Characters: The Watch & OPEN to everyone
Location: Death City
Time: May 10th-13th
Rating: PG-13 for now
Warnings: Potential violence
Summary: The city is in chaos and the Watch is trying to do their job, but it's a little more than they can handle on their own.
The civilians have taken to the streets in a formal march of protest, holding signs both insulting and critical; some simply vulgar while others call for action- for change. They come from everywhere and don't stop until they reach Shibusen's stairs to rally with a growing mob of protesters. Shibusen agents gifted with Calming Wavelength stand by to allow attempts at mediation, but while they aren't violent, the protesters remain unyielding in their convictions.
In other parts of the city, trouble-makers work tirelessly to disrupt or sabotage businesses, paint graffiti over any untouched wall of known guest establishments, and harass the unusual-looking passerby. Don't go out alone, or you might find yourself cornered by these troublemakers with unpredictable temperaments.
The Watch is on the move in every district, working to protect its citizens and try their hand at peacemaking, but they're stretched pretty thin...

"Well... it's something almost magic, really. I can make it appear and disappear as I please. But it is definitely a part of me. When it is out, it is clearly a part of my body. I guess in a way, it's more of a mutation."
He sighed and took another sip of his soda.
"It's complicated."

However, instead of seeming not to accept the short explanation, Kotetsu just shook his head, a slight grin on his face. "But I guess for this, it works. Not like I haven't ever used it before myself."
no subject
"So, what have you dismissed as complicated?"
It felt like a good time to turn the conversation towards his new acquaintance.

"Though I guess if I wanted to start off with something easy, I'd say my job. That is, explaining what my job back home is to people around here in the city."

Even though he'd had a few opportunities to announce his technical job status as that of a hero, Kotetsu would never get used to merely mentioning it every chance he got, because he wasn't supposed to. Being a hero was supposed to be different than being Kaburagi Kotetsu, but in Death City, they were now both one in the same. Just, making that information voluntarily public was not what he enjoyed.

"At least I tried to explain what this wing was before dismissing it as complicated. I thought you'd return the favor."
no subject
"Alright, I'll give you the short version. Think police officer. Just way cooler."

"You're gonna get me to come right out with it eventually, aren't you? Well too bad, not happening. I'm just sayin' that I protect people. How about that?"

Genesis grins at Kotetsu then.
"Well, now you know what I used to be before I came here."
