Maybe, maybe not.

Characters: Lucy & Sougo.
Location: Casualty Communal, Lucy's room.
Rating: PG-PG-13 for S&M.
Time: After Sougo's network post/demand here.
Description: So he's going on a mission and though she's filled to the brim with mixed feelings, she wants to send him off with a smile ... and cocoa.

Lucy placed two cups of hot cocoa down on the table, blowing on the tips of her fingers to get rid of the heat that was left clinging to them. Heading towards the fridge, she pulled out some whipped cream, absent-mindedly placing them on the counter next to the cups before closing the fridge with her foot. “So I only need to add this…” and she scanned the room momentarily, before the sprinkles came within sight, “and that!”

She skipped over towards it, quickly taking it from the table and sparing a glance towards the clock feature on her communicator. Thinking it was about time, she made her way back to the kitchen, sprinkles in hand and completely ready to add the finishing touches.

Sougo did say she was the best at it (actually, he just said he did it better, but skewing one or two facts didn’t hurt, right), after all and she wasn’t going to disappoint.

Sougo didn't like all these stairs here at Death City. Between the main set leading up to Shibusen and then the stairs between the floors. But he supposed that cocoa was well worth it. And although it would have been much better for him to have Lucy deliver it (and he probably could have manipulated her into it, too) he decided to let her off with just having to make it.

So he casually strolled to Lucy's room, knocking a few times on the door. "Shinsengumi. Open up."

"You sure took long enough to open the door. It's impolite to keep a policeman waiting." The answer to her question? Was no. He couldn't. Sougo was in partial uniform today, having left his jacket and cravat back at his room, but in place he had the scarf she had given him wrapped around his neck. For no reason other than the fact that he was cold, he would claim...which wasn't exactly a lie. It was particularly freezing in the desert that day.

Sougo headed inside with a passing pat on her head like she was a good and loyal puppy who had greeted him at the door and brought him his slippers. Then, he slipped off his shoes, "Is it ready?"

"Just expected of Lucy. And that's why I let you take care of it," he followed behind until they reached the kitchen where the cocoa sat waiting for him. He did notice the extra blue sprinkles and wondered if she had spent all that time just picking them out individually. And she claimed she wasn't an M.

He shook his head in slight amusement, accepting the cocoa before tilting it up to his lips to draw in a sip, whipped cream winding up all over his nose in the process. He lowered the mug, "I guess it's okay. Could use a little more cocoa. Oh. And blue sprinkles."

All of this said with a straight face while he wore the whipped cream, not even bothering to remove it.

He looked down at the offered napkin before stepping closer to her. His hand began to lift, only to take a detour to his cup and scoop up some whipped cream with his finger, reaching out to dab her nose with it. And then he playfully smeared the rest across her cheeks before bringing the finger to his mouth and lapping off the excess.

Sougo looked Lucy over and then nodded his approval of his 'art.' "I told you before..." he said easily. "I'm always serious." And although his words were fairly emotionless as usual, there was the slighest hint of amusement behind them.

When she wound up with the whipped cream on her nose again, Sougo just had to bite back a sound that almost sounded like a laugh. Almost. "You're pretty hopeless, aren't you? Can't even drink cocoa without making a mess everywhere. I'm surprised you can even eat in public. I really should get you a bib for Christmas..." he walked over to where she kept her napkins, finally removing the cream from his own nose before dropping it in the garbage.

Then, he took it upon himself to have a seat at the kitchen table, plopping down into the chair unceremoniously and setting the cocoa in front of himself. He leaned forward just to bite a mouthful of cream off the top and make a pretty sizable dent in the whipped cream mountain -- at least enough so that he could drink it without getting it everywhere. And the best part always was when most of the cream melted into the cocoa and made it so rich and frothy.

Sougo looked over at her thoughtfully then studied his frothy cocoa before responding, "I came by to see you." An awkward pause. "Before I go." Another awkward pause. "Since it might be a while." Or...permanently if things went bad. His eyes flickered toward her again to take in her reaction to the words before he did what he usually did and offered an insult so that anything nice or touching that may have come out of his mouth was instantly negated.

"After all, you're pretty fun to make fun of. You always get so loud and make the best faces. It's almost as entertaining as Hijikata-san. I won't have either of you there to kill the boredom..." there was a thoughtful pause. "But I think Katsura's going so I can always target him. Ah. And by the way, Lucy -- I won our little bet."

Sougo leaned back, looking toward her casually, "So I expect you to be ready to greet me when I get back in your full M costume and collar." He fished in his pocket and pulled out a magizine page that he'd ripped out. There was a large cicle around something similar to this (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mOuIi2Zj_nc/Tc3dfSQ2ilI/AAAAAAAAAFY/cdd_lT-8p2g/s1600/anime+girl+wallpaper+swim+suit+bikini+lucy+heartfilia+fairy+tail.jpg). The page was offered in her direction. "You can order the size that's most comfortable for you. But for that whole day, you belong to me and there's no getting out of it either."

He brought his cup to his lips and sipped the beverage as though this was completely casual conversation -- even normal. "Fortunately, you're an M so you'll probably enjoy yourself anyway."

[identity profile] sadoslash.livejournal.com 2011-09-29 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Sougo didn't make any moves to take the page back. As a matter of fact, he held his arms around in a clear avoidance of this. "I think you missed the part where you don't have much of a choice. Slave for a day -- do I have to remind you of what that entails? You should feel happy that I'm being generous enough to wait until after we get back. I could make you mine today..."

He flashed her a brief smirk over the brim of his cup.

"Right," he gave a simple nod, bringing his arm up to rest on the back of the chair. "Don't worry, I won't make you do anything weird." Though his definition of weird and normal society's may have differed....greatly. After all, Sougo thought it was completely normal to escort his date on a leash. He polished off his drink before setting it down on the table.

"Thanks for the cocoa."

There was a small quirk of his lips after her offer. She really was a nice girl -- a nice, easily manipulated girl. And to be honest, Sougo wasn't used to having that in his life. Mostly the girls were spineless or....Kagura. Or his sister. And Lucy seemed to have a lot of his sister's traits which made him attach himself to her...but at the same time her own differences that attracted him as well. Idly, he wondered if he was using her as a grieving tool to get over Mitsuba's death.

He approached Lucy, standing in front of her. This was goodbye for a little while, right? And he didn't know what to say. He'd walked over with the intention of hugging her, but now that he got there it seemed a bit awkward. This wasn't in the context of their date. No holiday magic or festival festivities were in the works to propel actions forward -- so Sougo was stuck.

He reached upward -- giving her a little ruffle to her hair (good M, good M), "I'm counting on it. Don't disappoint me, alright?"

"You better be pretty loud. Europe's far away. I'll have a hard time hearing you otherwise." He shoved his hand in the pocket of his slacks, abandoning the idea of the hug. Things were easier like this. Less complicated, anyway. Sougo turned away from her.

"But your default is pretty loud -- so imagine how much more noisy you can be if you actually try," he had faith in her to withhold her end as well. He didn't turn back around, simply offered a single handed wave before making his way to the door.
