Phase 3: Mission 153
Characters: Grand Canyon mission goers, victims, medics
Location: Grand Canyon
Rating: R
Time: Feb 5, 2009, mission starts at dawn
Description: Event links list.
The scouts had done their jobs well and the mirror deposits its travelers just at the end of the area Shibusen has closed off as their mission target. It's still dawn, the sun barely visible over the horizon. The witches hasn't noticed them there yet, the scouts say, so it's still possible to take them by surprise.
This is what the agents are told: In the rock face of the Grand Canyon is a cavern system made up of many small caves and three large ones. The large caves contain a kishin egg pit, the kidnapped agents and civilians, and what appears to be a machine at one end. There are about five dozen zombies crawling the area, and an equal number of ants, spiders, and ravens on top of it.
Worst of all, the scouts report that they had sighted a few of the agents patrolling for the Witches. The scouts hadn't been certain if these ones had soul perception or other abilities, and had given the area as much space as they could in order to avoid an early confrontation. Still, it's bad news and it looks like a fight with some of the kidnappees themselves is inevitable.
Not much time is given to the agents after the briefing before they're being ushered into place. A few scouts are going to be causing a commotion some distance away to distract the familiars and zombies, clearing a path for the agents. After that, it's all up to them.
[ooc: Just put up your own threads with the subject line [Characters][Feeding Cave/MMM Cave/Kishin Egg Pit/Elsewhere][Open/Close]
Kidnappees can go thread in the caves while waiting for the rescuers, too.
For those who want to thread with a witch, please add it in the subject line so we know where to go!
This day change will be one week irl.
The mirror will stay open for anyone who needs to be rushed back to the medics.
For those handwaving, please put your summaries here for the meister points and soul tally record.]

Sorry for delay - comic con weekend >.>
He decided to get the game started.
"You can't win," he called out casually to them, flicking a hand through his hair. "However, if you want me to soak the ground in your blood, feel free to come closer. Or I may just decide to hunt you all down while you're fleeing."
He spread his arms mockingly, a smirk across his face. "Which dice will you roll?"
COMIC CON! Also...RAW is on so...i maybe slow :|
Mushu looked over at Tem, "Well, looks like we get a choice 'bout that."

Toph shifted her feet, causing the ground underneath Hisoka to become a little weaker as well as putting some slight dips in the ground around his feet to trip him up.
"Blow 'im away."

He quickly drew in his breath, his ribs shown on relief against his scales, before aiming straight at the man, and letting it rip at a quarter of the strength. He was careful enough to have stepped in front and to the side of Toph, because he didn't want her ears to be hurt much from the pressure of the Divine Wind.
That the man would be pushed back with a great force was not out of the question. How far back a distance was the question...

Hisoka watched the larger dragon inhale, expecting a burst of flame. Instead, it looked like a wind tunnel was heading straight at him. Interesting. Hisoka didn't have his cards or abilities to cut the wind like he would have done in his own world. Instead, he had one choice.
He dropped to lie flat on the ground, using the cracks the girl had created in the earth to hold on as the wind rushed over him. The pressure was enough to burst one of his eardrums, and he was showered with dirt, sand and small rocks. If he'd been closer, the wind would likely have thrown him backwards before he had a chance to react.
Before the wind had a chance to completely die down, Hisoka was up and sprinting swiftly towards the trio. If they wanted to play this game, Hisoka was more than willing to accommodate them.
Approaching the large dragon first, he slid into a crouch, leveling a round house kick at one of the dragon's forelegs.

"HEADS UP, DRAGON BOY! Incomin', straight ahead!" He watched Hisoka come closer, while he was not as big as Tem. Mushu had found his uses in the army.
"Watch ya sides and legs man....guy don't look happy." OF course once Hisoka was in close he ducked back down out of habit, his eyes still on the redhead.

Unless the guy had a mallet or something.

If the man truly did intend to go through with attacking where his forelimbs were at, he would have a bit of surprise for himself. Slashing someone with talons while at war was acceptable, he tried to momentarily rationalize to himself, for he was aiming to do him harm.
If there were a way that the man could surprise them, as he did when he tried to aim his Divine Wind in his direction, Temeraire did not know what it could be.
All he knew was that he was going to have to act quickly.
Sorry for delay - I've been sick ><
His foot slammed into the wall of dirt, smashing through and causing large chucks to fly back towards the trio. But the wall had taken most of the power out of his kick, so using the confusion of the flying rocks to hide his next move, he followed the kick with a quick punch, aiming this time for the girl.
