Description: Sugata breaks the news to Takuto that he's pregnant moving out and living with Nanami.

When Sugata made the decision to move out, that was back when they weren't talking. And now that they've made up and moved past this he... can't help but feel guilty that he's leaving Takuto. He knows how fragile the other can get, and really got used to being able to keep a closer eye on him. But, at the same time, he made a promise to Nanami. And he'd rather not go back on his word.

He heaves a heavy sigh as he waits for Takuto to get back from his shift with the watch. He knows he probably should have told the other sooner, but they all had such a great time at the gala. He didn't want to ruin that for Takuto. Not after things finally got better. He still didn't really know how he'd bring it up to the other either.

As he waits and tries to figure out how he's going to bring this up, he absentmindedly starts petting the dog. You know something's eating away at Sugata when he starts petting the dog of his own free will.

For someone so persistent on me getting my back washed, I'm starting to wonder if you're the one who wants their back washed." He tilts his head a little and offers takuto a playful smile.

"A hot spring visit would be nice though..."

[tauborn]

"Why? Do you think my back is dirty or something?" He turns a shoulder towards Sugata, almost as if he's inviting his friend to check. His back is perfectly clean, though! He's gone his entire life without a backwasher, and he doesn't actually need one... though showering with Yako seems more and more appealing the more he thinks about it.

"I think Yako and Sasha wanted to go to the hot springs when it cooled down a bit, too...." Though who knows if Sasha will still want to hang around Takuto after Yako has her talk with him. He doesn't know when that talk is happening, but he figures that as soon as it does, Sasha will start giving him a really cold shoulder or horrible, loathsome glares (so it must not have happened yet).

"You never know. There are spots you can't reach by yourself." He says with a shrug. Though really, Takuto? It's not like he can see that for himself with that shirt on. Not that he's inviting the other to take his shirt off. Because hah, just... no.

"That would be nice." He pauses as he hums a little to himself. "To get a little group together and all go down." They hardly opened up their hot springs time to anyone else, other than occasionally joking around with Wako. But that would be nice.

Also Sasha maaay or may not want to kick Takuto for making Sugata sleep on the couch when they had their fight. Just... throwin' that out there.

I probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out....

So all it means is that Sasha has way more reasons for giving Takuto bodily harm than Takuto suspects.

He nods a little uncertainly but tries to make it look natural. "We could invite Mizuno and Nanami, too." You know, so Yako won't feel so alone.

Yuuup, sorry Takuto. He can't save you from that one....

He looks up and nods. "I'm sure they would both love that."

He nods and then sighs, but there's still a small smile on his face. "You know, it's going to be weird not having you in the apartment." Even if he'd spent a whole week ignoring you and you weren't even there for part of it, it'll be weird not having Sugata around at all.

"Hopefully you're not going to replace me." he laughs a little as he rests his body against his knees. "You're more than welcome to visit me though."

[tauborn]

He raises and eyebrow and cringes. "Replace you? No thanks." He couldn't imagine inviting anyone other than his best friend Sugata to be the third roommate in a two bedroom apartment. There simply wasn't enough space. "Though I think... well, I don't know exactly if Yuugi plans to stay very much longer."

He's not going to kick Yuugi out, of course. But... but he has a feeling that the other boy may want to live elsewhere.

He can't help the tiny smile that worms it's way onto his face. It's nice to know that he's still needed. Even if they have their tiffs. In all of his life, he never really excepted to have this close a friendship with anyone other than Wako. But.. it's nice. And he wouldn't have it any other way. He's glad that they can go back to the way things were after a fight. That's probably one of the things he loves the most about this friendship. Because he can't really imagine giving a fuck about anyone else if they got into a fight. He'd be cordial to them afterwards, but... that would be it.

His brows rise a little as he looks up at Takuto. "Hmm? What do you mean?"

He shrugs. "Do you know the Pharaoh? The guy from Ryou's party that looks like an Eygptian version of Yuugi?"

He looks up. He's... pretty sure that's the other guy who's moving in with him and Nanami. "Yes, what of him?"

[tauborn]

He pauses for a long moment, trying to figure out how much really is his to tell and how much is Yuugi's. "Let's just say things are complicated between him and Yuugi. They might end up partners."

How is that even complicated??? Of course he doesn't know the full story, but to him that sounds like great news. "Oh? Is... that a good thing?"

[tauborn]

The complicated parts are the parts he hasn't told you, obviously. He shakes his head and shrugs. "I'm not sure yet."

Obviously, but it still sounds like good news to him nonetheless!!! "I'm sure they'll work through it." He pauses. "What are you going to do if he does move out?"

Because now he feels bad leaving Takuto if he's going to be living on his own.

[tauborn]

"I suppose Firecracker will get a whole room to himself?" He shrugs. "It'll be like before Yuugi moved in."

Which wasn't exactly one of the highlights of his life judging by the slight distance that suddenly seems to appear in his eyes. But he's shakes it off, not wanting Sugata to feel guilty or worry about him. Besides, there are advantages to living alone. "I can always invite Yako over with inconveniencing anyone, of course."

"I'm... sure he'd be excited. Just make sure he doesn't wet the bed." Not that Firecracker has ever peed in the house (as far as he knows), but still. "Don't close the door in on him either."

As much as he tries to hide it or shake it off, Sugata sees that distant look. And it's not one of his favorite looks. He opens his mouth to suggest him moving in with Nanami, there should be plenty of room in that house of hers, at least...) but he stops when he hears the other's plan.

"Ah... well... there's that too."

Firecracker is very well house-trained, and Sugata knows it!

He cracks a grin, certain that Sugata is at least a little bit jealous (even though he's missing the mark on the actual target of the jealousy). Though it'll be extra nice if he can spend time with Yako without having to be around Sasha....

"But I don't know yet if Yuugi actually plans to move out, or what."

If only he knew how much that comment literally hurt him. Too bad he wears too many masks for that. Sooo it's his loss. It doesn't stop him from shrinking a little in on himself though.

"Of course."

[tauborn]

And this is exactly why Takuto dislikes masks. Though obviously his encounters with the Crux and Death City's Erinyes have made his distaste for the things even stronger.

"So... maybe we should do something together, if you're not going to be staying here much longer." He thinks about it for a moment, and ultimately his stomach decides. "First things first--dinner."

But masking his emotions is how he gets through life. Which is something he does now. The teeny ounce of sadness he might have let slipped through, is masked with one of his standard smiles he only shows around his close friends.

He laughs a little and shakes his head. "Dinner would be nice."

[tauborn]

Takuto jumps up from the couch and heads towards the kitchen, followed by Firecracker, who knows the word "dinner" and also knows to be in the kitchen whenever Takuto is there.

He peers into a cupboard. "Um... rice? And... and there might be a bit of salmon left over from the other night...." Add some soy sauce and that is a balanced meal, right?

He gets up and follows suit. "That sounds nice. Can I help with anything?"

[tauborn]

"Want to set the table?" It's not going to be much of a fancy dinner, after all. The rice just has to go in the rice cooker and then the salmon is going to be reheated in the microwave. He starts measuring the rice, rinses it, and then dumps it into the rice cooker with the appropriate amount of water.

"Sure." With that he nods and as he makes his way around Takuto to get the plates, bowls, napkins, and chopsticks. Once he has the things he needs he makes his way out of the kitchen and goes about setting the table.
