EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!

Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control



The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.

Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.

There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.

Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...

[Sion would prefer the offensive but Akiha...

...Akiha was doing the talking today. If she wanted to leave, then so be it, but they'd probably get in trouble for letting a witch walk free.]

You didn't say you were friends, only that you knew her. I expect her to be mad, so it won't be your fault in the slightest.

[Akiha stopped when the moose got protective, her eyes watching it for a moment before looking back at the witch, though she kept part of her attention on it.]

I'm giving you the chance, now, to leave Death City to deliver my message. It's not even a retreat for you if you do so now. Otherwise, we will defend this city, overactive abilities or not.

I'm friends with as many people as I can. It's part of being polite where I'm from. Don't you have a lot of friends?

[The little witch giggled softly at the threat, finding it very noble but pointless in a way. She isn't allowed to go against orders.]

I'm sorry, but I can't leave yet. Someone bigger then me told me to do something here, so I will. Since you have noble intentions yourself, I'm sorry it's come to confrontation... but good-bye.

[Without warning, she flicked a hand up and ice shards erupted from her palm as the moose darted forward in an attempt to sweep Akiha aside.]

[Sion was ready for this and she leaped back to defend herself against the magic. She had mastered partial transformation a long time ago and had her arms transform so she could block what she could with them. Of course, it was a powerful attack so it was painful, regardless of the partial transformation.]

[The moment the witch had said she couldn't leave, Akiha was ready to act. She knew Sion had been ready for a while since she hadn't said anything since the witch appeared; she knew her partner that well. And since they needed to limit the time they had physical contact, she had already decided that she was going to take care of the moose before they could deal with the witch. They'd learned the lesson of letting the familiar live too long the last time they fought a witch.

When the moose came at Akiha, she dodged to the side that put the moose between her and the witch. Since the beast hadn't had any time to build up a charge, she was more worried about the antlers than she was its size. One would think she'd avoid being hit, but that wasn't the case. She hooked her arm about the sweeping antler, the sleeve of her shirt ripping all the way up, and her overactive ability of Soul Bite let her sap more of the moose's energy than she normally would and she didn't even have to think about it.

She grabbed all that excess energy inside her and channeled it into her soul so there was significant power in the punch to the moose's head when she unleashed Soul Menace. And blew herself backward onto her ass with the recoil.]
