Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on March 14th.

Obito stood on the sidelines, his digital camera cradled in his hands. He wasn't sure how acceptable it was to take pictures of people while they trained, but he wasn't planning on posting them anywhere for people to see. He was no professional, and he tried to look as nonchalant as possible.

Obito was hoping to get some pictures of his friends, but so far he had been a little too shy to ask them outright to pose for him. Candid shots would work just as well. He just didn't want too many awkward questions. That would just be too embarrassing!

He had every intention of sneaking up on Obito - but as he neared (quietly of course) and spotted that thing in his hand he thought twice.

Curious about it, and oblivious to what he was doing, he wandered up behind the younger shinobi prodding him lightly in the shoulder before appearing at his side.

"What've you got there?"

Since Naruto hadn't really gone on full stealth mode, Obito wasn't as surprised as he might have been when someone tapped him on his shoulder. Turning, Obito found himself smiling at the sight of Naruto. He hefted the camera a bit in his hands.

"It's a camera. I thought I'd take some pictures."

His eyes dropped straight to the camera in Obito's hands, reaching out to prod it. "Where'd you get it from? Thought those things were like kinda expensive and stuff?"

"Bought it." Obito shrugged. "I don't have to spend a lot of money on food. Gai and Kakashi are taking care of most of that and the apartment. So..."

He felt a little big of heat rise to his cheeks. It wasn't like he was bragging or anything, but he still felt a little ashamed to mention all his work money was going to luxury items.

"Oh. Wow, hey that's kinda cool."

His grin stuck, and he reached out to touch the top of it, pulling it forward to stare at the screen.

"You gonna take pictures or everyone trainin' and stuff?" It sounded like fun, just like with their genin teams.

Naruto didn't seem intent on judging him for mooching off his friend, though Obito felt maybe he deserved it. He wasn't contributing much to their household at all, save for the occasional trip to take the dogs on a walk. He needed to start making more of an effort to give back to them.

Obito tensed a little, worried that the rough handling might break it. Hopefully Naruto could be just a little gentler....

"I was thinking about that, yeah," Obito admitted. He gave Naruto a tentative smile. "Want me to take a picture of you?"

Judging his friends wasn't really his forte. Sometimes the things they did were certainly odd, but he'd learnt a long time ago that people made the worst assumptions about others. He hadn't even given it any thought that Obito was being looked after in such a way by Kakashi and Gai.

"Really!? That'd be awesome! We could even..." The thought seemed to dwindle for a moment, and he gently pushed the camera back into Obito's hand, looking around across the training ground.

"I should find Sakura-chan! We could get a photo together!?"

Obito's eyebrows raised and his heart lightened a bit at hearing that Naruto was interested in a picture. But the older shinobi seemed to have something in mind, so the Uchiha waited to see what Naruto had in mind.

Hearing the blond was interested in a picture with Sakura brightened Obito even more. "Oh, yeah! That would be a great shot! You're teammates, after all!"

In fact... "Maybe you two could come by sometime, so I could get you both with Kakashi, too. But we can get one of just you and Sakura here."

Obito's lack of interjection put him in a class well above Sasuke-- as far as patience went at least, because talk of getting a photo made him think of both Sasuke and Sai simultaneously.

He managed to smile despite the reminder, stopping to look back at him with that same old grin. "Well, I reckon me an' Sakura-chan are partners now, too. It would be cool t'get a photo with Kakashi-sensei too though."

Another glance, and he pondered quietly, before continuing with his thoughts. "Hey, can you take pictures of yourself with that?"

Obito's brows shot up. "You're partners now? That's great! Yeah, then a picture together would be really neat!" And one with Kakashi, too...

It took a great effort on Obito's part not to dwell on his old teammate. If Rin was here... But no. He couldn't think about her, or else he'd start crying again.

The last question left Obito a little stumped. He glanced down at the camera, then back up at Naruto. "You mean like, turn it around and try to take a picture of my face? I guess so. Might come out a little crooked, though."

