Morning Training

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on March 29th.

Soul Perception: If someone wants to find out more about their soul, what they are, and what they may potentially do. Overseen by Hades.
Partner Training: Guidance on how to work as partners. Taught by Spirit Albarn; Eve and Keroro
Weapons Handling Training: How to handle weapons and Weapons. Taught by Death the Kid with Liz and Patty.
Shooting Range: How to shoot. Taught by Naoto Shirogane, Maes Hughes.
Meister Ability Helpers: Learning what your meister ability is and how to use it. Taught by Kanji Tatsumi, Miles Edgeworth.
Finding a Partner: An area for unpartnered Weapons and Meisters to mingle in. Overseen by
Meditation: This month's novelty class is on focus and meditating. Taught by Hyuuga Neji.
Medics: A place for the medics to linger, recruit, and help anyone that's gotten hurt. Helping out are CR-S01, Rosalia Rossellini.
Watch: A place for the watch members to linger, recruit, and train. Interested observers welcome!
SEES: A place for the SEES members linger, recruit, and relax.
Hug Brigade: Offering encouragement through hugs. Staffed by Maes Hughes, Maito Gai.

He shakes his head.]

Only if you care about calling me the Spirit of the Ring or several variations of Thief all the time. For which I frankly don't care.

Not that different from just calling you "that jerk," something like that...

[[Falls unhappily quiet]] I'll think of something...

Should I be worried then?

[Yuugi has known--or at the very least, highly suspected--for a while now that the two Bakura interact a good deal more than his friend ever let on, but that didn't prepare him to spot them together this morning.

Arguing. Bakura, arguing. It's so confounding that he doesn't approach immediately; he has to stare for a minute or two and make sure his eyes aren't deceiving him. Apparently they aren't.]

Bakura-kun!

[He finally just calls the other boy's name, announcing his presence somewhat out of a protective instinct because, well, it was Bakura. And the other Bakura. And the other Bakura was indeed, as the real Bakura had called him before, kind of a jerk.]

[[Bakura freezes, looking ever inch like someone who'd gotten caught doing something he wasn't supposed to.

Oh crap.]]

Yu-- Yuugi-kun...

[[Craaaaaaaap]]

[Unlike his counterpart the 'other' Bakura doesn't seem surprised to have Yuugi suddenly call out to them at all. Turning around, he greets him with a smile and a derpy]

Yuugi-kun! Hi!

[before his expression switches into a sharp smirk and his voice drops to its usual calm and dangerous drawl.]

We almost didn't notice you being here as well. How are you doing?

[That little bit of acting does not impress him, bothers him a great deal, in fact, but he bites his tongue.]

I'm fine. You know that already... [It wasn't too much earlier in the morning that the other Bakura had helped Yuugi transform, after all.

He turns his attention to the 'real' Bakura, his friend, who looks so guilty that Yuugi almost feels bad for drawing his attention. Obviously he didn't want Yuugi knowing certain things about him and the spirit of the Ring--that they were on speaking terms. That they'd partnered up for missions in the past. Those kinds of things. Those things Yuugi already knew.]

Uh... Bakura-kun, do you want to go somewhere?

[All he can do is create this lame attempt to rescue Bakura from dealing with the spirit of the Ring. Though considering the way Bakura was arguing earlier, maybe he didn't even need it...]

...so I somehow swapped to prose. Feel free to continue in action!

If Bakura knew that Yuugi had found those things out already he would have relaxed a great deal. Instead, there was just the growing anxiety of not wanting Yuugi to find out and think badly of him, both for the situation and for lying about it...

Maybe this was a good idea. Just to put some distance between him and the Ring again. What he had wanted to talk about had gone... poorly and they'd just devolved into arguing again, which was the last thing Bakura wanted... especially with Yuugi around...! That sort of argumentative personality that only seemed to emerge when the Ring's Voice was around... he didn't want Yuugi to see that!

He hesitated a moment before nodding. "U-- un... That might be best."

[feelsgoodinyou]

Yep! I think so too! [Nudging his host in the side and practically all but shoving him towards Yuugi without actually doing any outright pushing, he gives Yuugi a wink.]

You can have him, but be careful, he's feeling argumentative again today. Don't say anything you're not willing to repeat at least three more times on other occasions.

[Yuugi is torn; he wants to reassure his friend that it's everything's okay--that really, he understands things are complicated where the other Bakura is concerned.

Like what he's doing right now. Yuugi just gives the spirit a look, a sort of unimpressed, slightly confused, 'why are you doing that?' look. He's not about to believe that Bakura picked a fight with his other self for no reason or anything?]

Right... [Clearly not buying it. He turns his attention back to his friend.] Let's go, then.

[Maybe they can talk about things privately, because it seems like a bad idea to try to have a serious conversation in front of the other Bakura himself.]

[[Bakura glares at his double, argumentative side rising up again before he shuts it down, turning his back on the spirit with almost a huff.

Stupid jerk...

He nods to Yuugi, the tension slowly bleeding out of him as they walk until he just looks tired.]]

[mieru_mienai]

[Yuugi waits until they're a decent distance away from the other Bakura before he speaks up, scratching his cheek awkwardly and not looking at his friend.]

Hey, uh... Don't worry about it, Bakura-kun. About talking to him. [The first thing he wants to do is to deal with that 'crap, I just got caught doing something bad' look that Bakura had on his face when Yuugi walked up to them.] I already knew...

Eh? You did...?

[mieru_mienai]

[Yuugi just nods once, chancing a look over at Bakura again now.]

[shiromadoushi]

How did you know...?

[mieru_mienai]

A guy on the network mentioned you'd partnered with him before... And the other Bakura was at your place the day we played Battaku the first time.

[There's no judgment in Yuugi's tone, if anything he still sounds a little embarrassed that he himself never confronted this issue before now.]

[shiromadoushi]

[[A guy on the network...? Ryuzaki, maybe? But no, Yuugi would have said his name... who else would...]]

Eh? You could tell it was him...? But...

[[he sighed softly, shoulders slumping]] I didn't want you to have to worry about that...

[mieru_mienai]

[Actually he'd said his name was Mello. Yuugi probably should have specified that.]

I didn't know right away, but...

[He trails off, then shakes his head slightly.]

It's okay. [Really, he doesn't want Bakura to feel like he did something bad. Even if partnering up with the other Bakura is not at all the best idea in the world, at least in Yuugi's opinion.]

[[It wouldn't have mattered either way. Though Bakura would think of Mello eventually, as he was the other person who would have known. A little funny how it was mostly just those two from the same world and similar circumstances who Bakura had felt enough at ease with to explain how things were between the Ring Spirit and his Chosen Host.]]

It isn't okay.... you have enough to worry about here without adding something like that to it all...

[[What sort of poor friend was he, adding to his best friend's troubles so soon after his arrival when he had bigger troubles he was already struggling with...]]
