Description: Skiing! Hot chocolate! Snowball fights! Hiking! Folks of Death City say 'screw the heat' and decide to take a frosty vacation a few states away. COMMENCE MISCHIEF.



The discounted price came at a surprisingly good time. With the temperatures in Nevada climbing and no end in sight, it seems the owners of a Pacific Northwestern lodge took pity on the Meisters and Weapons of Shibusen and offered them a break from the heat. Despite it being July, the snow was still plentiful for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and innertubing! Dress warm, rent some gear or bring your own and have at it, they say!

From dawn to dusk, the mountain is lively on all sides, boarders and ski nuts to ski newbies enjoying a mid-week break while nature buffs take hikes over the trails on the greener side of the mountain, reachable by a short bus ride from the main lodge. Whether you're more into the powdery white or the vivid green, there's a spot for you to take a breather on Mount Hood.

[Man it felt way better not to feel your legs all tangled up in weird angles. He shifts gingerly, waiting for the blood flow to return to his ankles.]

Y'had it for a sec or two not long before... s'wrong? It's okay to go a little faster than you were n' still have control.

[She shifted away a little more so he could move better.]

I'm worried that once I pick up speed I'll fail to slow down.

That's what the wedge is for, man! It's impossible not to slow down when ya use it. If it was useless then nobody's learn it, y'know?

[Ah, jeez, his ass was getting cold. He started rising to his feet and offered her an arm.]

I know! [She looked down, flushed with embarrassment, but she did take hold of his arm. Standing up, she sighed]

You'll beg my pardon if morality statistics keep me from trying to fully learn how to ski.

A'right, a'right, point. All the downslope ski chases are in the movies, not real life.

Keep hangin' on, let's get the skis back on. We're just gonna sink in the powder if we walk the rest of the way down, anyway.

I know that. Still, people falling over and breaking bones, or... running into trees... [She can imagine herself doing that.]

[She nodded, knowing that attempting to walk down in this condition would have one of them tripping.]

[They got this far on trust. She could trust him to keep her safe with this too...]
