[Because if he throws anything back up, he's sure he'll lose his taste for soups even longer, and even his favorite dish.. But now he needs a new topic before Lee comes up with a new question]

I'm told nothing interesting happened while I was gone, and the Watch seems to be in good hands..

No, I don't mind...

[Lee would take that into account when he made dinner tonight as well.]

Yes. Things went smoothly... All our fellow shinobi guessed that I was lying, however. Well, except Naruto-kun.

Well, they know me better than most.. Though Naruto's always been fairly gullible.

[Naruto hadn't seemed happy that Lee had lied to him..]

I can understand why you did so.. I take it nothing of mine disappeared?

True...

[Lee felt bad about lying to everyone, but it had to be done (in Lee's opinion).]

Not that I noticed. And I checked! I checked... twenty-two times.

Lee... [He doesn't need to ask how Lee was during those few days, already knows his partner was frantic without him. His hand tightens on Lee's shoulder]

It's alright, I'm here now and I doubt I'll disappear again.

[Lee reached up to place his hand over Neji's, giving it a little pressure. All he could do to show his true strife it seemed.]

Well, no one can predict BREW... I am just glad you are back.

[Neji nods, knowing that's true enough. Even dead people had been sent back to their home worlds before.. But save for this one incident, he'd been in Death City for a long time. It'll be awhile until Lee relaxes about it again, he's sure, and he knows for a certainty that he can't tell him about his death just yet]

Then we'll just have to be content with that for now.

Yeah...

[Lee breathes, still feeling unfulfilled without a proper hug but not for now. Later. Later...]

I suppose I should opened up the Hug Brigade...

[Neji hums a short, considering note]

If you're careful... my left shoulder was dislocated.

[Lee glances over, not sure if he can trust himself even.]

Are you sure? I do not want to hurt you...

It's up to you, Lee.

[And this is the one occasion he'll actually volunteer for Lee's sake, so if he doesn't take it, Neji's not going to grant him permission again]

[With the decision left up to him, there was really no question on how it would be answered. Scooting closer, Lee gently reached his arm around Neji's waist and pulled him close, pressing his face against his shoulder. It might look a little snuggly for two men, but Lee didn't care. He was just glad to have Neji back.

He reached out with resonance then, his soul caressing Neji's tenderly.]

Thank you for coming back...

[It's far more than he usually allows in any sort of public setting, but he knows, even if he doesn't quite understand, that Lee takes assurance through contact. It's his way of showing people he cares, and unlike virtually everyone else on the training field, Neji understands what Lee's trying to accomplish with the Hug Brigade. But not everyone needs or wants that level of comfort.

The brush of Lee's soul against his is a reminder of what he's missed, this deep connection.. It overwhelms him for a moment and he hastily works to hide the heavier thoughts that had weighed on his mind]

Of course, Lee. I never had any intention of leaving you here..

[For a moment, Lee thinks he catches something interesting on Neji's soul, but it washes away before he can try to examine it further. Perhaps his own mind is playing tricks on him. He's practically radiating relief just having Neji back, so it wouldn't be surprising.]

I know... but I did miss you. I am glad you are back.

[Neji feels a shiver work through him- Lee's relief, his usual onslaught of strong emotion.. It reminds him of the decision he's making, and for right now, he thinks it's the right one.

He sighs, feeling his own tension melt away, and shifts slightly to indicate his preference for the embrace to end]

Feel free to open your Brigade then. I can maintain this contact with you if you'd like.

I would like that... but do not let me distract you from your work.

[And with that, Lee released his grip and pushed himself off the bench. Moving to give Amaterasu a quick scratch behind the ears, Lee gave Neji one more parting wave.]

I will see you at home, then. Do not worry about clean-up. Team seven has been helping me.

[Neji nods with a faint smile and watches his partner move to stand. He hasn't brought any work with him, so there isn't much to distract him from]

Fair enough. I'll remain here if you need me.
