The templar instead refocused his attention on the prelate as that offer was made. It was a far cry from a question, but disregarding that point, Tassadar found it one that he was more than content to 'answer'.
"It would be an honour." Nodding his head, Tassadar began to move again as he gestured for Zeratul to follow alongside him.

Zeratul nodded in return, also giving the templar a courteous bow. He fell into step alongside his friend, and they started the relatively short walk back to the park. Any other time he would let them fall into silence, but here he was unable to do that. He could speak with Tassadar again, and he wasn't giving that up any time soon.
"Aside from some disagreeable weather, this city seems habitable enough," he mused, looking up towards the upper windows of the surrounding buildings.

That was why he was content to travel in silence as they made their way to the park. Yet it appeared that, for once, Zeratul had no desire for such silence. It was an interesting thought to consider, but he indulged the older male regardless.
"It is rare that such a storm passes through the city," Tassadar offered as they continued on their way. "This world has many different environments scattered across it, however."

"We know very little of Earth, and I wonder if this one is similar to the one in our home," he mused. "If it is not all desert, what else does it offer?"
There were so many planets that were confined to one simple environment, like Aiur with her jungles and oceans. Earth was a real gem if it was one of the few to be so varied. Besides all that, it was a safer topic. Neutral territory was always the best place to start.

"It is possible, however, the Earth that is from our timeline is hundreds of years into the future of this current one. Much could have changed over that time," Tassadar offered. With the way that humans depleted their natural resources, the Earth of their future could be far different than this type indeed. Not that they would ever know the truth behind it.
Pulling himself out of his thoughts, he continued to make his way towards the park as he spoke, "Beyond the desert, they have a multitude of environments, such as jungles, vast forests, and even volcanic areas that are reminiscent of what we once saw on the homeworld for the zerg."

"Very true. Terrans move at a pace we do not, after all," he said. Sometimes they leapt forward very quickly in their achievements, other times they went backwards. Zeratul found it a bit unfortunate that Tassadar had to compare anything to the zerg, so he decided to skip over that locale. "Jungles and forests and deserts. Have you been to any of these places?"
Nevada seemed quite to his liking so far, but the time he'd spent on Aiur in the early days of the war had been just as pleasant. It had felt like coming home in a lot of ways, and he found he enjoyed that heavy atmosphere almost as much as the desert.
They ran naked together, Zeratul... naked ;D
"I have been to a number of them, yes," he said while turning around the corner to continue on their way. Glancing at his companion, he added, "Selendis and I once travelled to a remote area that was surrounded by vast oceans while the land area was nothing but scattered islands of sand and tropical plants. It was rather reminiscent of Aiur herself."
Even if it hadn't held the same beauty as their beloved homeworld.
oh la la~
"I am quite at home in the desert," he said, looking up towards the sky (and pointedly in the opposite direction of the sun). "But I should like to see these places someday soon. I was unaware of how remarkable Earth was."
Zeratul was, of course, still biased towards Shakuras and Aiur, even if he'd spent little time on the latter.
One day they'll go on mission together 8D There should be a OT3 mission!
"It is a planet full of diversity," the templar murmured with a lightness on his tone that hadn't been heard for quite some time. Travelling along the sidewalk, Tassadar wondered if the further aid of Zeratul in this would could help end this war faster. Then they could both return to their duties for Aiur. "I have found that missions are a suitable method in seeing what Earth has to offer."
hell yes there should be
"Indeed? Have you been on many?" He was aware Tassadar hadn't spoken much of his partnership with a Weapon, but he couldn't let this subject go untouched for too long.
Maybe once the Watch stuff calms down we can convince Kerrigan out 8D
"Enough," Tassadar murmured before glancing back over to his friend. "I have been on missions that involve all those who fight, along with those that require only an individual pair. How many, however, perhaps two dozen."
sounds like a date ;)
"You have been to a great many places on this world, then," he said, keeping the topic within safer boundaries.
/o/
Sighting the park up ahead, Tassadar suddenly came to a stop as he peered over at his companion. "There is much that we still need to discuss," he began while watching Zeratul's reaction closely. "But I believe it wise to do so when you deem it appropriate."
no subject
"It is a mutual thing," Zeratul said, stopping to face the templar. "When it is time, we will speak of it."
no subject
"I am certain there is much that you need to discover before that moment," Tassadar answered in return. While he didn't say it, the templar knew that Kerrigan's presence in the city would eventually draw the prelate and the Ghost together. While he wanted to protect her, he knew that Zeratul would never go against his word either.
no subject
"Perhaps this peace will give use the time and the knowledge we need," he said. Doubtful, but he could still hope for some things. At the same time, the sooner conflict arrived, then the sooner they could fight to win, and then go home.
no subject
"Perhaps," Tassadar said in reply before he began heading to the park again. He knew that in order to return to Aiur sooner, he would need to locate himself a new Weapon, but the templar couldn't bring himself to do just that. Which left him unable to fight and feeling oddly lacking giving his position prior to his arrival here.
no subject
Well, not entirely. They had plenty of common ground, and it was foolish to expect things to be like they were during those months. Sometimes it was easy to forget they were being hunted by the zerg, as the companionship he'd found had made it so very worthwhile. This was just going to take time, and he still had a few hundred years left in him yet.
