How did I do?

Sorry Kaede! Anything less than a fatality doesn't count! ]

Holy-! Wow! Kaede! I didn't know you had that much strength in you. [ That was quite a distance! ]
no subject
I kind of panicked a little... so I just forgot to block you.

And sure, if you want! Get ready! [ She goes over to prepare another dummy. ]
no subject
Okay! Ready when you are. [She holds the sword out in front of her.]
no subject
Okay! Here we go! [ Another takes a leap towards Kaede. It twirls its right leg towards her, preparing it into a kick. ]
no subject
[She let's out a small battle cry, attempting a horizontal slice around the waist.]
no subject
[ It doesn't cut all the way through, but it leaves a big, deep gash. ]
All right, Kaede! First tip! Never jump to avoid attacks unless you have a way to attack from mid-air, or if the attack is coming from underground. While you're landing, you can't switch positions or move. So, you should try to attack from mid-air when they're coming for you. You should always avoid jumping in the air unless as a last resort. If someone jumps in mid air, go for it. They can't dodge so use it to inflict a big attack.
no subject
Nope, not at all. Although I've won some figure skating competitions by myself!
[She listens to Tenten intently; it all makes sense but she has to raise one question regarding the techniques.]
So what am I suppose to do to avoid an attack? [She didn't have her fathers power to make himself extra durable.]
no subject
You anticipate and evade. By recognizing attack patterns and which direction they're going, you can dodge an attack just by recognizing where it's going and get out of the way. This skill usually builds with experience but I can teach you some basic stances swordspeople use and have you evade them, if you want. I already taught a girl named Chika how to evade.
no subject
[She faintly recalls that name before, but doesn't seem to remember specifics.] So we're gonna focus on that now? I'm ready when you are.
no subject
[ She nods. ] Yes. It's important to know which way a person will swing by wrist position and sword elevation. [ She moves into a basic stance. She holds the sword in front of her with two hands on her handle. ] This is the basic stance, replicate it, please.
no subject
[Oh that was easy, she just simply mirrored what Tenten was doing.] Like this?
