Description: Skiing! Hot chocolate! Snowball fights! Hiking! Folks of Death City say 'screw the heat' and decide to take a frosty vacation a few states away. COMMENCE MISCHIEF.

The discounted price came at a surprisingly good time. With the temperatures in Nevada climbing and no end in sight, it seems the owners of a Pacific Northwestern lodge took pity on the Meisters and Weapons of Shibusen and offered them a break from the heat. Despite it being July, the snow was still plentiful for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and innertubing! Dress warm, rent some gear or bring your own and have at it, they say!

From dawn to dusk, the mountain is lively on all sides, boarders and ski nuts to ski newbies enjoying a mid-week break while nature buffs take hikes over the trails on the greener side of the mountain, reachable by a short bus ride from the main lodge. Whether you're more into the powdery white or the vivid green, there's a spot for you to take a breather on Mount Hood.

[She waves it off, laughing.] Nah, don't worry about it! I still have plenty of time to get this done.

Alright, I'll make sure not to worry about it then!

[ She goes ahead and takes a sip of her hot chocolate, before looking over at Minako again. ]

So, umm, how's it been with you and Josuke-san? Everything going okay on the mission front?

[a nod] More or less, yeah. I wonder if we should be taking on more missions though... I feel like I'm taking things too easy here. What about you though, Chika-chan? Did you manage to find a partner?

Yeah, I have.

[ She can't help but giggle though. ]

I... totally understand what you mean about the taking on more missions thing. Asuka and I haven't been able to go on as many as I'd like. Not with the Arcade for me to run and all.

That's great! I'm glad to hear it.

Yeah, my job keeps me pretty busy most of the time. I need to make more time in my schedule at this rate.

[ Chika nodded, though she frowned and sighed. ]

Yeah. More time. If only there was some easy way to get that. Have you changed jobs since you got here, or are you still working at that Cafe?

[She shakes her head.] I'm still working at the cafe. It's honestly a lot of fun! Just, y'know, a lot of time you have to put into it.

[ Chika giggles at the comment about it being a lot of work. She's the last person who needed to be told about that.]

I'm glad to hear that you still like working there, even if it is a lot of work. Running the arcade is really the same for me. Tons of fun, but it eats up all my time. At least that's how it seems by the end of the week.

Yeah, I bet it'd be fun considering how fun it usually is to go to an arcade in general. I should try to free up time to stop by there too; it's been a while since I've gone to an arcade. [She can only imagine that Junpei would've dragged her there all the time if he was here.]

[ Chika brightens up even more at that. ]

You definitely should! We have a lot of fun games and stuff there! I don't exactly get to play the games a lot, since, well, manager. But that doesn't mean that I can't show you around a little bit.

[ As for Junpei, he's the one who started the Arcade in the first place, so yeah he'd probably drag you in if he were still here. ]

[Oh man IF ONLY SHE KNEW...!]

When we get back home, I'll put it up at the top of my list of things to do! [Does she even actually have a list?? Probably not, but she's all about having fun man.] I could definitely use a little more game-playing in my life at this point.

That sounds great, Minako-chan!

Who knows, I might be able to get myself enough of a break during the day when you show up to play a couple of the games with you.

[ Well, she hopes, anyway. It could get pretty busy and things could go pretty wrong sometimes. ]

Oh, now that definitely sounds like fun! Do you have any fighting games? Racing ones maybe? If you can catch a break, we should compete!

[ Chika can't help but grin at that. ]

Oh yeah. We have plenty of both of those. What type of arcade would we be if we didn't?

Haha, just making sure! When a place has a sun and moon with faces, I wouldn't be surprised it even an arcade was a little strange too.

[ And now you're getting laughter, Minako. ]

Well, I guess if it was an arcade that wasn't started by us guests here, it might be something to wonder about. But I think if you go anywhere, people still want games where they can beat their friends up a lot.

Haha, I have to agree! There's nothing like getting the KO on your friend after a tough match.

Yeah! It's even more fun when you do it after someone assumes that you'd suck at the game at all. It never really gets all that old.

[ She's been doing it for years. And it's always so satisfying to see a guy who assumed she'd be easy to beat freak out. ]

Right? I could see it a million times, but I'd never get tired of the looks on people's faces after something like that.

I know! You'd think that guys would realize it after a while. But nope, so many people still think that I can't play games because I'm a girl. And I've been kicking a lot of their butts at games like fighters since I was ten.

Yeah! I don't know who got the idea into their head that girls don't play video games, but they must've been really dumb. [She gives Chika a thumbs-up.] Haha, alright, now that's the way to go!

[ Chika shrugs. ]

Maybe it's because we don't obsess about it all the time and talk about more than just that?

When you put it like that, it's more like it's just sad that they don't have lives outside of games.

[ Chika shrugs. ] Well, it kinda is. I mean, if that's all that they do and stuff. You can't really do just one thing, otherwise there's not a lot of people you can make friends with.

Yeah. It's good to have things you're passionate about, but just having one hobby kinda limits you.
