EVENT: Retake the City

Characters: Every who signed up to retake the city
Location: Death City
Rating: PG
Time: July 4th
Description: There are Kishin eggs in the city. Like, everywhere. They've pretty much taken over and we can't have that, now can we?

Early in the morning, the sandstorm finally began to fade. By noon, it was gone completely, leaving behind far too much sand for comfort. The city is not in the best shape, having taken damage from the elements as well as the Kishin Eggs that are crawling all over the place, who seem to have made this place a new home.

They could move under the sand (and were quite fast when they did) and the fact that apart from their mouth the rest of their orifices was quite small it's clear that they were built to move like that. There's also the pesky fact that the city has buildings and alley ways they can hide in. The fact that Death City is layered like a cake is also a problem as it creates a lot of place for an enemy to jump down and ambush unsuspecting victims.

Of course, it's easy enough to repay in kind.

Either way, the familiar streets of Death City is now a battleground and the objective? Take back the city.

Amaterasu's check to confirm that there had been no casualties results in relief all around, really. Acting out of revenge for blood spilled would do no one any good, so she was pleased there was nothing to set off any acts of vengeance. That was one thing she had yet to learn much of: What the goddess was like if she were angered,

"I may have to consider practicing it, then, for my own safety in the field."

And then there was the rabbit, and it was all too obvious that Amaterasu was pleased. Ghoulia, too, shared in the relief that they were okay. They, too, were residents of Death City, and the park would be a lonely, sad place without its residents still around.

It was something that hopefully, Ghoulia would never have to witness. To anger a God could become the very last thing one does upon the world. So far, her temper was still in check and had remained so for a while now. During their time, Amaterasu only wanted irritation being the cruelest thing felt.

"Mmm, when the city is all cleaned up again..."

Giving the rabbit a small nuzzle, the wolf withdrew herself from the burrow and covered it up again. They would only be safe after the last Kishin egg fell. The scent of many others already came to her so she took off to hunt, picking up one too close for her liking.

Hopefully she would never witness it, but if she did? She wouldn't stand in the way, the anger of a deity was not something to be trifled with. It would need to be carried through. But thus far, Amaterasu had shown nothing but kindness and determination. Enough so that she suspected the goddess was unable or unwilling to be angry.

"Yes. I truly wonder if it will ever be possible to be rid of all of this sand.

It was truly baffling how many Kishin eggs had moved in. The typical missions offered by Shibusen kept them going out, far away from the city. But yet here they were, fighting on their own home turf. In the place where everything was supposed to be safe.

It was unsettling.
