EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!

Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control



The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.

Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.

There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.

Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...

[The closer Sephiroth got, the more concern he felt within. Nothing would ever show on his face in that regard, but the lack of any type of feeling from Cloud concerned him greatly. Something wasn't right. No it was very wrong.

His wing burst out from his shoulder and stretched out wide before Sephiroth stepped off the side of the building and glided down to where Cloud was casually strolling. He swooped in over the blonde's head to land gracefully a few paces ahead of his partner.

There was no hint of how he felt on his expression, even if there was a flicker of concern within the burning mako of his gaze. The bodies all around him didn't matter, they never would when the blonde was concerned.]

Cloud.

[Cloud was aware of the fact that his partner was close, but his usual directional skills in the link that they shared was difficult because his lack of emotion made it hard to bother concentrating on any one thing. It wasn't until a shadow fell over him and then the man he recognized came into view that he knew.

He continued to walk forward, coming to a stop when they were within an arm reach of one another. His eyes reflected out no emotion as he peered up the height difference. Yet, something in the man dredged a small need to punctured through the haze he lived in.]

Something is wrong with me, but I really could care less what it is. It's getting worse.

[Sephiroth had witnessed the change in some of the other guests. He hadn't cared why that had been until now. The lack of any emotion out of Cloud was discerning, and the ex-General both displeased and concerned over just what could be causing such a reaction.

The lack of anything within those usually expressive blue eyes alarmed him along with the words that followed.]

Perhaps it is connected to the attack on the city. Are you able to fight?

[Cloud would have normally closed the distance between them, but with his Meister ability seeping ever deeper into him, he simple stood very still. He only looked around him because it seemed like something to do with himself rather than being of importance given the battle area they were in.

He sighed and shrugged his shoulders, his hands almost lax around the sword he was carrying. It was a wonder if he could even bring it up in time to stop any attack, but it didn't bother him at all.]

I can fight. Just... haven't found anything to fight.

[There was a fear growing inside that this may be something that might be irreversible. He had lost so much already in his life, and his time with Cloud was something he had finally begun to believe was something that would break the chain and last forever. The fear that he could lose what he had gained and cherished frightened him - the emotion only ever hinting in his eyes as he regarded his blonde Meister.]

Then you will remain in my presence until this attack has ended.

[Sephiroth wasn't going to leave Cloud's side regardless of the cost, and he would defend his Meister viciously if need be.]

[His meister ability blocked even most of the emotion that came from his partner, and his mind wandered away from what it was presented with. He looked around the streets as if he had never particularly seen them before, and his fingers shifted on his sword.]

Alright, perhaps sometime we can find something to fight.

[He looked up at Sephiroth, and it was too much effort to even change his expression to reassure the other.]

[Sephiroth did what he could to not allow for his fear to consume him. It was only the chaos that appeared to still go on around them that kept it at bay for now, but as that neutral face turned to look at him, he couldn't help but find that strength wavering.

He kept telling himself that he would wait patiently for this attack to end before allowing that fear to take root, but that was something the ex-General was finding more difficult to do than anything else. That didn't stop him from inclining his head in acceptance before he turned and begun heading down the war-torn street.]

Let's go.

[He watched his partner blankly for a moment and the only reason he found motivation to move now that he had stopped was because Sephiroth had told him to. He shifted his weight and followed after his partner, keeping a slow pace as he either stared straight ahead or occasionally looked around.

He still trailed his partner no matter which way the man went, having no inclination to change his path any more than he had inclination to get a better grip on his sword.]

[Cloud's presence was constantly there in the back of his mind while they walked in silence, but Sephiroth could feel the severe emotional detachment within his partner. It was disorientating in its own way. For so long he had weathered and grown accustomed to the varied emotions that had emanated from the younger male that it was something he had come to rely on and enjoy. To be suddenly left with nothing was far more disturbing than he would have cared to admit.

Sephiroth didn't stop but continued to make his way through the city streets. While part of his attention remained fixated on the quiet blonde, he remained alert for any possible danger while he searched for a safe place to take Cloud.]
