[OPEN] June 2013 Introduction Log
Characters: Volunteers, Newcomers and OPEN for mingling!
Location: All Around Death City
Rating: Varies
Time: June 6th, All Day
Description: Welcome to Death City!
BREW's at it again. After powering up, giving energy readings on the night of the 5th that alerted Shibusen to new arrivals, they turn now to volunteers to assist in giving the newcomers the information and supplies they need.
Perhaps you're one of the ones who woke up in the Kishin Chamber on the morning of the 6th. Perhaps you live in Casualty Communal and were woken up by equipment transporting strange x-ray machines to rest in front of the building, prepared to scan the fresh meat and determine which are Meisters and which are Weapons.
The sun is laughing high in the sky as temperatures soar to 110 degrees F. The air wobbles in the distance, and many citizens are drinking plenty of iced tea and lemonade to cool down. One group of children has popped open a fire hydrant and are playing in the spraying water before the police arrive to give them trouble.
No doubt the new arrivals are confused... let's give them a warm welcome, shall we? But not too warm- stay hydrated and cool, everyone!
And new guys? Welcome to the desert.
[ooc: Newcomers! Simply tag in to any or all of the sections here and volunteers will pop right up to greet you ASAP! The last section is completely OPEN for newcomers, volunteers, or Guests all ready in Death City who want to come up and say hello. Have fun!]

AKA: See that cardboard box? It sure does look like it moved the last time you checked but its just sitting there innocently. Did you look away again? IT MOVED AGAIN. And that certainly is smoke coming out from the inside of it.
Feel free to.....bother him.]
[Meanwhile, when he's not being bothered by people, he's dialing up a certain person. RAIDEN. He saw the name on the device and BEEP BOOP he has no idea what he's doing PLS ANSWER RAIDEN.]

Raiden just checked the caller's ID and saw Snake. Okay, that can't be right. Snake has been dead for years. Raiden thinks he's tired and he's probably just seeing things.
Tldr; he hung up on Snake after checking the ID. ]

Hnnnn...
[Maybe he messed up the voice thing. Now text. But he can't find the punctuation keys! And shift key.]
raiden where the hell am i how do i work this thing
no subject
What is this message? Raiden's still in disbelief and he doesn't think this message is from THE Solid Snake. He's still going to answer the question anyways.]
Death City. What do you even need an explanation on? You seem to be using it well enough. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻.

[He can't into phone keyboards.]
where are you at
no subject
Is any of this real? Are you really Snake? I think I'm still asleep and that this is a dream.
no subject

Also what the fuck, is there a fire actually lighting inside of it or something? Yeah, she's definitely gonna peer inside. Hope you like cute
and slightly-creepy-lookingred eyes, Snake!]no subject

Fujino moves away from view, only to step to the side and check around it. Weird- there's nothing outside that seems to have caused it so she's down to her last resort.
SHE'S PICKING UP THAT BOX, YUP.]
no subject
99.99 ALERT.
I mean, he's kind of startled but he's still sitting there smoking.]
What do you want, kid?
no subject
[What is she supposed to say? How does she even react to this? Nothing in life ever prepared her for something this weird!
In any case, her expression shifts to a really awkward look. Because a man in a cardboard box, whyyy]
Um...pardon me for asking, but why were you in that box?

[Said with an entirely straight face after he stands up.]

Was that idiot really... Again?
Turning back like she'd forgotten something, Akiha rounded once she was passed the box and kicked it.
She kicked it down the stairs.]
Raiden, you moron, this is not the way to re-enter society post-recovery.
no subject
But he's still sitting there on a step, not looking pleased. He doesn't fall down stairs like a certain idiot.]
Do I look like that kid?
no subject
You both have questionable fashion sense, poor taste in concealment techniques, but I'm fairly certain Raiden can't grow a beard yet.
no subject
Kid, a cardboard box will save your life.

[Yep. ROOKIE.]
Making use of all resources is the sign of a good soldier. But hnnnn....
[Don't mind him as he gives you a look over, Akiha.]
