[OPEN] Love Shack
Characters: OPEN
Location: Nocturne Bazaar
Rating: Gen… Maybe. Don't do anything you wouldn't tell your mother about!
Time: April 3rd, April 4th
Description: The "attraction" was quite the hit last time. Who will you find yourself shacked up with now?
The island the Bazaar sits on is certainly big, but who thought they'd be able to fit an entire river on top of it? The line for the ride is just as large as you'd think it'd be, and it's been split in two with a tall screen to prevent people in both sides from seeing the other.
The staffers operating the line don't seem to care about making it grow; they're literally pulling people unlucky enough to wander too close and shoving them in a line before they can protest. You could try to get away, but the rest of the crowd's pushing impatiently forward and before long, you're up.
You might as well just get it over with. Hopefully the company's nice.
((ooc; this log takes place over both the first day and the second day. please use the subject line indicator [ NAME | DATE | OPEN/CLOSED ] and keep in mind that during the second day, characters will likely be under the effects of growing madness!))

Yuri? [ She raised an eyebrow, apparently that was her form of surprise. She had lost him in the crowds earlier, but now he just suddenly was right there? .. Man, this was a really weird coincidence, and she wasn't sure what to think of it at all, but then again.. it was better than getting stuck with a stranger, right? ]
So this is where you went off to? [ not like it was his fault or anything that they got seperated, but still.. ]
no subject
That was mean of you to just leave me back there like that. I missed you.
no subject
Oh yeah, I go on these all the time. [ The deadpan was strong in her voice, almost slightly annoyed too. ] Besides, I was under the impression that you were the one who left me back there. You know, like how parents leave their kids to play in the ball pit while they shop.

So, forgive me my wonderful partner from the land of technology but...what's this ride anyway? Love Shack doesn't sound like anything...decent.

What kind of word was that meant to be, using it in a context like this?! What did he think people did in this sort of thing-- oh god, he better not be getting the wrong idea, what exactly was he thinking right now?!
Okay, Ange, deep breaths, deep breaths.. ]
You just sit in a boat as then it's moved over a river through a tunnel. [ There was something almost oddly forced about the way she said it though.. ] It's supposed to be.. well, romantic or whatever.
no subject
So you're gonna try to kiss me or something, huh?
no subject
At this rate it's more likely I'll push you out the boat.
[ And with a (somewhat embarassed frown) she moved to step into the boat instead - no way out now, either way.. ]
no subject
Wouldn't it be funny if something just came out and bit your hand?
no subject
Really funny. I've always wanted to lose my hand in a tragic love tunnel incident.
no subject
Don't make any sudden movements. I can't see a thing in here. Is this really supposed to be romantic? [ Granted, his eyes were adjusting, a little. He moved his hand, trying to find where she was, his hand lightly touching hers. ] Wouldn't want you falling out of the boat.
no subject
[ She stopped mid-sentence as she suddenly felt something on her hand, before realising that it was his hand. Geez, what was he thinking..
.. Not that she was pulling away though. ]
no subject
Good that you at least know more than I do about this whole thing.
no subject
It's not like I know a whole lot about it, I've only heard people talking about it before. A ride like this isn't my kind of thing at all. [ And yet it wasn't like she was annoyed right now, and she wasn't exactly not enjoying it.. ] You should have realised that already.
no subject
I could just take a nap. They should call this Dream Shack or something.
no subject
[ There was a pause from her, and when she went on her voice was a little less harsh. ]
Besides, you dragged me to this carnival to begin with. Show a little responsibility.
no subject
[ Though it was true, he did drag her here. Guess it was up to him to make it a little fun. ]
Let's a play a game, then.
no subject
Little did Yuri know that to a Ushiromiya taking them on a ride is the same as marrying them..]... A game? [ Suddenly she started to regret saying that to begin with.. ] That makes it sound like we're little kids. What kind of game were you even thinking of?
no subject
Ever thumb wrestled before?
no subject
What's that supposed to be? There's no way you could wrestle with only your thumb, right?
[ why yes, she's socially deprived. ]
no subject
...You're not serious, are you, Ange?
no subject
[ It's not really miffed, but it's a little close to it. It almost feels like she's being made fun of here.. ]
It's not that weird that I don't know what it is, right? Maybe it's some sort of game that they only play in your world.
no subject
Alright. [ He turned in his seat to face her, grasping her right hand with his own, so that their fingers curled around together. He kept his thumb up. ]
Alright, put your thumb up.
no subject
So, what now?
no subject
1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a thumb war. Now we try to pin each other's thumbs down, but without moving our hands or arms.
