Description: Skiing! Hot chocolate! Snowball fights! Hiking! Folks of Death City say 'screw the heat' and decide to take a frosty vacation a few states away. COMMENCE MISCHIEF.



The discounted price came at a surprisingly good time. With the temperatures in Nevada climbing and no end in sight, it seems the owners of a Pacific Northwestern lodge took pity on the Meisters and Weapons of Shibusen and offered them a break from the heat. Despite it being July, the snow was still plentiful for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and innertubing! Dress warm, rent some gear or bring your own and have at it, they say!

From dawn to dusk, the mountain is lively on all sides, boarders and ski nuts to ski newbies enjoying a mid-week break while nature buffs take hikes over the trails on the greener side of the mountain, reachable by a short bus ride from the main lodge. Whether you're more into the powdery white or the vivid green, there's a spot for you to take a breather on Mount Hood.

The question is, where do you even start?

Biowulf huffs when he catches a glimpse of the source of the scent. Akiha has the scent of the desert on her still, of the heat and the sand, just like himself. He rights himself and slowly walks over to where she is leaning against the tree.

"Hrrnnn...This...weather is a change."

He's heard humans use this ice breaker before. He'll try his luck at it. The lupine EVO is still learning a great deal about dealing with humans. He'd like to think he's getting better at it.

Akiha glances over as the wolf-being is rather large and hard to ignore, even when she's in mid-thought.

"It's too cold," Akiha replied. "But I suppose it is a reprieve from the temperatures in Nevada. You look like you're better built for this weather than the heat."

"Hrrrnnnnn."

He gives a slight nod of his masked face.

"Perhaps...a little."

He does have some fur, after all. Still, the cold eats its way into his joints and it feels unpleasant.

"Too cold for too long isn't good, either."

"Moderation is key," Akiha replied.

She then tilted her head a bit, as if trying to decide whether she cared enough to bother with the line of conversation that crossed her mind. In the end, she decided to follow through with it.

"How have you been since BREW sent the others from your world home?"

Biowulf's fur bristled at her question. The lupine EVO shifted his weight and gave a long, canine whine.

"Hrrrffff...I have felt...lonely. I am finding...I don't know what to do."

That whine was pretty pathetic, but instead of disdain, Akiha felt... pity. Must be because she tended to see him more as an animal than a person.

"Do you have a partner?"

Arguably, he was currently more of an animal than a person, so her assessment was accurate. He still had so much to learn about how humans acted...but he knew he felt awful...lost...without a pack.

"I've tried a few."

None seem to have stuck the way he needs. There's nothing wrong with the Meisters. They've been successful on their missions, he's just...having trouble connecting.

Akiha hummed a moment in thought. She had been talking to Takuto about him finding another partner, but she wasn't sure...

"What do you need in a Meister? And I mean need, not want."

Biowulf rumbled and thought...what did he need?

He knew what he wanted...but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

"I need...an alpha...but not just that. It is...difficult to be alone without anyone else."

A family. A pack. He needs an entire pack. He had that for awhile with Six and Doctor Holiday. He liked it....more than he was willing to admit at the time.

An alpha... So, a strong, commanding personality that was also protective. That sounded familiar but she couldn't place who it reminded her of. So she thought about Takuto.

Well, it wouldn't hurt for him to try.

"I think you should talk to Takuto. He's looking for a partner and may have what you need. And I already offered to take him out on a few missions with Sion and me."
