EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!

Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control



The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.

Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.

There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.

Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...

Obviously. Didn't come out here to mess around.

[He hurries over to Kyubey, suddenly feeling... far more full of vigor than he had been. Maybe it's just from the good fortune of finding a Weapon so quickly? Yeah, that must be it. Nothing weird at all. He holds a hand out toward Kyubey, not wanting to waste any more time than necessary.]

C'mon! If you're ready to fight, let's fight.

[Obviously, he would've stayed inside. Still, here he is, putting himself in the line of fire. From Kyubey's observation though, he had returned to Casualty Communal with someone. A friend? Huhu...]

[Pleased, Kyubey leaps into his hand and transforms at once. The blank gem lands in Mondo's hand and Kyubey's soul is already waiting for a response.]

Mondo wastes no time in taking a hold of the Soul Gem, reaching out with his soul to establish the resonance as fast as possible. His soul likely feels far more fired up than the last time the two resonated, more than what would be expected simply from being in a high-energy situation like this one.]

[Within the soul space, Kyubey's ears perk up when he notices how Mondo's energy is different from the other day. His ability - whatever it was - seemed to be increasing his usual output. Well, resonation and transformation established, he could borrow some of this.]

Let's try this one. [Instead of an ice axe, Mondo would receive a standard battle axe.]

[It's a little different than he had expected, but he has no qualms about the weapon shift. Hell, he isn't even putting up about the clothing change this time around, he knows better than to be picky in a situation like this one.

With the transformation complete and the resonance solidly established, Mondo's soul revs up as he charges in to the fray - with quite a bit more speed and power than he had anticipated. Though he does stumble a little, uttering a small,] What the hell? [It's not enough to stop him from going in to fight.]

Your energy reserves are running low. How much adrenaline are you running on?

[It's a perfectly innocent question. Kyubey doesn't know what Mondo's Meister ability was, but it seemed like the few Meisters he saw going by were having trouble with their own. He would have to make it a point to ask those he worked with in the future... after the fighting though. There's an egg ahead just waiting to be hacked apart.]

[There's a small, indignant sort of reactive flicker from Mondo's soul at the question, but it doesn't linger. Something weird is definitely going on, but he's not in a frame of mind to sit and try and pin-point exactly what is is.]

Don't worry, it'll be fine.

[It would take more than this to stop him, after all. There was the matter of those Kishin eggs terrorizing everyone that needed to be dealt with. He charges toward the nearest one, perhaps with his enthusiasm forcibly restrained so as not to overexert himself right off the bat and... Nope. It still looks like he's using a lot more force than intended, as the axe slides almost effortlessly through the target and ends up with the blade lodged solidly in the street at the end of the swing.]

[Kyubey gets the same feeling from him as from Kyoko... well, almost. Either way, it doesn't matter. Ultimately, he doesn't care, but Mondo would be fine most likely.]

[Both ear tufts rise when Mondo attacks, completely splitting through the egg and cracking the street. That definitely wasn't his axe. Mondo had definitely been the force behind that.]

Better watch what you're swinging at.

That wasn't on purpose...!

[He may sound angry, but it doesn't appear to be aimed at Kyubey's cautions. With a small heave (again, less effort than he accounted for), he pulls the axe out from the ground, having to steady himself before charging in once more.]

[Not perturbed at all, his ear tufts falling back down. Mondo's handling the weapon with barely any breath and checking his levels, Kyubey finds them ticking. He would warn the Meister when they were too low; keep him from passing out and being eaten at the very least.]
