Description: Let's send off summer in style! And by that we mean parfaits.

For a while now, some flyers have been floating around advertising the Hikan Cafe's 'Farewell My Beautiful Summer Extravagenza!'. On it there are the silhouettes of ten parfaits with a large question mark on each. There's one more on the bottom with the words, 'NOMINATE A CHALLENGER!' written on top in bright and bold letters.

Besides that there's a date: coming to the Hikan Cafe on August 15!

When the day of the reveal finally came, the flyer on the Hikan Cafe's door was replaced with a fully coloured poster. At each table you will find a smaller, laminated copy as a special menu.

Let's enjoy the end of the summer, guys!

If you think of it as a dessert inspired by a very dear someone, then it isn't weird at all, de arimasu! Besides, lots of foods are named after other people, de arimasu.

[ He repeats the word slowly like he's trying out the taste and sound of it, but then he slowly starts nodding, thoughtfully putting a hand on his chin. Yeah, actually, that sounds pretty reasonable..! ]

I get it! Just like when you make a statue for someone, right? Except this one's more delicious!

[That was easy. Keroro grins only partly because he hadn't had to work very hard to convince Jousuke.]

[ Hey, Josuke's a pretty enthusiastic guy, so it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to get him behind an idea as long as it's nothing unethical.. ]

Hey, how could I not if you put it that way? That'd mean I would have to think statues are weird too.. and then I'd just seem like a dumbass! [ Well, sometimes you seem like one without trying, Josuke. ]

Of course you wouldn't, de arimasu! I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who think that statues are weird, de arimasu.

Wait, really?! People think that sort of thing? But statues, they're just.. well.. pieces of rock in some shape, there's nothing that weird about it!

[ Although, thinking about it.. ] .. maybe if they made a statue of someone naked.

[ Yeah, that'd be pretty awkward alright. ]

That's because you don't think statues are weird. If you don't, you can't always expect to understand why someone would, de arimasu. It's like fears or favourite foods. Some of us like sea cucumbers, some of us are terrified of them. Some of us really like clams and some of us don't.

[Also naked statues probably fall under the category of art. He doesn't really have an opinion on naked statues though.]

[ Well, he guesses the frog is sort of right, but statues still seem so normal that it'd be weird to think of them as weird.. but there's something that stands out more to him in that speech. ]

Of course I don't, de arimasu. That would be dumb. The one who thinks they're scary is Giroro.

[Keroro thinks a broken Gundam is much scarier.]

All I know is that he screams even if he thinks there may be sea cucumbers somewhere nearby. [He knows this from experience.]

I guess he's at least lucky since it's not like there's constantly sea cucumbers everywhere, huh?

Well, if you want we could always tie him down and dangle a sea cucumber in front of him till he explains himself, de arimasu.

Besides, he's also afraid of ghosts. And ghosts could be everywhere, de arimasu. I should tell him that one of these days, de arimasu.

[Keroro is really an exemplary leader. Really.]

[ Keroro... at least Josuke can't really scold him for the latter half since it sounds like something he'd pull on one of his friends, really.. even though it'd be meant as an innocent dumb teenage prank. ]

Man, isn't that torture?! [ The first part, that is. And although Josuke's done torture-level stuff before, it was only on people who deserved it, there's a difference.. ]

[And also Keroro thinks it would be hilarious. Besides, Keroro still remembers that time when Giroro shoved that grenade in his mouth back in the first episodes. Just because Keronians are resilient and he survived it perfectly fine is no reason to not use that for petty revenge. Never forget, never forgive!]

[ This seals the deal, obviously the.. frog.. thingies.. aliens.. are not entirely sane. Or approve of random torture. ]

Not even any parent would say that to their kid!

Giroro's dad would.

[Then again, Keronian parents tended to have a sink or swim philosophy in raising their kids. Keronians in general did everything with a sink or swim philosophy. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, after all.]

[ Well, his grandfather thought it was a good idea to press a gun against Josuke's head, he sort of counts even if he's not a parent.. ]

.. Really?! Mom can be pretty harsh sometimes, but there's no way she'd do that.. I think!

[Was it a loaded gun, though? Because Keronian parents would probably point loaded guns at their kids' heads. They probably wouldn't fire them though, because that would be Terrible Parenting.]
