Description: Sugata breaks the news to Takuto that he's pregnant moving out and living with Nanami.

When Sugata made the decision to move out, that was back when they weren't talking. And now that they've made up and moved past this he... can't help but feel guilty that he's leaving Takuto. He knows how fragile the other can get, and really got used to being able to keep a closer eye on him. But, at the same time, he made a promise to Nanami. And he'd rather not go back on his word.

He heaves a heavy sigh as he waits for Takuto to get back from his shift with the watch. He knows he probably should have told the other sooner, but they all had such a great time at the gala. He didn't want to ruin that for Takuto. Not after things finally got better. He still didn't really know how he'd bring it up to the other either.

As he waits and tries to figure out how he's going to bring this up, he absentmindedly starts petting the dog. You know something's eating away at Sugata when he starts petting the dog of his own free will.

"A gunblade. His brother was a matching one, so I had some practice learning to dual wield with them."

[peacocked]

A gunblade....he's gonna pretend he know what that looks like. It sounds simple enough to figure out thankfully. "I see. Makes sense I suppose. Were they relatively close in age?"

[tauborn]

"Aion is older, but not by too much." Actually, they were twins, but Takuto never guessed that they were and never even asked because Aion was so much more mature than Chrono.

Now see that makes a lot of sense why they're matching gunblades! But oh well, next question. "How long was Aion here for? Do you remember?"

[tauborn]

"We arrived on the same day. He was assigned the room across the hall from me, so we just ended up being around each other a lot, even before we started resonating."

[peacocked]

He looks up in thought. Well that definitely made sense... "I see. When did he leave?"

[tauborn]

"March."

He actually... doesn't have anything more to say on the subject tonight. It's already been three months since Aion left, but he can't decide if it feels like it's been forever or if no time at all has passed.

"I think the rice is nearly done." He gets up from the table and puts the fish in the microwave to reheat it. It's nice to have everything ready at the same time, after all.

He opens his mouth, burning with more questions, but closes it when Takuto stands up. He closes his mouth as he watches the other walk back into the kitchen. He knows he's probably not going to get any more questions out of Takuto concerning Aion tonight, but... hey at least this is a start. He shakes his head and sits up a little straighter. "Can I help you with anything?"

He nods. "You can put some rice in our bowls if you like." As long as you don't try to carry anything with your broken arm. By the time Sugata finishes that, the fish should be ready. He grabs the soy sauce and places it on the table.

"Sure, I can do that." And with that he sets about scooping rice into their bowls. He doesn't really have to guess how much he has to put in Takuto's bowl either after knowing him for such a long time. He tries to stay as observant as he can! But if that's the case, you should see him use his cast as a balancing table at the Bloody Butler. Though he knows better than to try and pull something like that here in front of Takuto. So the other can rest easy.

And in no time at all, the complete dinner is on the table. Takuto sits and grins at Sugata, though the smile is a little sad because he's now starting to count the days left when they'll be able to do things like sit down together for some leftover dinner.

Gosh, Takuto! It's not like the world is going to end because you won't be able to eat leftovers with your bffsie. They still managed to find a way to do that back on the island when they were living in separate places. Though, it was breakfast instead of leftovers.... He shakes his head a little. And, yup. You betcha Sugata's gotten a little better at reading his friend's actions.

"It's not going to be so bad, Takuto."

[tauborn]

He picks up his chopsticks and stifles a sigh, instead giving his friend a smile. "I know. It's just going to be different without you around, is all."

As if he is afraid he's going to be forgotten, Firecracker whines from underneath the table. Takuto doesn't feed him scraps during any meal, but that doesn't stop the puppy from asking for them.

Wow they sure do sound like a married couple being separated for the first time!! "We've managed before, I know we'll be fine." He pauses as he nibbles here and there at his dinner. "Besides I'm sure if you'd ask nicely Nanami wouldn't mind having you over for dinner."

[tauborn]

His smile becomes much more real at that comment.

"I think I'd like that a lot. I haven't been able to spend much time with Nanami lately, either." They hadn't spoken much since that last mission together where they'd slogged through way too much mud, climbed trees, and nearly been impaled by feathers. It'd been a weird mission.

"You know, maybe sometime it'd be fun the dual wield the two of you." This is Takuto's idea of fun, actually. Nanami isn't an easy weapon to dual wield. But if she already got along with Sugata, then it would be a lot easier.

He nods. "It would be nice, yes." Besides, who do you think you're talking to. Sugata will find a way to make hang out times happen for his bestie. That might be hard right now, but down the line? He knows he'll be able to make time for the other.

He perks up a little at the mention of being dual wielded. You have no idea how stir crazy he's started to become since the... accident. He's used to standing on the sidelines, but the useless feeling he gets whenever he passes the mission board never ceases to stop washing over him.

He set's his chopsticks down momentarily and gazes into his bowl. "It'd have to wait until after my arm is completely healed up though."

[tauborn]

"O-of course." He hasn't forgotten about Sugata's broken arm, or whose fault that is. And he hopes that Sugata bringing it up now isn't some kind of indication that his best friend is reluctant to be wielded by him again. He couldn't blame him if he didn't want to, and what he'd said at the Gala had made it seem like he wanted to, but his mind could always change....

"I mean, I'd want you to think about whether Nanami is someone you'd want to be dual wielded with, and whether she'd be okay being wielded beside you. Th-there's no rush."

[peacocked]

"It's not that I have an issue with us. I meant what I said at the gala, but... I'm sure you don't want me hurting myself anymore." He pauses and heaves a sigh. "Besides the wait and restlessness is just about killing me. I don't think I'll be able to go through the wait again should something else happen to it."

[tauborn]

Sugata getting hurt again is the last thing he wants.

"Well, if you're getting bored, I'm sure there's something you can do with a broken arm. I wouldn't recommend going on a mission, obviously, but you're smart enough to be able to help the war effort in other ways."

[peacocked]

"I've been trying, but there's only so much they want me to do." As far as helping out official people, at least. But if you have any ideas or suggestions, he'd love to hear them!

[tauborn]

"What about working at the clinic? I'm sure you're smart enough to be a doctor if you wanted." He'd still need years and years of training to become an actual doctor, but he could train to be a kind of medic in the meantime. It'd be pretty useful because it seemed like the clinic was always understaffed due to BREW's capriciousness.

[peacocked]

"That's not a bad idea..." He looks up in thought. "I'm sure Valentine would appreciate the help." Though he has no idea if she actually works in the clinic as well. He's just basing that off of her profession and what not...

[tauborn]

He nods, and then, because this is Sugata he can't help himself. "D-don't you think she's... a little creepy?" Creepy but she has such a nice figure. It's all very confusing.

[peacocked]

"I wouldn't say that exactly... She knows what she wants, and she knows how she wants to get it done." He definitely doesn't want to get on her bad side tho. Because he's sure she could make his death look like an accident, or something to the effect of him vanishing off quietly.

[tauborn]

"She's always carrying way too many scalpels to be a legitimate medical professional."

She's also always accusing Takuto of not paying attention or being dumb, and she also may have achieved good resonance and had a successful mission with Sugata, all of which may contribute to Takuto being a little more prone to dislike her. (Although, for the record, he doesn't actually dislike her. He just isn't sure if he likes her.)]