Obito's reaction made him stare, and perhaps turned his cheek a slight shade of pink. Mostly because he didn't know if the guy knew of his long-standing crush on the pink haired nin. "Yeah, yanno - I guess we work well together, 'cause we were on the same team back home?" He muttered, focussing instead on what Obito was talking about, leaning in again - shoulder to shoulder with him.

"Yeah! We could take one of us, right!?" He chirped, taking hold of the camera and pushing it whilst in the safety of Obito's hand so that it was pointing at the both of them. "Like this?"

Obito wasn't aware of Naruto's crush though crushing on teammates was fairly common in his experience. It wouldn't have surprised him to learn about it, and he wouldn't have poked fun (at least not much) at Naruto for it. "Must be nice, having a partner."

Surprised, and quietly pleased by Naruto's suggestion, Obito grinned, hunching against Naruto and strengthening his grip on the camera to hold it steady. "O-okay! Smile!" And he tapped the shutter button, causing a soft click as the camera signaled the taking of their picture.

[Hanabi spots Obito from a distance, and decides to see how long it'll take before he notices her approaching. She meanders through the crowds casually until she's just a few feet away.]

Good morning.

[He's fairly distracted by the crowds, but he does recognize her familiar face. It's only when she greets him that he realizes she was probably heading toward him in the first place.

A slight blush comes over his face, but it's probably not that recognizable under the dirt he has perpetually smeared on his cheeks.]

Morning, Hanabi-san! [He gave her a small wave.] Working hard at training today?

I'm doing my best to, yes.

[She didn't see any point in attending morning training and not working hard unless she had an injury or was sick.]

Have you seen my sister, Obito-kun? I wanted to train with her but I don't know if she's arrived from her Watch shift yet.

Hmm, not that I remember.

[He hadn't been looking, though he generally avoided Hinata if he could. Memories of Valentine's Day still sent red to his face, and this instant was no exception.

He cleared his throat.] Reminds me, I've been wanting to get a picture of all you Hyuuga together sometime.

[Hanabi notes that blush at the mention of Hinata. Does Obito have a crush on her sister? That thought is more distressing than it should be. Hinata is quite pretty and feminine. She's also kind, gentle and encouraging. It's not surprising at all that a boy would be attracted to her. And yet, Hanabi feels a sense of disappointment.

She's silent for a moment before she remembers to answer Obito's statement.]

Oh...ah. I wouldn't mind. Was there anywhere you wanted to take the picture?

[The pause causes Obito to look over, and he notes just the subtlest of discomfort in the girl. He frowns.]

Um... anywhere is fine. At your apartment would work, if you all would rather do it inside and somewhere comfortable.

[He turns a little more towards Hanabi.]

Are you okay, Hanabi-san? You look a little... [Hyuuga were always pale, and it wasn't that she looked sick, either. There was just... something.]

I think outside might be nice, if you took pictures in the park.

[Oops. She hadn't meant to show anything. Back to the neutral expression she typically walks around with.]

I'm all right, Obito-kun. Thank you.

[He nods.] I'll talk to Neji to see if he has free time for that, then. He seems pretty busy a lot of the time...

[And suddenly she's okay. He wasn't sure, though... Girls could be so weird.]

If you say so...

[He paused.] We haven't done anything together in a few days.

[Oh, good. A change of subject. Because the possibility of Obito having a crush on Hinata is not something she wants to address right now.]

You're right, we haven't. Did you want to make plans? Or we could train together right now, if you want.

Ah, I was thinking more like... ice cream? After training?

Unless you're busy, of course!

[She would probably kick his ass if they trained together...]

I do really like the banana ice cream at Death Robbins. Sure. We can meet after training.

[Until then, she'd work extra hard. Hanabi only liked to let herself have some sort of reward if she felt she'd earned it.]
