EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!
Characters: Everyone and anyone
Location: Anywhere in Death City!
Rating: PG-13
Time: August 23
Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control
The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.
Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.
There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.
Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...
((OOC: Please put [Character | Location | OPEN/CLOSED ] in your subject header. Also, please specify in the subject header if you've signed up for a Witch encounter!))

Chika | Heading to the clinc | Open
But then something weird had started to go on, and as Chika was walking through the city while heading to the clinic to check on Aqua, something even stranger had happened. It felt like her soul was being torn into pieces, trying to go into every direction that it could possibly go into, causing her to and fall to her knees, clutching her chest. God, it really hurt and she had no idea what was causing it...
Until she felt what felt like resonating happening for the briefest moments. With more than two weapons. Like, it had to be at least seven.
It was only a brief moment before it broke, but she was still breathing in rather deeply as she tried to make it to her feet rather shakily. "What... what the hell is going on?"
Closed to Aqua | The Clinic
She knew that she should probably stay away from any large groups of people for right now, but with the city under attack it made even more sense for her to get to Aqua and make sure she was okay. She didn't know if Aqua was going to be capable of defending herself like this.
Not that Chika was going to be much help at this rate. But it was too late to turn back now. Even if she was using the chairs in the lobby for support as she walked through the clinic. "Aqua? Are you still here?" she asked outloud, before realizing that it was probably stupid to ask that with how injured the other girl must've been.
She should probably try to get to the patient's rooms quickly, to make sure that she was okay. With how exhausted she was though, it didn't even occur to her that she might make things worse just by walking up to her with the way her powers were flaring up like this.

When it finally clicked she sat up suddenly and hissed at how much it hurt to do so. She dropped back onto the bed for a moment before she tried to sit up again, this time more gingerly.
She wasn't a stranger to wounds, but it was pretty obvious that this was worse than what she's used to. She pursed her lips and took stock of where she was bandaged and, if she was any judged, she was pretty sure some of her ribs were either broken or bruised.
The alarms carried on in the background and, gritting her teeth, Aqua levered herself from the bed and slowly made her way out of the room and into the hallway. She remembered, briefly, another time, another injury that had been much less serious than the ones she had now. How she'd been talked into going to the clinic because she would be no help if she collapsed.
Back then though, she reasoned, she had been a Meister and that meant if she can't fight then she was a burden. She was a Weapon now and as long as she can find a Meister...
As she made her way down the hall she found herself with a hand on the wall for support. She stopped though when she felt a prickle of...was that resonance?
Aqua looked confused for a moment. The only person, as far as she was aware, who could do distance resonance was Neji, but this wavelength felt like...
"Chika?"
no subject
But it looks like she hadn't actually done that. Which was good, because when she got a look at Aqua she had no idea how the other girl was even standing. "Aqua..." she mumbled out, before moving over to actually help support the other girl. "I knew that you had gotten hurt badly, but I wasn't expecting all of this."
Chika moved herself so that she could swing Aqua's arm over her shoulder, while her own arms moved to her friend's waist so she could steady her a bit more. "We should... try to get you back into one of the rooms. You're in no condition to fight like this."
And neither was her, if the next sudden attempted of her soul to latch onto Aqua's was any indication. "Something's... something's wrong with me too. We really should go hide."
no subject
She wanted to protest though when Chika suggested hiding. (Then again, it was difficult to imagine someone who was willing to walk out of her hospital rooms in her state agreeing to going back so easily.)
She bit them back though at Chika's admission that something was wrong with her. She frowned and stopped walking and turned to Chika. She allowed the connection to be formed between them even if it surprised her given that Chika was telling her to not fight.
"What do you mean?"
no subject
"That's not really normal, and if we get involved in a fight things are going to go really badly if we're around anyone else."
no subject
For Aqua, it had always been easy to walk into danger. It was a part of her duty, and Aqua if there was something Aqua never did, it was to turn her back on her duty and on the people she could protect.
She hadn't even found it difficult to walk into danger with her friends at her side.
That was not to say, however, that she found it easy to risk the safety of her friends.
She pursed her lips.
"How is that possible? To be unable to control your own wavelength..." Not even the Maddness Wavelength could cause that to happen...
no subject
She didn't really know much about the details though, but at least for right now her resonance with Aqua seemed stable. Almost a bit stronger than it usually would've been, actually... but maybe she was getting ahead of herself there. It's not like she and Aqua had resonated much recently.
But before she could say anything else, there was a crashing sound against the door, and her eyes widened when she realized that it was probably a kishin egg. Or something worse. Her attention turned back to Aqua, but she didn't even really know what to say right now. Should they get ready to fight? But Aqua was hurt and her resonance was kinda out of control and...
The crashing sound happened again, and Chika flinched a bit. "It seems like it's going to break in here any second. I think we're out of time to hide..."
no subject
Aqua hadn't seen the broadcast, hadn't even had time to see where her communicator even was, but if Chika said it was there then she believed her. If it were true though, then the situation was probably a lot worse than she'd thought. If all the Meisters were affected, then that would make fighting difficult.
Her head immediately snapped up when she heard the crash. Her expression hardened, almost business like, as she considered their options.
There were, unfortunately, very few.
She took a steadying breath before sliding away from Chika a little, pulling her arm back from where it rested behind the other girl's neck. She grit her teeth and, somehow, managed not to sway.
"We'll have to fight."
Her voice was quiet, but resolved and there wasn't a hint of fear or hesitation in her posture or in the way she took Chika's hand.
"We have no other choice."
no subject
"I know," she said. "I just hope that there's not more than one of those things out there. I don't know how long we're going to be able to last in the state that we're in. I'll try not to put too much strain on you. I don't want to make everything worse."
Which was why she wanted them to hide in the first place, but it was too late now. The Kishin was going to burst through that door at any second. Now all she needed to do was be ready to defend herself when Aqua transformed into her weapon form.
no subject
The aches and pains seemed more distant when she's in this form even if she's not in top fighting condition. But it was better than nothing.
"I'm more worried about you. I'm not the one in danger of being hurt in the fight."
no subject
As long as she didn't try to resonate with another random weapon nearby, they should be good.
"I'll be careful," she said, moving Aqua so that she was ready to strike when the kishin burst through the door. Chika barely paid it's appearance any mind besides the fact that it had really sharp claws. And was, you know, jumping at them. She jumped back, moving out of the way of it's swipe before slashing at it with Aqua's blade. Hoping that the thing didn't manage to dodge it and get an attack in.
