Morning Training Log!

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 27th.

[He reacts by smirking and tossing another fruit at her.]

[And her reaction? To toss the one she had at him, while catching the new one.]

[He does the same and tosses the returned fruit straight back towards her.]

[And she catches that one in her other hand, then sets it down on the ground.]

How many of those things do you have?

[He raises a plate full with them.]

Enough to last me a while.

That's what I thought.

[And without warning, she tosses the apple she's still holding at the plate just raised.]

Whoa! [He smirks wildly as he ducks and somehow manages to pull himself and the plate out of the fruit's trajectory without losing more than half of the fruit on the plate.]

Nice try. But I'm a thief, you know? Getting me to drop what I've once taken takes a little more than that~ [Cue for an incoming pomegranate!]

[Oh dear. Had he forgotten about the apple she had placed on the ground? That one had been picked up and tossed--aiming once again for the plate.

However, the pomegranate is another story, not to mention an unfamiliar fruit, and this time, she barely manages to catch it before it hits her.]

What kind of fruit is this?

[He stabilizes the content of the plate with his second hand to keep it from falling completely but proceeds to give her a puzzled look at her question.]

That? You don't know what a pomegranate is?

[ninjainviolet]

[Her eyes widen in recognition.]

Is that what one looks like? I've heard of them and had the fruit, but I've never seen one.

[She looks closely at it.]

Then again, it looks like an apple, so maybe I have, but didn't know it.

[Bakura shrugs his shoulders.]

I guess it counts as an exotic fruit in a place like this. People love to tell stories about it but in the end it's just a simple fruit.

[He picks another one from his plate and tears it open to reveal the fleshy interior with the crimson seeds. Scooping some of them up with two finders and putting them into his mouth, he smirks.] See?

[She nods when he opens his fruit.]

Yeah! That's exactly what I had!

[She looks at her own.]

Who knew there could be so many of them in one of these?

[He raises an eyebrow. Bakura would be lying if he said that he's currently seeing the logic in Sheena's sudden change of interest.]

Why is that that special to you? It's just a fruit.

[She looks at him, her expression serious.]

You don't realize how significant this is? It's a fruit I've had. On my home world. [She looks at the fruit again.] It's just more proof of how more alike than different we all are.

[He gives the fruit in his hand a last look before he shrugs his shoulders again, dismissing it.]

Having things overlap in different worlds is not actually that strange. I've seen it a few times. [Catching himself he wonders where that last sentence has come from.]
