Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 27th.

[She shakes her head] I do not, but not for lack of trying. I've resonated well enough with some people, but either they already had partners, weren't looking to establish a partnership, or it wasn't quite good enough to warrant one.

[redregrets]

That sucks. Everyone who's looking to go on missions with me has a partner already, but I don't really give a shit as long as I get involved. You don't really need a partner, as long as you have someone you can resonate with.

[scribes]

That's true. [She had gone on one not so recently, in fact. It...could have gone better.]

How about yourself? Have you had any chances to resonate with someone since you learned to change?

[redregrets]

I have actually. I was over in the advanced area earlier, just to watch, you know, and I found this fucking wolf meister. Well, she's not really a wolf, but she looks like one. She was pretty cool. _{[And also really powerful, which was kind of a trip for Karkat, seeing as this was his first time resonating.]}

[scribes]

That must be Amaterasu. Oh she's such a sweetie, she's a good friend of mine. Did it work well between you? [Oh they could be good partners, Di couldn't help but think. Ammy was such a caring individual, they could complement each other well.]

[redregrets]

It figures you two know each other. _{[Cat girl and wolf girl. It makes sense they're friends, at least in his mind.]} Yeah, actually. I kind of wasn't expecting it to, but she was...really nice. _{[He was pretty nervous about his first resonation, so it was nice having someone so supportive walk him through the process.]}

[scribes]

The's good. Resonating it always a strange experience at first, and you always want to be careful about it. But it can also be very reassuring. [She remembered when she and Psii first resonated, and thought it made them understand one another even more.

She looked at Karkat thoughtfully]

Would you like to see how we fare?

[redregrets]

Us? _{[He's surprised by the suggestion, but honestly, why the fuck not? He's been waiting so long to transform, he might as well get his fill today.]} Sure. Do you know how to use a sickle?

[scribes]

I have never used one before, but it never hurts to learn something new. [Sickle seemed an interesting choice, but she was pretty sure she could get a good handle on it fairly quickly]

[redregrets]

I've been fighting with sickles forever, so I could probably walk you through some techniques if you get stuck. _{[He's a little weirded out that his ancestor's...special partner is going to see his soul. He has to wonder if she's seen Signless' soul somehow, even if they're both meisters. He wants to know just how different their souls are, exactly. It's kind of a stupid train of thought, so he shakes his head to clear it from his thinkpan.]} Okay, fucking catch me, alright? _{[He closes his eyes, and his brows furrow together a little, but in the next second, there's a bright light, and there's a sickle arching up and then falling towards Di's hand.]}

[Di catches him with ease, and simply holds him for a while, getting accustomed to the feeling of their resonating. While not in theory, it's still rather strange how different it feels when she resonates with someone new.

On her end things don't feel too bad. It's not the best resonation she has had, but that is likely in part because of how little she and Karkat know one another. Still, it's comfortable. No burning sensation, not do he feel heavy in her hands. She doesn't seek him out just yet, no wanting to make him uncomfortable.]

Does everything feel alright?

[redregrets]

Yeah. Thank god. Amaterasu told me about Soul Rejection, and it sounds fucking awful, so I'm glad I didn't subject you to that. _{[He's transformed a couple times today already, so he's feeling a lot more comfortable in this form than he was before.]} Are you ready to kick some serious ass? _{[Because he is.]}

[scribes]

You bet I'm ready. [She gave a practice swing, then a jab, moving around. The weapon itself feels a little strange. Di is much more accustomed to working with just her fists or a spear, but it isn't too bad. She's certain with enough practice it'll feel perfectly fine.]

[redregrets]

_{[Huh. Disciple's got some spunk. He approves. He doesn't know all that much about her, besides knowing she's got to be fairly similar to Nepeta. This is going to be interesting. Despite the fact that she's never fought with a sickle before, she isn't bad.]} Cool huh? Sickles are so fucking badass.
