Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

[Eren doesn't like the way people keep calling the places they come from 'my world' or 'your world' as if there were some big difference between them and the place here that could be just shoved aside, but he doesn't speak up to correct Shinji. He's not going to apologize for what he did even if he's not proud of it either.]

If you mean that humanity had to live like caged cattle waiting to be dragged out of our homes to be devoured, then yes, it was. It still is, if there's still a place left to return to once I get finally away from here.

I don't, but I think I get what you mean. There's an old saying about something like that where I come from. It's foolish to think that humanity will always stand united just because we're all humans.

That's an excellent saying to have.

[Titans are an awfully big difference, though. Figuratively and literally.]

That is horrible... [A slightly different kind of horrible that came with living in a world where humanity was constantly under threat of being wiped out should an angel appear, but similar enough that he could at least relate a little.] ... I'm sorry. [Damn. At least he'd tried to stop himself from saying it.]

[True, but Eren doesn't know that. Also, EVAs sound a terrible lot like titans.]

You shouldn't be. [He pulls his sleeve back over his arm before anything suspicious could be seen. His healing hasn't been working has half as much as before ever since he arrived here, but Eren still doesn't want to take any chances.] Being sorry makes it sounds as if it's something terrible that can't be helped. If we start thinking like that we can just as well stay put while we wait for them to wipe the rest of us out as well.

Yep. Seals. They have spells that I activate with my mana on them. Some are destructive, and others help. Unfortunately, I can't use them here.

[Sheena shakes her head.] It is kind of weird, but it's not all that different than fighting alongside a comrade and timing your strikes with his.

[Sheena helps the girl out by transforming her other arm into the handle part of the obijime and holding it out to her with the other.]

Horror-? [He makes a face.]

Well, it's not that they can deal with us that easily. It's more like it takes them a kick, or more.

[And he doesn't even know what the Evas were built to fight.]

That... isn't really what I meant. It's just unfortunate that it's happened at all. [Also he's sort of sorry for bringing it up in the first place because wow that was a really extreme reaction from Eren thinking he might have been involved somehow.] At least it sounds like you have a lot of really capable people on your side.

A special way of movement? How? [Her face is still uncertain as she tries to picture what this might be.] Just what kind of sword is this anyway?

The blades are forged from steel. If everything goes right you should have about eight of them available to you. [In case you end up breaking some.] As for the movement, it's forward, backward, right, left, up, down... all three sixty degrees. [Duh.]

Eight blades? I'm not an octopus so why would I need eight swords? And that sounds like how I can move on my own...

It gives you something to think about. But I'd rather have other humans to worry about than the titans. [Humans can just be killed.]

We do. [His expression turns sober, voice sad as he lowers his eyes to the ground.] But it's still an uphill struggle nobody knows if we can win. Everybody keeps dying...

[Like Petra, Auruo, Erd and Gunther. They had been the nest of the best but then.. He forces himself to quit the thought before unpleasant memories start to rise.]

It feels weird. [And not to mention kind of freaky to have a sword trying to move your arm for you.] I'd prefer to do it myself if you explain.

Well, I'm used to working alone. [So, the resonance thing seems extra weird to her.]

[Morgan grasps the handle and waits for her to finish the transformation.]

When did this happen? And do you have any proof? How can you be sure he would even have known of such a thing? [The Pharaoh was young, she'd guess in his mid-teens. But if it was when his father was Pharaoh, it must have been some years earlier than whenever BREW took him.]

He knew because I told him. His priests and the adviser knew as well. That happened during the last time we met, which should not be much for him since he arrived here. A couple of months, top.

The massacre itself happened back when I was six, fifteen years prior.

As for the proof- [His hand reaches for his chest, where the Ring would usually lie] Why else would he still hold the puzzle and why would it have it's powers? Why else does he try to hide his name along with his past? It's because both together open the way to revealing his sins. It'd not suit the king well if the corpses that his kingdom of justice and shining light was build on were to be seen.

[That's an unfortunate inevitability in war, but that doesn't mean it isn't going to hurt when it happens. Either way, Shinji can sympathize.]

As long as there's someone willing to fight, it isn't impossible to win, right? [He and the other pilots had certainly triumphed under nearly-impossible odds before, and even when all the pilots had been incapacitated in one way or another, it had been Misato, a non-soldier, forcing things in to action. All it really took was someone. It's a weirdly optimistic stance from Shinji, though it's backed with some awfully bitter memories.]

Your empress? How does she do that? [Isn't royalty usually rather useless on the battlefield?]
