EVENT: Retake the City

Description: There are Kishin eggs in the city. Like, everywhere. They've pretty much taken over and we can't have that, now can we?



Early in the morning, the sandstorm finally began to fade. By noon, it was gone completely, leaving behind far too much sand for comfort. The city is not in the best shape, having taken damage from the elements as well as the Kishin Eggs that are crawling all over the place, who seem to have made this place a new home.

They could move under the sand (and were quite fast when they did) and the fact that apart from their mouth the rest of their orifices was quite small it's clear that they were built to move like that. There's also the pesky fact that the city has buildings and alley ways they can hide in. The fact that Death City is layered like a cake is also a problem as it creates a lot of place for an enemy to jump down and ambush unsuspecting victims.

Of course, it's easy enough to repay in kind.

Either way, the familiar streets of Death City is now a battleground and the objective? Take back the city.

[Eren doesn't mind the overwhelming presence of Takuto's soul for once, instead welcoming it with the calculating mind of a soldier who's aware that he's standing in front of a blinding source of light that both attracts their enemies and renders them unable to see them for what they truly are.

He grins and feels his parting lips revel nothing but hungry teeth at how easy killing them all will be when Takuto's silent shout interrupts his concentration.]

...? [Oh right. The two who went down. He allows Takuto movement of his own body with some resistance, but not before maneuvering them out of the reach of snapping teeth again.] They'll manage or die. If you want to help them, we need to fight!!'

[The answer comes on an instinctive level rather than coherent thoughts as Eren tries to tug them towards the approaching monsters again.]

[Mizuno feels that she must be lucky to have gotten Ryou as far as she has, especially since there seem to be so many monsters around. It's lucky that they're not coming for her. But she can see that the closer Takuto is, the more they focus on him, and the further he is, the more they start to be distracted by her pants as she drags Ryou across the ground.

She's looking around frantically as she drags him, though, trying to find the nearest door or rock or hiding spot of any variety really. There are doors, of course, but not all of them are accessible. And she's just starting to drag Ryou to the first one she can get to when she sees something moving towards her in the distance.]

[On one hand, if Takuto tries to force his own will on the weapon too hard, their resonance is likely to fall apart, which would be a complete disaster. But on the other hand, if they don't remain relatively close to Mizuno and Ryou, the fallen pair is likely to get even more hurt. But it's hardly any kind of decision at all when he catches a glimpse of the look on Mizuno's face.]

Eren, those are my friends. It's not about 'they'll manage or die.' We're going to protect them.

[In other words, they can fight--and they should fight--but their fighting is going to have a purpose. He tries to instill some kind of order to the incoherent battle lust he's sensing from his weapon. His point is not to outright stop Eren from doing anything, but instead to just channel him.]

[There's a brief surge of anger coming from Eren before he grudgingly reels his temper in and relinquishes control to Takuto, although a strong sense of 'This is stupid and not going to help anyone' still lingers unspoken in the air.]

Then go and help them.

[Moments later they are whizzing towards the ground, only slowing down once Takuto's long feet are going to reach the earth easily at any moment. It's not that Eren can't understand the desire to protect one's friends - he does! - but everything in him screams that this is the wrong way to go about it.]

[Luckily for everyone involved, the shape moving towards Mizuno and Ryou doesn't seem to be moving all too fast. And even as her two rescuers start to come to her aid, Mizuno manages to grab a door and yank it open, bodily dragging Ryou inside.

She doesn't really know if just a door will help protect them, but... well, it's worth a shot, right?]
