Description: A bunch of guests set out to find the legendary sword, not knowing what's in store.



[ The terrain is rocky and uneven and the trek is no easy task. Even when the goal's in sight, it's still far away because according to the book -- just up this cliff is Excalibur's cave. Looks like some teamwork might be needed to get up there. Not everyone can have a cool, floaty skateboard like Death the Kid. ]



(OOC: This log will be divided into two parts. The exploration, which is this log, and the actual encounter with Excalibur. I'll be making some subthreads for chambers to explore, but feel free to make your own threads and mingle! If you can dream it and it's annoying enough, Excalibur probably has it in his cave.)

[ A nod in agreement. They wouldn't simply just... allow people to walk right up to the strongest weapon around... right?

Mithos carefully watched as she took a small step forward. Nope. Nothing yet. Mithos' turn as he proceeded after Anise, taking a few small steps out. ]

So...anything you see that didn't seem right? [She mumbled to his ear before taking another small step forward. She didn't want to talk loudly and spark off any traps]

[willnotdespair]

[ Mithos takes a small glance around before shaking his head ] No... Everything looks... normal. [ Though really, this calmness and the lack of traps doesn't seem right in itself. With that he took another small step forward himself before whispering back to Anise. ] Do you see anything?

[tokunagas]

No, I don't see anything either. [She looks around the cave once more from her location]

That's odd, if this was the legendary sword, shouldn't there be something? Or is there something we can't see?

[willnotdespair]

[ Mithos nods his head slightly at the question ]

There could still be something once we get closer to the middle. Let's continue to proceed with caution just in case.

[tokunagas]

[As she does so, she takes a look behind him to see if he was behind her. In the meantime, there was a question she wanted to ask]

Hey, Mithos, can I ask you something? [Pause. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. Was she willing to talk about it and in a place like this? Or rather was he comfortable with talking about it?] ...Actually nevermind, I just remembered what the answer was!

[willnotdespair]

[ Mithos looked at Anise with a questioning look. He didn't say or ask before she took it back and said that she had remembered but... what that really what the pause was for. ]

... All right. But, is there anything else you want to ask?

[ There is one thing that he was wondering himself. Was she going to bring it up or was it going to be up to him to try? ]

[Was she really the one who was going to bring it up? Did he even want to talk about it?]

Not unless you want to talk about it. [She mumbled to him. She didn't want to make this more awkward than it already is but she knew it had to be something they needed to talk about]

[willnotdespair]

[ Mithos didn't say anything for a moment after Anise's response. This... was something that neither of them probably didn't want to talk about but it wasn't something you can easily just shove aside and completely forget. ]

... We should talk about it. It... It's not something that we can just pretend that happened.

[ Because it did. And even if they pretend it didn't happen it'll be there in the past. ]

[There was a pause coming from Anise. How should she start?]

...Are you still mad at me for what happened? [More importantly, does he forgive her? She wasn't going to ask that right away of course, she just wanted to see how Mithos would respond to her question]

[willnotdespair]

[ Mithos glanced off to the side away from Anise. There was a small moment of silence before he spoke. ]

... No. It.. wasn't your fault. It would be cruel of me. But... I would be lying if I said that I was completely over it. [ Neither of them were completely themselves but it doesn't mean that he was still hurt over it. Not after what he went through in the past. ]

[tokunagas]

I guess apologizing won't help will it? Because I really am sorry.

[She bit her lip before continuing on]

I...I'm not sure what I can do to move on from what happened.

[willnotdespair]

[ Another silence before he replies. ]

... The best thing you can do is to continue to be yourself. The person who I spend the day with the day after I arrived. When... When she wasn't there it really hurt. I-I don't want to feel that again.

[tokunagas]

Then it's a promise, I won't ever do that again! [There was a small mumble]

At least I hope not. I'm worried what would happen if I tried to do something like this again...

[willnotdespair]

I... don't know what would happen either. [ A small smile ] But, you promise. As long as you keep your promise then we don't have to worry about it, right?

[tokunagas]

I hope not...

I...I just don't want to hurt you again.

[willnotdespair]

... It's okay. I'm just... I'm just glad that you didn't mean to. That you didn't do it on purpose.

[tokunagas]

Are you sure? There's not anything at all I could do?

[Because her guilt just won't go away]

[ Mithos thought about this for a moment before smiling lightly. ]

You're... a meister, right? M-Maybe we can try to resonate? I'm not sure how much it'll help but if we resonate then... it's a good thing, right?

[tokunagas]

Yeah but I never found out what my ability was. [But she's hoping she can find out soon. Although the only other person she resonated with was Jade...]

But it couldn't hurt to try, so why not?

I'm not sure how much my weapon form can help but... I'm ready when you are.

[ He's resonated with one other person and he really hopes he can resonate with Anise just as well. Especially considering the circumstances behind this attempt. ]

Well, I'm use to using a staff but...it doesn't mean that I won't try. [And there was that one point where she found out she failed at using swords...]

What is your weapon form anyway?

I.. I see. [ Well not like he would expect anyone to be used to the weapon form he is considering.. ]

I-I'm... a panpipe.

[Well, that's certainly new]

Have you figured out what your abilities are? [Because if it's mostly defensive, she might have to get use to a different fighting style...]

Hrm... kind of. I know that I can be played as both offensive or supportive depending on the notes you play. [ If he remembers correctly half of them should be supportive and the other half offensive. ]
